I got this product free in a Clinique gift pack in the shade 'Watermelon' and I love the colour! It moisturises my lips, and also lasts for 2-3 hours on my lips. I was slightly disappointed as mine broke in half after only using it a few times. I am definitely thinking of repurchasing this as I love the colour!

I love the original Chubby Stick formulation and I am a big Clinique girl so I was bound to acquire several of these. At present I have three: Heftiest Hibiscus (a gorgeous orange), Mightiest Maraschino (a lovely true red) and Roomiest Rose (a deep pink, and a more intensely pigmented version of Super Strawberry, which I also have).
I find these to be much more intensely pigmented than the original formula, which I often apply without a mirror and have a smooth moisturising finish. These I cannot get away with applying them without a mirror. They have a more matte finish than the original formulation too, which does mean they last longer.
Heftiest Hibiscus is my favourite (cannot go past an orange), but there are only 8 shades in the range so hopefully they will look at expanding it.
The formulation of this is amazing! So moist and smooth. It doesn't get greasy even after few applications and keeps your lip moist and smooth for a very long time!
I love how it's in a pencil form as I don't have to worry about washing my hands before applying. I also love how you could easily build up a colour with this lip balm. My friends who don't wear a lot of makeup love this as Chubby can achieve a natural "no-makeup look"! For me, this is even better! I have really dry cracked lips but I love giving a subtle accent on my lips. With chubby, I can easily build up a colour that I want without getting my lips dry. It's just perfect!
I have chunky cherry but I'm planning to get the watermelon one too! (forgot what it was exactly called .. but it's a light pink one!) Better own the whole selection!
Tips: You can create a pout look by applying more chubby on inner lips!
Love this as an easy to wear colour that can be lightly applied for daytime or with a bit of lip prepping can be bolded up for evening wear. It's lovely and doesn't dry my lips. I have the gorgeous hibiscus (a coral or orange colour depending on your lip colour) which I wore on a winter escape to the sun, and I'm looking forward to wearing here this summer. I do need a mirror to apply but it's easy in a stick and quick to locate in my makeup bag due to the stick colour (don't need to pick up and check 20 black lipstick cases to find the colour I'm after). Does need re-applying but that's okay as it makes my lips look more lush than long lasting formulas.
Tips: Can easily be used as a day gloss and applied directly on lips or you can prep, prime and layer on lips to get a richer colour which lasts a bit longer.
I am a sucker for cute packaging and couldn't go past the chubby stick - I chose the romantic rose shade which is a blue based reddish pink. It acts like a lip stain on me and really goes the distance and I love the balm texture of it. Will definitely try more shades in the future
Tips: Keep lips well hydrated, while the texture is a balm, I have found this a little drying - but I am happy to tolerate a little dryness for the colour!
I'm a huge fan of lip products that come in the shape of a pencil/crayon. I love that there is more product, and the fact that the consistency is thicker and easier to use.
This one, is by far my favourite type of crayon/pencil lip product! Pricey, yes, but soooo worth it. What I notice with most crayon lipsticks are that they are super drying, and don't have the same creamy consistency that lipsticks do, and as such crack my lips, but I LOVE this one as it is so different, and that's what really made me adore this product!
Starting with the packaging, it is a matte pencil with silver plastic ends which gives it a very luxurious look, totally matches the price tag. The lid/cap comes off easily, but when pressed back on, completely seals, so you don't have to worry about it flying off and ruining your handbag. I have had a couple of these for a very long time, and assumed that over time they would wear and tear and the lids would become loose, but so far that is yet to happen. A+ on the durability.
As soon as you grab it to put it on, it glides, GLIDEs, like skates on ice. No pulling across your lips. It is super super rich, and very moisturising. It's non runny, and not greasy at all, and has a matte finish. It's also non-sticky, and almost feels like a lip tint as you dont even notice or feel it on the lips.
Yes, it is very very moisturising, a promise that Clinique has kept well. Throughout the whole day while this is on, I never have to apply any lip balm too soothe out the dryness like I would with any other lip product! It's like a complete two in one!
It lasts a good 3-5 hours without a second application, although there is little colour fade after eating and drinking which is very normal to lipsticks.
I also love the range they come in, I've picked up about 5 of these as blind buys and love every single shade. They all suit my skin tone perfectly! I also love that they are blue based and can make your teeth look whiter, which is a super bonus! It is also very colour builadble.
I am so in love with these, and I prefer them over lipstick any day.
I actually love this little lippy. I love that they're called Chubby sticks and I love the colour result. I apply this when in a rush and it never bleeds further than my lips. It is not the most resistant to cups of tea but I find after a a few applications in a day my lips get a pink stain to them by which point I find I no longer need to apply. Great little lippy to keep in ya bag.
I really love Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms - at the moment they're my favourite product for my lips! They are super-moisturising. The colour is buildable by applying more layers. The pencils don't need sharpening (luckily - because I don't have a giant sharpener), you just twist the end when you want to 'sharpen' it! The colour on the outside of the Chubby Stick matches each individual shade so it's incredibly easy to tell which colour you are choosing when fumbling through an over-stuffed makeup bag. They feel lovely to apply (glide on like silk) and keep my lips feeling amazing and comfortable all day with absolutely no stickiness. The colour, as well as the moisture, both stay put for ages - longer than most others. The colour does fade a little bit after having a cup of tea or coffee, which is to be expected, but the basic stain remains and still looks gorgeous, so it isn't an issue at all - you're not left with a ring of colour around the outside of your lips as you are with most lip colours. My lips have a tendency to dry out so I'm always on the lookout for moisturising lip colours, so I was exceptionally happy when I came across this. I love that I am able to get a precise lipline using Chubby Sticks and there is absolutely no chance of smudges, smears or colour bleeds. The colours are really flattering. I just wish there were more colours available - I'd buy them all! Even though these aren't a budget price they are well and truly worth every cent! I've got two similar but amazing pink shades at the moment but I plan to get more colours (red will be next). The ones I have are #05 Plushest Punch, which gives a gorgeous, flattering pink stain and I also have #06 Roomiest Rose, which is slightly darker. Both suit my cool-toned colouring brilliantly!
I have a pinky and reddy tone of this product, they both are a medium tint on my lips. On me they have softened my lips whilst using, non bleed and non flaking. The product it self is large and reminds me of a jumbo crayon, a little goes a long way so this is a product that will last ages. I paid $10 for each of mine new off facebook.
These are more pigmented and matte in texture than the original formula - this also makes them longer wearing. The only downfall for me is the shade selection - the only wearable/closest to neutral shade for my complexion was 'curviest caramel' a deep peachy/coral based nude which is to be honest not that flattering for me at all. I love the formula of these but wish there were more shades, infact these are most similar to the ones Clinique released in the early 00's which were wooden pencils - I still prefer the original formula (the first edition of these wind up pencils) over these which were more balm like and shiny in texture but really like the matte long-wear of the intense formula - just wish there were more neutral/nude shades available.
