I found this foundation gave quite light coverage (too little coverage for my liking) but a nice dewy finish, making it look quite natural on the skin. I'm not sure if I seem to get little coverage because of the fair shade I use or if all are like this? I use the shade called pure pearl. It is long lasting which I like but It isn't my favourite foundation. I lean more towards it when my skin is clear and doesn't need much coverage just evening out of the skin tone and a glow. Wouldn't recommend to those with oily skin as it is pretty dewy looking.

I love this foundation, it gives me a really nice dewy look and medium coverage. I pair it with the lumi magique primer and they work together beautifully. I apply it with either my sigma flat top or a Expert face brush from Real Techniques, I usually apply a layer then add a little more to areas like my checks that have freckles, then bounce my brush to create a higher coverage. I find this foundation to be long wearing but I always tend to set it with a setting spray or powder, especially in summer when my skin seems to have turned quite oily! I have this in N4, but will need to go a bit lighter in winter. I can confidently say I will repurchase this!
I really love the look of this foundation- a dewy look that is perfect for dry skin. Light to medium coverage, I found it didn't really cover all my blemishes. I have sensitive skin, so I was disappointed a week after using this my skin broke out- so unfortunately had to stop using it.
I love the natural dewy finish this gives. It makes me look healthy. Only thing I dont like is that is not long wearing. It is normally faded off by midday which I is why I dont use it much. It does feel really nice on my dry skin though. I find it gives a medium coverage.
Tips: To make it longer lasting use a primer and powder and try not to touch your face much. Not for oily skin.
I had used Loreal in the past, so thought i would try this product out as a 'full cover' foundation. Unfortunatley I can not use this foundation. I am usure if the ingrediants have changed, or the formula is different, but my face started burning 5 minutes after applying. I was so upset, and after washing it off i was left with a yuck rash under my eyes, and on my forehead. So i will not use this product, or any other loreal foundation again, for this reason. Even if i colour match on my hand, i end up with a huge rash and burning. so a little dissapointed.
Tips: Do a patch test, just incase you are sensitive like me :(
This is one of my new foundation favourites and here's why! Let's start off with the basics... I have dry/ normal skin and was on the hunt for a reasonably priced liquid foundation that would give me a dewy finish. I don't tend to wear a lot of foundation, it's mostly an occasional thing for me. When I do wear foundation I prefer a light-medium coverage as thankfully my skin is pretty good to me most of the time! L'oreal lumi magique foundation is a medium coverage foundation with a finish that looks dewy and glowy, rather than sparkly and oily! This is great for people like me who tend to have duller skin in the winter months! The formula isn't too thick or thin and applies great with fingers or a flat top foundation brush! what I love about the bottle is that it has a pump so it's not necessary to get foundation on your hands if you don't want to! It does tend to fade a bit during the day but not so much that it worries me! The colour works perfectly with my winter skin and acts as a perfect base for my rosy coloured blushes!
Tips: If you prefer matte finishes, this can be set with a powder over the top so you get the best of both worlds!
Heard good things about Lumi Magique, purchased it with high expectations and it did fulfill them.
Amazing finish; you really feel girly and pretty when wearing Lumi as it makes you glowy and radiant. Makes me look more awake and I get lots of compliments when I wear it. It's truly a pretty and angelic finish. I find it is long lasting if I'm at work, (sitting at a desk office job) but if I am out and about shopping etc I noticed it does wear off faster. You can feel that it is on and is a bit of a sticky finish just make sure to wear a finishing powder!
I really like this foundation, it has a super light consistency and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I am in love with dewy skin looks but I have slightly oily skin, this foundation is still great though and didn't turn me into an oil slick during the day. It just gave me a nice glow. I love the packaging, the pump is super helpful. The only problem I have is that there isn't a light yellow tones shade that suits me perfectly, so I just have to fake tan to wear the shade I have. Which is totally fine. I always apply mine with a flat top brush and set with a translucent powder. I like how it isn't super full coverage because I feel like I only need light to medium.
I was away from Auckland for 2 weeks when one of the most saddest things happened to me when I was applying my makeup. My favourite foundation had run out, it was the worst timing as I wasn't close to anywhere that sold my favourite foundation and the next best thing was Farmers which happened to be having a 20% off sale on all L'Oreal products. I had read many forums where makeup artists praised L'Oreal for their selection of yellow undertoned foundations so I started searching away when I came across the Lumi range. The bottle reminded me of cleopatra, brown and golden goodness. I was able to get this for $37 on sale which I was thrilled about, the shade Rose sand was pretty close to my skin tone.
For 2 weeks I wore this nearly every single day, most days I would normally wear BB cream but I am in love with this foundation. It is so lightweight and gives you a light to medium coverage. 1-2 pumps is more than enough for my face as a small amount goes a long way, it's also quite runny so you can use it sparingly.
The wear time is around 4 hours if I don't set the foundation or 6-8 hours if it's set with powder, I don't normally wear makeup for more than 6 hours so it doesn't bother me about the wear time.
I am very impressed with how natural my skin looks and how it gives me such a beautiful glow, I plan to buy another bottle of this once it goes on special again. My new favourite drug store foundation.
Tips: If your going to wear your hair up be sure to use run your foundation brush or sponge over your ears to help with any redness if you have red ears like me
I want what every woman after a good foundation would want.....coverage! I stopped in at my local Farmers store one day hoping to find the foundation of my dreams. I was first given three different testers, one with yellow undertones, red undertones and green undertones. I found out my undertones were yellow so N3 (pure linen) was selected and it became my bestie from there on out! I have dry sensitive skin so I was looking for a dewy finish that was gentle on my skin. Now $44.95 seems ridiculous to me for foundation but I had to give it a try to see if my skin was in agreeance with my eyes.
I love the shape of the bottle it's glass and very elegant, almost sexy. It has a plastic lid that protects the gold pump lid. I love that it pumps the liquid out because it means that I minimize waste by tipping out too much. The word that catches my attention most is LUMI. I am in love with the thought that it reflects light to give me a healthy glow without looking like an oil slick.
I apply mine with the Real Techniques foundation brush. I just find that it gives better coverage with minimal effort and minimal product. I finish it off by running my hand over my face to get rid of the brush marks. It gives me full coverage without even trying. It covers up dark circles and small blemishes that would normally stick its ugly head up despite foundation application. This to me is already the ultimate foundation and I am only just getting started. Alot of dewy foundations I have used in the past have a tendency to dry quite quickly and appear matte. This one however doesn't dry out too fast and the results show a glowing, almost highlighted look. It's not a shiny, oily look but a healthy just tanned glow. It certainly lives up to its name LUMI MAGIQUE because it's every bit of that!
The stay power is a something magique in itself. I go to work at 7.40am and don't return until 5pm some days and my face is still in tact with no smears, no wear marks and looking as glowy as I did when I stepped out the door. It even helps keep my eyeliner and eyeshadow in line by making it stay...BONUS!!! For anyone with dry skin like me you will not look back after trying this. If you are sick of matte foundations or dewy ones that don't work sticking to your dry patches and making your skin look worse; look no further! You have found your match, literally. If you can't find your perfect colour because it's too generic try L'Oreal Lumi Magique and find your correct undertone. These really are made to suit every skin tone.
Tips: Do not try if you have very oily skin.
