I bought this for I think NZD$29 and was super excited to try it out. Packaging is adorable and looks great in my collection however that's as much as it's good for. The colour is definitely opaque so I can't fault that but found that it bleeds quite a bit and doesn't last as long as I thought it would. I get that it is a glossy formula but this was beyond usable for extended periods. And with is being such an opaque and vibrant colour you could easily see where it had smudged. Disappointed but still cute though lol

Tips: Not for you if you like long-wearing lip colours (at least not this shade)
I love the lippy i got given from my friend. She purchased it and gave it to me as she didn't like the colour on her. It is the first or 2nd shade in the top row of this picture. I love the density and pastel colouring.
Tips: I often like to mix it with a gloss or a more subtle colour if i am not wanting such an out there bright look.
I was drawn to this lipstick because of the super cute packaging. I bought the shade 'Poisonberry' thinking it would show up as a dark purple like in the tube. Unfortunately the coverage isn't as opaque as I'd hoped and gave more of a magenta shade.
It lasted about 2-3 hours (without eating) which wasn't the best I've ever had but I was okay with re-applying since it gave me a chance to pull out the gorgeous tube. It smells very similar to that of a MAC lipstick (sweet vanilla). The formula is super creamy and keeps my lips hydrated, although I do wear it with the fear that it will just melt off.
I will not be re-purchasing this particular product due to the fact that there are so many better alternatives that give better colour pay-off. Not to mention the controversy that surrounds the company.
I own "My beautiful rocket." You only need to apply this product once for a colourful lip that lasts for 5-6 hours. The formula is quite dry and this may be what makes it quite long lasting. There isn't really a fragrance which makes it very natural. The product is vegan so it is friendly to the animals.
Tips: Apply a good lip balm prior to use. Wipe off lipbalm before applying the lipstick or it could be too creamy and not as long lasting.
I had some friends that were really into Lime Crime - but I could never justify the price to myself for something I just wasn't sure on. When they came on sale in Boxing Day sales I thought, maybe this is my time to try. So I grabbed Centrifuschia, I didn't end up keeping it long - and then a friend overseas surprised me with another one. I thought I had better really try, since she had gone out of her way to get it. The purple and silver tube with a unicorn on it is undeniably cute. But it is one of the only things I like - the other being the scent (a nice sweet vanilla smell)
To me the lipstick is nice and creamy - but it is hard to keep in the right place and makes a disaster of a mess. Centrifuschia really isn't my colour, it can look amazing on some people - but for me it makes my teeth look awful and I feel like a kid that got into my Mum's bright lipstick. When I finally got it right it didn't last very long on, and it stains my lips quite a bit.
Due to the ethics of the creator and the less than impressive performance compared to many of my other lipsticks, I don't think I would purchase again.
I have 3 of these: Geradium, croquette and centrefushia. Honestly, I dont know what to do with them. The colours aren't what was advertised and I just dont like the way they sit in my lips.
I feel al most scared to write this review as so many people love these lipsticks so much then there is me who doesn't like them. Lets start with the packaging, it has to be one of the most out there of any lipsticks i have seen, some people might find it kind of child like but it is actually beautiful in real life and looked amazing in my lipstick stand! I first brought babette as it is one of the more wearable colours and is very popular, it is a peachy pink very pretty colour! i really wanted to love this lipstick colour but no matter what it gave me a horrible lipstick line around my mouth and was quite drying so i ended up selling babette and thought id pick another colour because they were so raved about and maybe i just didn't like the colour all that much. So the next colour i got was coquette it is some what similar to babette but more on the nude side, again it did the same as babette left my lips dry and the horrible lipstick line. I am really sad that i didn't like both of them and that they didn't sit on my lips good. I wont be trying any other colours as some of them are just to out there for me. I paid 18 USD for both of mine so for a lipstick they weren't that bad of a price. I sold both and got my money back! I would still recommend these lipsticks to a friend as they might love them as they are very raved about lipsticks!
After so much talk about Lime Crime and how great the lipsticks are I wanted to try for myself. I'm not a huge wearer of bright coloured lipsticks because I feel like my thin lips don't suit them so I brought "babette" because it was one of the more subtle coloured ones.
The lipstick bullet itself is so pretty and one that I have never had even remotely similar to this one. The pastel purple coloured bullet has silver unicorns and stars over it with the lime crime logo printed on it as well
The lipstick itself looks peachy pink before I apply i freshly scrub my lips then apply some lip balm. I had read about people finding it drying so I thought it was probably in my best interests to apply lip balm I also think this helps a lot with matte lipsticks so they don't sink and have that cracked look.
When I apply it it goes on smoothly It's really full coverage I think I put on 2 coats the colour on my lips is like a nude peach I felt like it stuck nicely to my lips it smells yum too. Like cocoa butter? I did have a coffee and noticed the lip marks on the cup but not to worry my lips still looked the same. I was 3 hours before I reapplied I thought this was pretty good going and when I reapplied it the colour had faded but it hadn't gone all patchy. I really like this for something different
Lime crime has to be the most funky vibrant packaged product you can get, i thought the colors are very unique, I'm a huge fan of pinks and funky colors so when my first package arrived with Babette,Croquette & Geradium i was overly exited as i stated the packaging was so cool made me feel like a kid again, After a few wears i found that the colours weren't as moisturizing as i would have liked and found myself reapplying a lot, but basically the color was so to dye for you just sucked it up :) awesome pigments and semi good prices!
Tips: Don't by them of places like trade me there are too many copy ones out there! there are videos on you tube etc showing how to tell if you get a fake :)
I have D'Lilac and Great Pink Planet and I love both of these colours, they are both highly pigmented, apply well and are long lasting. They are very opaque in their appearance. They are so bold and really make a statement and are some of the most wearable colours of that range. The packaging is fun and exciting. I love these lipsticks and am keen to get some more to add to my collection!
Tips: Exfoliate, and hydrate your lips, and apply lip liner beforehand to get the most out this product. Will last hours upon hours if you do so.
