I picked up the Australis Velourlips as a mini 5 pack from Farmers for $19.99. If you're really interested in trying this range then I suggest you also buy one of the mini packs. The pack I purchased contained 5 pinky nude shades including Mil-A-No, Hon-O-Loo-Loo, Ho-Chee-Min, Los-Angel-es, and Lun-Dun.
The packaging of these are super cute and the scent is amazing. They smell super sweet, kind of like grape bubblegum. All the colours I receieved suited me really well, aside from the shade Mil-A-No which made me look like I had concealer all over my lips. Unfortunately those points are about the only things I like about this product.
I have found that the light coloured shades apply really patchy. The darker ones seem to be less patchy, but they are still no where near perfect. Regardless of whether I apply a thin amount or a thick amount, nothing seems to stop this product from looking patchy and streaky on my lips.
This product feels really gloopy and thick on my lips. It slides on easy enough, but once it starts to dry it gets really crumbly and flaky. None of the shades seemed to dry completely matte for me. When I took a drink from a glass, the product completed transferred to the glass leaving my lips bare! My lips didn't feel super dry after using them, but maybe that's because they never lasted on my lips for more than an hour.
I really hoped that I would like the Australis Velourlips because the colour range is great and they are super affordable. But I'm sad to say that this product just isn't for me. I can't wear the shades I own, so I'll probably give them to a friend.
I brought this as a trial and loved it. It wears pretty good through the day. Usually I need to reapply after eating but that's fine. It lasts longer than as NY other lipstick I had and I loved the colors
