L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Cover - GOLDEN BEIGE

I have loved discovering this foundation, thank you for opening up the world of matte looks to me BR!

I have uneven skin - nothing major, just rosey patches and a few sun spots. I also have the mean glasses tan line - so I do need a bit of coverage to get an even base, but I don't need a super heavy coverage as my skin texture overall is generally smooth and free from breakouts.

This product is very buildable. At its lightest, its medium cover - heavier than a BB cream. One layer is still a very matte finish. Two to three layers give very full coverage.

I used a beauty blender to apply, its just my preference, but I think it would do well with a brush too.

I don't party all day and night any more, so I can't put the 24hour claims to the test - but I do believe it would get pretty close! After a day at work, this was still on and in place. It doesn't transfer on to clothes and you'll definitely want a cleanser to remove this . A quick scrub in the shower will not get it all off!

I think my favourite thing about this product is that although it is a matte finish, it isn't flat. It doesn't leave skin looking dusty and grubby, its a kind of multi-dimensional matte if you like.

I have tried this foundation over a few days now, and put it to the test with some long days travelling for work in this humidity! Overall, I think this foundation is really nice - it has a beautiful matte finish that is quite natural looking, blends beautifully and doesn't look cakey. I found it to be a medium-to-full coverage foundation, that builds well and I barely needed any concealer to cover a couple of spots as I was able to build this foundation enough in any trouble areas! I found that it layered with other products, including my undereye concealer and setting powder well.

In terms of its 24 hour claim, I didn't find that this was the case for me! After about 8-9 hours of wear, I found that this foundation broke down on my more oilier areas (I have oily-combo skin) around my nose and chin, and needed retouching. Of course 24 hours is probably a bit optimistic, however I do have long-wear foundations from other brands that make similar claims and don't break down in these areas quite so quickly. For a more mid-range product, though, I thought this performed pretty well, and I will continue using it and purchase it again based on the blend-ability and natural-looking coverage.

I spend a lot of time trying to find the perfect foundation for my skin as my biggest problems is that my makeup never stays on my face (always ends up rubbing off) and that my foundation looks cakey in problem areas around my face! So for this foundation, I was excited to give it a try as it claims to last up to 24 hours on the skin and is L'oreal which means the price point of this product won't be crazy expensive. Basically, this product is good but definitely not my favourite. As expected, this foundation wouldn't last on my skin for anywhere near 24 hours as again I mentioned that makeup rubs off my face very easily (was very sheer coverage after about 5). Once applying it on the skin with a blending sponge as I usually do, I found that this foundation wasn't as full coverage as expected and that I had to build up the coverage. I didn't have any major issues with it looking cakey except for around my nose clung to the product in the crevices whilst the tip didn't let foundation stick to it as well. I will definitely continue to use this foundation although I find that there a better alternatives to this foundation that suit my skin type better.

I struggle to find foundations I like and that actually match me. I don't seem to fit most of the undertones, so I was reasonably surprised that the shade I chose wasn't a total disaster! It may have been slightly off tone-wise, but the colour was a fairly good match. I rate L'Oreal foundations anyway, so this is pretty consistent for them with how well they seem to match - a real bonus if you ever want to buy online without being able to swatch colours.

Although the packaging is simple, I loved how easy it was to apply; you could put it on a brush, sponge or straight on your face no worries! As you can squeeze it out, I feel that you can control the flow easier and I believe you would also be able to get most of the product out, meaning less waste and more bang for your buck; because who doesn't hate foundations you can only use half of, or pumps that break and bottles that won't pour the last bits out. It also smells rather pleasant, I can't put my finger on what the scent would compare too, but it's not bad at all and appeals to me as I don't like strong smelling cosmetics, in particular those that reek of chemicals.

As for how it performed, it went on easy, blended well and provided the full coverage without feeling cakey (as promised). I really don't like foundation that's heavy on the face in feel and look, so I was very happy with the coverage and feel.

Now, I really tested this foundation out, I went clubbing with it on. I figured something that says 24 hours on it would surely be my best choice for the night? I think it may have fared better if I used a little more, but it did pretty well considering how much I was sweating, moving around and blotting my face throughout the night (I dance hard). It did slip off my nose quite badly, but that's not entirely unexpected as I find this with a lot of cosmetics that go on that area. Overall, it held up well despite me putting it through the absolute wars during wear. In future, I would probably be sure to pop some extra makeup in my bag to top up those more oily areas during a night out.

Overall, I think this is a great little foundation, it's simple, I imagine affordable (considering L'Oreal's typical price point), very user friendly and it does the job. I don't think it's up there with the best foundations I've used, but I will definitely keep using this one, as it's still a solid product.

This foundation is fantastic it has a light but creamy texture covering great coverage and easy application. I've found that a little goes a long way if you want a nice light coverage. I can't pin point the smell I associate with it, its delightful albeit slightly stronger than desired when I applied too much. This didn't cause issues rather just personal preference. I enjoy that while being matte it offers dimension and doesn't make your face look flat and dull. The claim that it lasts 24H I would believe to be true. I do pole fitness as my exercise and it was able to withstand a hot sweaty fast paced routine that my previous make up would start to look patchy and gross. Something this foundation did not. It stayed put and had me looking hot the whole time.

The range of shades is great and I found the 110 shade to be spot on for my skin tone.

I've already recommended this foundation to a few friends and in terms of value for money I will definitely be buying it again.

I have 2 L'Oreal foundations that I use most days and it's one of my holy grails so I have high hopes for this new foundation which is L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Cover.

I really love it and I use it everyday now. I would say it's medium to full coverage depending on how much product you use. The summer weather makes my skin so oily but this foundation sticks to my face like a charm! I really love it and the shade is just perfect for my skintone. I didn't use any primer or anything during the trial and I could say that it stays all day on my face. I haven't tried to use it for a complete 24hours because I usually wash my face when I go home but I can vouch for its longevity. It's definitely not caking, flaking or fading which is really nice.

I would absolutely repurchase it when I ran out of it. I have finish two bottles of L'Oreal foundation and that's how much I love using it!

When I first received the product I was pleased with the packaging. It is a sleek and simple tube, with a thin nozzle. The colour was nice, not too warm or cool, and the smell was pleasant, very subtle.

I began to apply the foundation with a wet beauty blender and found it was a bit patchy and sat clearly on top of my skin, not at all blending in. I swapped to a brush for the other side of my face and it applied better, but still did not seem to want to blend with my skin as well as my normal foundation would.

The finish was very matte but was not dull. I found it to last well during the day but if I touched my face or rested it anywhere, there was transfer and the foundation did appear patchy on my face.

I will continue to try it with different primers and skincare underneath as I liked the finish.

I am an absolute foundation hoarder, so I was really happy to be choosen to try this foundation out! I wear makeup every day, all day (for work), so this was a great test to see how long this would last on my skin.

The formula of this foundation is beautiful, a little went a long way with this and I found that even though I was using a smaller amount, the coverage was still great! I applied it first with a brush and then pat it down with a sponge, and then a couple of other days I applied with just the sponge and preferred the look of that better. I found this foundation super easy to blend and I choose the absolute perfect colour too which was great. I found that the coverage was really great but that it did highlight my larger pores, but didn't sink in to my under eye fine lines.

I don't think I would call this foundation 'matte' though, I thought it went on more like a demi matte, so I still set it with setting powder which then made it matte. The foundation stayed on each day really well, some days I wore it for up to 14 hours and the foundation hadn't seperated or moved at all, which is massive for me because I usually find my foundations seperate around my nose and chin by the end of the day. I found that my t-zone was oily at the end of the day, but again this is nothing new for me, it just meant it wasn't '24 hr matte' for me.

Overall, I really loved this foundation and I can see myself continuing to buy it. It's a great summer foundation since it lasts all day through the heat, but also since it wasn't matte/or drying on my skin this is probably one that I can wear through winter without it looking dry and caking! This gets two thumbs up from me.
