As someone quite inexperienced when it comes to brow-enhancing products, my first impressions of the L'Oreal Brow Artist retractable eyebrow pencil are that it is very straightforward to use, and it gives you a lot of control over how little, or how much, you'd like to pump up them brows. I tried the 108 'Warm Brunette' which shade matched really quite well with my dark brown brows. I like that there is a wide shade range available with this product as it's far harder to match your brows than it is your lashes. The triangular tip of the pencil means that you can draw on individual hairs with the fine point and also shade less precisely with the wider end. In this regard it absolutely lives up to the claim of being mistake-proof, which is important if you're not yet a brow expert! I love that the spoolie brush is attached and it gives a really natural look to your brows once they're brushed out. The product blended seamlessly without effort. One claim that didn't hold true for me was that the longevity being 24hrs and waterproof. It was quite easy to rub off from areas where my brows are thinner, in denser areas though, it did hold for the day.
Overall, a great product to try if you're looking for an all in one tool that provides lots of control and subtlety.
I have to say l'oreal are a little behind the ball on this one. Other brands have had these for a long time already. But hey the wait was worth it. I honestly can't fault this eyebrow pencil.
It is smooth to apply but had enough wax to hold the shape. The spool is nice and course making blending super easy. Makes brows look nice and full while still looking natural.
I personally used a fiber product over top as I prefer a less perfect look. But this is personal preference. It worked well with the fibre product and lasted well on hot days.
Give it a try, you wont be disappointed and it's super easy to use if you are a beginner with brows!
