L’Oréal True Match Plumping Tinted Serum (vault shade 'medium')

I have always been a fan of the loreal true match foundation, so was super excited to see a trial pop up for the new true match plumping serum. My skin is older now compared to when i first started using true match, so there is pigmentation to try and cover. The packaging is beautiful, a lovely glass bottle with a dropper on top. The foundation itself is very runny and no real smell to it. The dropper will be extremly useful once the product is running low. I find only a small amount is needed to apply, and blends beautifully with anything, i tried brush, blender and fingers. This finish is a great medium coverage i would say, perfect if you dont like anything too heavy. And its cut down my makeup application time to 10mins! Great for adding a lovely glow to your skin for errands in the weekend, kids school drop offs, or glam work and weekends. I wouldnt say i noticed 'plumping' but the overall look of my skin was healthier. Will definitely keep using.

I liked it because it was so light weight on my skin which was nice cause i have pretty oily skin so try not wear too heavy products. It was different to what i usually use because i tend to wear more coverage foundations. I had tried a serum foundation but didn't particularly like it but i was open to try this and see how it went.

The coverage is light but it makes your skin look so healthy and glowy. I love that it has hyaluronic acid in it which we all know is so good for our skin. It's an easy step to put this on daily. I personally applied it with a brush and followed up with powder and other makeup because i do have to wear makeup for my job but i definitely think you could apply it with your hands instead and no powder and it would still look lovely.

I love this foundation. I’m not into particularly heavy foundations and matte foundations sit in every wrinkle and fine line and make them stand out more!

This serum foundation is light and hydrating. The coverage is good and I feel leaves me with a very natural look. You don’t need a lot at all either so I recommend starting with a little and building on it.

My only ‘niggle’ with it is that it’s a very watery consistency compared to most foundations so the dropper applicator can be dripping as you lift it out of the bottle so you’ve got to be quick depositing foundation for application or you’re at risk of getting it on your clothes (I’ve done it twice) or on the vanity etc. I now deposit foundation to back of my hand then use a sponge to apply! Apart from that - this foundation is likely to be my new daily!!

It comes in a standard glass bottle with a kind of dropper top. The kind where you roll the product off the dropper onto your skin instead of squeezing it out. It's a bit messy.

The shade is 3-4 Light -Medium which I thought would be good for my pale skin. It is a slightly orange but not so much to be a deal breaker. It is also thinner than I would usually expect from a product of this type, but that is also not an issue as it doesn't apply too thinly on my skin. I apply it with a beauty blender and that works well.

I've been wearing it to work every day and like that it is light, natural, and easy to use. When I take the time to apply to evenly and carefully, it looks nice and gives my complexion a lift. Disclaimer though - I still use concealer on the blotchy parts of my skin as it is quite blotchy/uneven at the moment. The product doesn't dry my skin or irritate the sensitive areas. It washes off easily at night as well.

This product is $47 at Farmers and $ 42 at The Warehouse. It's a pretty good product but I think I'll stick with a tinted moisturiser for similar results and a quarter of the price. I recommend it to anyone else to try if they're happy with the price as it's only the price that would make me think twice about buying it.

This serum might just be my new holy grail product! It’s light, covers like foundation and makes my skin feel so good. Pros: - feels light on your face - gives good light coverage despite being just a tinted serum - doesn’t clog pores - no overpowering smell - face feels smooth and doesn’t look patchy

Cons: - dropper/pump isn’t great so you sometimes need to apply by wiping the dropper on your face - it is a tinted serum so not able to build it up if you want a fuller coverage like you would a foundation

Overall, I really love this serum. The bottle is cute and a convenient size. I will quite happily buy this again and again!

Depending on the day, my skin can handle foundation one day and next it'll handle matte foundation, but this applied so smoothly on my skin with amazing coverage. I'll definitely purchase this after my bottle is done.

I have fallen in love with this product which was quite a surprise! It goes on flawlessly and feels so lightweight on your skin. It gives just enough coverage to even out my skintone and the hyaluronic acid made such a difference. It make my skin look so nice and glowy and definitely helped my skin to retain mositure.

Oh my life, I think I have just found the best foundation for my skin! This product is fantastic if you have dry/dehydrated skin like mine. It has added hyaluronic acid in it for hydration and plumping skin. Which is fab if you have a few life lines on your face. It leaves a luminous glow on the skin, and has a dropper for application, so you won't waste it. It goes on quite sheer, sort of like a bb cream, but 10 times better. Blends in well to the skin and is really smooth and you can feel it hydrating your skin instantly. I added a bit of powder on one day to see how that felt and it was great. I would perhaps add this at night if I was going out after work, just for a bit more coverage. If any of you like a lighter coverage, but a product that still covers blemishes and gives you hydration with a glow then this is the product for you. I will definitely be re-purchasing this as I just love it!

Ok, so I totally expected this to be a foundation that was a bit more hydrating than most...I mean what the heck is a 'tinted serum' right?

This product walks the line between foundation and serum beautifully. It seems to absorb into the skin, which a foundation wouldn't do. But equally it sits atop the skin, creating an even base - a serum wouldn't do that.

As a foundation this is blendable and buildable. Its light to medium coverage, smoothing and blurring imperfections more than full on covering them. It doesn't set into wrinkles and looks as dewy and fresh at the end of the day as it does at the beginning.

The shade match was pretty spot on as it isn't full coverage there's room to blend and play. Which is a relief because the shade range is just 9 shades.

The serum aspect of the formula is strangely lovely - your skin feels moisturised once you've taken your make up off for the day and after a couple of weeks of mostly daily use, I think my skin looks good sans tinted serum too. Skin feels plumper and softer.

I love this tinted serum and would happily repurchase. What can we blend with serum next L'Oreal?!
