I loooooove the look of matte on lips, think its gorg. But for reason I found that the formulation of this product, although it did stay all day and didn't budge, was extremely drying on the lips. Also the colour was slightly darker than what I was expecting. All in all a better than average product with minor problems

Tips: Make sure you moisturise your lips like crazy before you use.
Long lasting, super pigmented and doesn't dry your lips out. Can be hard to put on though but once dry turns matte and lasts a long time so no need to worry about re apply for ages!
Tips: don't apply to lips straight away, swipe wand ontop of opening to get rid of excess, makes it easier to apply!
After seeing sooo many people rave about the Velvetines range, I had to try it for myself. I purchased the Suede Berry shade which is a beautiful, bright red/orange. The bottle and packaging is very pretty. The lipstain itself is quite watery so you need to be careful when applying it but a little does go a long way. The colour is very pigmented and 2 coats gave me a nice deep, matte colour. The staying power is great, better than any other lippy I've tried. I ate, drank and gossiped away for the day and 5 hours later it was still on although the finish wasn't as perfect and the inside part of my lips was coming off. One thing that stopped my giving it a perfect score was the fact that it is very drying and it accentuated the dry lines that my lips get. Overall it is a fantastic product and I can't wait to try the other shades.
Tips: Dry lips and loose skin are really noticeable with this product so exfoliate and apply lip balm first.
After a friend showed me hers I decided I had to try my own without a doubt. Now I am a devoted MAC girl but wow these Velvetines are defeintly making my loyalty swing! I have two and I wear them out more than my MAC's now. They glide on like a gloss and then fade to a matte stain. I love them because I can eat and not have to worry about leakage. And when I go to take them off I normally still have a slight hint of colour the next morning! The only bad thing I can say about these is that they are not actually kiss proof.
Tips: Get a good makeup remover if you want to fully get these lippies off! Cause they cling to your lips
I have the Pink Velvet one and despite loving the colour, I have mixed feelings about the product. As someone who can barely colour in between the lines, I initially struggled with its application as it is really runny and bound to go everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE; waaay beyond your lip line). Your hair, your face, your clothes; nothing will be spared if you're not careful!
Once it is on and it has dried it is a fabulous shade of pink. The matte consistency is rather drying though, so make sure to moisturize your lips before and after wearing this lipstick.
Tips: Apply with caution! You need a slow and steady hand to master this product.
First things first, the pigmentation of this product is AMAZING. I have both Red Velvet and Suedeberry and I find one coat of each is suffice. The colours are very true and vibrant! The finish is matte, but it's a nice matte. It lasts forever and ever and I have never once had to reapply even after drinking and eating. There is only one problem with this, you cannot afford to make a mistake while applying this! It is so hard to remove without ruining the rest of your makeup so be careful and be sure to take your time when applying
Let me just say that practice makes perfect with these lippys. I got a little over excited the first day I got my beautiful Salem (a dark chocolate brown) & applied way to much which caused it to not settle to well on my lips & ended up becoming patchy during the day & touch ups were needed. But once I learnt how to apply it correctly they are just magic. They go on super smooth & then dry to a weightless Matte finish. Also I found that it smells exactly like buttery popcorn (I had this confirmed by some friends). I will definitely be adding more of these to my collection soon
Tips: Make sure you lips are nice & smooth before application. Also have then dry & balm or gloss free so that the liquid really holds in place
Everyone raves about these, the colours are beautiful and bright. However, they do look a lot smaller in person so keep that in mind! I was a little surprised. For me, having dry lips, they were slightly drying and cracked on the lips. But I've heard other reviews and that didn't happen! Red Velvet is the only one I haven't tried. Oh, and the super new ones that also look amaze.
Tips: Rub in a lip balm before applying!
I am absolutely in love with Velvetines by Lime Crime. These liquid lip colours are high pigment and don't transfer! I can apply it first thing in the morning and only need to touch up after I have eaten a meal. Lime Crime have created a long-wear, Kissable (yes! I said kissable!) stunning lipcolour that smells like caramel. mmmmmmm
Tips: practice, practice, practice!
I had to have those sexy velvet red lips. I'm not a lippy girl but now I'm converted! Packaging is cute. Nice bottle & applicator. You only need a tiny bit on the applicator as a little goes a very long way! What a absolutely fab colour. Eye popping. (Velvet red) It stayed on well through eating & drinking, needed to scrub it off before bed.
***update*** Love so much I've now brought wicked, pink and Salem and utopia! Looooving the lime crime!
Best thing I have found to remove is a coconut oil. Rub all over, use a cloth to remove. Continue normal cleansing routine
Tips: Wear a lip liner to make sure it doesn't bleed into your foundation before it sets dry. Use the liner all over the lip (a nude) just apply a light layer of the colour first, wait to dry a bit then another thin layer
