my favourite matte colour.

Where to start! It took me so long to find such an amazing lip colour in matte for starters. I read about this brand over the Internet when I was looking at an American make up website. So I looked up if they sold these in NZ and they did! I found these for a reasonable price off pharmacy direct so I thought I would give them a try!!

The product comes in a nice thick tube, which makes it look expensive. The tube is high quality too, with a screw top as well so the lid doesn't unexpectedly come off in your handbag like other lip products do.

When I first put this on I fell in love, especially with this colour as it looked the best in the photos. The colour was neutral so it goes with pretty much any look and you can wear any day no matter what you are doing.

The first time I wore this, I was going out with friends for the night. It glides on smoothly like a normal lip gloss. It has a lip gloss type of application so it makes it easy to define your lips, and make them look more fuller.

The more you apply, the more intense the colour is and that is what I find great. The product looks like it is glossy when you apply, but dries quickly leaving you with a nice, full matte colour. As I was going out, I thought I would need to take this with me as I would need to apply through the night. But I left it at home! The most suprising thing I found with this lip gloss is that it stayed on the whole time I was out. This doesn't happen often with most lip products, so I knew from then on I found my perfect matte lip product.

Only problem I found with this product is after a few hours, the product does become quite sticky. Best thing to do is removing with make up remover and applying again for another round!

I love this product, I own this is 4 other colours and they all look great. This is my favourite colour though and as soon as I run out I will be sure to stock up again with this same product!

Great Buy

Dreamy is a nice nude, its a little tacky but not too much that its bothering, this last about 5-6hours, i find it a little more drying than the others in the line so i wear a lipgloss with this, but for the price they are all worth, I dont think you can find liquid lipsticks that are this good for so cheap. it dries to a complete matte and when i pat my lips with say a napkin, it doesnt transfer at all

Not dreamy

This little beauty caught my eye recently on the lovemymakeup website. I picked up several because they were selling for $6.49.

The colour dreamy is a pink-brown nude colour, the packaging is clear plastic so you can see the colour of the gloss. The applicator wand is different I was expecting a doe foot applicator like most lip glosses, but this is a long skinny wand.

This goes on pretty smoothly but it takes around 5 minutes to dry, which I find strange as most matte glosses usually take less than 1 minute. Once dried though it feels really sticky, I really dislike the feeling of it. I have tried putting lip balm on first, more gloss, less gloss but it gives me the same sticky finish. To the point where I can't wait to get it off my lips.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong or I have brought a dodgy one but I really don't like this gloss and probably won't use it again unless someone has an awesome tip for me?

Long lasting vivid colour, affordable

I picked this up in the latest beauty vault, and had high hopes, as I have tried this product in other shades previously. My hopes were not dashed as this lived up to all my expectations.

The packaging is incredibly good and classy for the low price. The gloss comes in a heavy sleek black and transparent tube, with a wide sponge tip applicator, that makes this easy to apply quickly.

Dreamy is a lovely pinky nude shade that I feel would suit all skin tones, and is very much like the Kylie Jenner nude shade that everyone has been lusting after.

Being a liquid lipstick, this applies liquid and dries matte. It dries nice and quick, and looks great. This doesn't bleed so there is no need for a lipliner. This has quite good staying power and lasts the day, although it goes gross when eating and crumbles off. I would purchase more of these in the future in other shades as I have nothing bad to say about these. These glosses are an affordable way to get the matte look.

Love it

I've purchased six of the La girl pigment gloss from the pharmacy and have tried two of the colour. These are not glosses despite the name but are liquid lipsticks. The colour dreamy is a nude orangey colour. The colour in the tube and the colour when applied to your lips is quite different but regardless the colour is beautiful. The colour doesn't stand out too much but still gives a nice colour to your lips. The applicator for this liquid lipstick is nice and straight so is really easy to apply liquid lipstick onto your lips. The formula is great too. Only after 1 minute of applying the liquid lipstick the lipstick starts to dry and turns matte. As for the staying power it probably lasts around 4-5hours? But it really depends what you do. Your lips get a bit dry but I didn't find it too Drying. I really enjoy these liquid lipsticks and I particularly love the colour dreamy.

Dreamy Matte Gloss

I love, love, love my La Girl Matte Gloss. I have 2 shades. This and frisky.

This shade is a nude pink with a slight brown tinge once dried.

The tube is a clear see through plastic, which is handy so you can see how much product is in side. The applicator is basically a stick! I find lining my lips helps to apply with this applicator.

The formula is quite thick, I'm unsure why it's called a gloss it's a glorified matte lipstick just in liquid form.

It goes on well but you need to keep applying if you want too build the colour up. I find it takes awhile to dry but once dried it has amazing staying power. Too the point you really need to scrub this off your lips for it too budge! I would change this. I think it's a great formula but it sets like concrete that I don't enjoy!

This product is great for the price, you can't expect amazing things for such an affordable product but this is pretty close! :) I picked it up from love my makeup website for $9.

Not my kind of Dreamy!

I am very fortunate to have friends obsessed with lipsticks - it means I often get gifted them. This was no exception. To be honest, I wouldn't have bought this brand myself, simply because I tried the concealers and didn't like them. One thing shouldn't change my opinion but it does, so here is my review!

I quite like the tube they come in. It's a glossy plastic with a matte lid and a long applicator - even the doe foot is quite long, which makes me think it reaches the bottom of the tube. I like that you can clearly see the product inside and the shade it is.

I didn't notice any smell, and application was smooth enough. It glides on easily, maybe a bit patchy in places, but it takes 2 coats nicely so that's fine. The color Dreamy on me is a very odd shade, not something I would pick up myself. It is like a peachy pink with brown undertones - so essentially a nude. It doesn't look bad... But its not a color I would confidently wear out.

It dries down to matte in roughly 10 minutes, but its still very sticky. Not in a gloss way, in a... two pieces of sellotape stuck together kind of way. It hurts (a little) to pull my lips apart if I smack them together. Wear time is average, I didn't notice anything special. Because of the color and the feeling it has on my lips, I wouldn't be inclined to buy more.

LA Girl Matte Pigment Gloss

I was excited to try this lippy as it is a new thing for me. I picked this colour because it seemed quite a nude colour and I could wear it with many outfits and make up looks.

It comes in a sturdy plastic clear plastic tube with a black screw top lid. There is the usual information written [in very small writing] on the tube leaving enough room to see the colour inside.

The colour is a great nude colour, not too dark to start with, however I did think it dried darker on my lips.

The applicator has a sponge at the end to apply your lippy. I didn't feel there was anything special about that. It holds enough product to do your lips and then I dip it in and go over my lips again.

It glides on nicely and quite evenly and takes a few minutes to dry.

I didn't think there was any gloss to see, so I was disappointed about that. Once it did dry, I felt my lips start to feel dry, so dry that after a while the colour started to sort od peel off. My lips felt awful.

The staying power of this is pretty awesome I have to say, to be honest, for me that is the only thing this product has going for it.

Overall I am not happy with this gloss and will not repurchase.

Great color, but not great.

I picked this up on special as I'd been after a matte dusky pink nude lip color for a while. I really like this color, it's versatile, I think that it's a color that would suit everyone, but sadly I'm not a fan of this gloss.

The packaging is ideal, sturdy tube, it's clear so you can see the product, and comes with a doe foot applicator. It's the consistency that I don't like about this stuff..

It applies patchy, although you can fix that up with a good few coats, and it's tacky on the lips. The stickiness of my lips when wearing the gloss, reminds me of those PVA glue sticks. This can be improved by applying a bit of lip balm on top, but then it's not exactly matte..

I don't find it too drying as mattes can be, and it lasts.

Overall I'm disappointed with this product. I'll still use it as I like the color and don't like to waste, but definitely wouldn't repurchase or recommend.

Affordable Liquid Lipstick

I have both Dreamy and Fleur matte pigment gloss and let me first say that the word gloss is misleading as it is simply a liquid lipstick - nothing about it is glossy!

It comes in a thick, sturdy tube package with a flat doe foot applicator, which is great for a cheaper product. Dreamy is a beautiful pinky nude and it does apply darker on the lips than it appears in the tube so be sure to check swatches online.

I would suggest to use a lip liner as it can be tricky to apply with the flat applicator (takes getting used to). The liquid lipstick takes a while to dry down and once it is dry, it remains tacky throughout the day. It does feel very drying on the lips but the lip liner does definitely help with that. Once I have eaten or drank, it wears off on my inner lip and leaves a crusty worn area. It does need to be reapplied to that area and definitely doesn't look perfect afterwards.

At the end of the day, the product is quite hard to take off my lips so its long-lasting claims are true (apart from the inner lip problem already mentioned). Due to its long-wearing nature, it would be perfect to wear out to a party or somewhere for a few hours where there is not too much eating involved.

DUPE? This colour is similar to the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity but slightly lighter. It is a good colour alternative but the formula of the Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick is much better if you can afford to pay the price.

Overall, I do like it as an affordable liquid lipstick but you get what you pay for. If you don't mind having dry but tacky lips or re-applying throughout the day then it's a good cheap option. I love the colour and will probably re-purchase because of that - I just wear it for a few hours at a party or down the street.

Tips: 1. Use a lipbalm beforehand and use a lip liner as a base all over the lips 2. Take it in your handbag for re-application after eating
