I loved this. I bought my first one in the colour Ma-li-boo from Farmers after a recommendation from a lady passing through work wearing it. The cream is so creamy and pigmented. I find it glides on very easily. It dries really quickly so you have to be quick when applying it especially if you want to add a second coat on. If it dries before you do this it can be tricky to do it without it looking a bit rough. It's quite easy to fix a mistake especially if you get it while it is wet. It dries really matte and I love that it is non transferable when it dries because I love giving my little girl kisses without turning her whole face pink or red. As the day goes on it can wear off in little flakes which can be a pain. I found that rather than trying to reapply on top it's easier to wipe the layer off and reapply so it doesn't look flaky and rough. One other thing I found was that it can dry your lips out a little so make sure you have a lip balm handy for afterwards! Ending on a good note though :Everytime I have worn this I have been given compliments or asked what I am wearing! I absolutely adore these and would definitely repurchase!

What is it?
Highly pigmented lips are the look of the moment, and this lip cream takes it to the next level with its beautiful matte finish! The creamy long-wear formula glides on easily with its doe foot applicator, finishing to a velvety matte look with intense, full coverage colour payoff. Perfect for when you want lasting, matte colour that moves with your lips without flaking.
Time for a change from gloss! It applies creamy, lasts all day and finishes with a soft suede look.A matte lip cream that moves with your lips so you don’t have to worry about caking and flaking.

Tips: Use Lush Lip Scrub before applying to get rid of any loose skin on your lips to get a smoother finish.
I have the Australis Velour Lips matte cream in Mal-I-Boo (Pink) and I love the colour and the fact that it is non transferable once dry, but at the same time I find it quite hard to maintain if I am going out for longer than a few hours. This matte lipstick feels like you are literally painting your lips,it sticks to your lips very well once applied. The doe applicator makes application easy and I find that it creates a precise look without needing lip liner. When I first tried this product I made sure to scrub my lips with a lip scrub, and then use a moisturiser. I did this to ensure that the lipstick glided on as smoothly as possible, and to get rid of any visible flaking or dryness in my lips. The lipstick dried quickly and was very creamy and smooth at first, but as the day wore on I noticed my lips beginning to flake and become dry again. I cheated and used a lip balm over top to re-create a smooth consistency! This worked well, but the lipstick took longer to dry on my lips because of the lip balm. I would recommend this little trick if you are out and about and are unable to re apply the lipstick. Overall, I really love the colour of this lipstick, the price, and the fact that it is non transferable once dried (unless you eat or drink of course). It is not a product that I would use all the time, as it did dry my lips out a bit, and having to reapply was too much of a hassle for my busy schedule! I think I may try the lime crime velvetines next.
Tips: If your lipstick is causing your lips to become flaky/dry and you don't have time to re apply, apply a small amount of lip balm over top to keep lips smooth.
If your not wanting to pay top dollar for a lipstick that is going to give you a look like a lime crime velvetine then this is your lipstick.
Very pigmented and beautiful bold and bright colours. Long lasting if your not drinking or eating all day i find it comes of when you eat or drink which is pretty standard but when you go to reapply i find you need to take the last layer of completely before adding more as it goes patchy or cracks
Tips: to minimize dry lips use a primer before hand or a light lip balm enjoy xx
I gotta say, love these things! I own the purple "To-Ki-O" and the pink "Mal-I-Boo" and they're bloody amazing. The pink doesnt suit me too well, and the purple is attention grabbing when wearing it out in public, but it's a lot of fun. I want to try the red and nudes. I do find these to be very drying, and after a while they tend to flake on my lips which i dont like. also, I cant get them off. Like ever. Which is good when it comes to longevity, but when they're flaking and I'm out doing errands and I just want them off, it just doesnt work. Maybe I will like the nude and the red better than the ones i have, but we shall see.
The Australis velour lips are absolutely incredible! The colour range is a bit "out there" you could say but I absolutely love them. My favourite shades are definitely the nude shade in "Par-ee" and the bright orange shade in "Rio-D" but I adore all the shades, one small downside i found is that they don't layer very well, they sorted clump up and go sticky but this doesn't bother me because the pigmentation of these lip cremes has no need for a second layer. I find that you don't need a lip liner or anything with these, they are amazing and don't bleed. I do find that sometimes they sink into the lines in my lips and enhance dry patches but pair them with something like the bubblegum lip scrub by Lush and a hydrating lip balm and they're absolutely amazing. They have amazing lasting power and personally have lasted in me for over 12 hours which is sometimes hard to find, if I could say anything it would be more shades!!! I've got them all and I would love more! I really can not get enough of these!
Tips: I would recommend exfoliating your lips before using these and using a hydrating lip balm/ Chapstick to enhance the look of these matte lip creams but I really have nothing bad to say about these! I love em'
After using these products for a long time, I have to say the Velourlips are absolutely amazing! I have collected all the colours in the collection so far, with my favourite being the purple shade 'Tok-I-O'. The Nude 'Par-ee' is amazing also and is the perfect shade for the trend of "Kylie Jenner" inspired lips too. The other three colours, N-Y-Cee (Red), Rio D (Orange) and Mal-I-Boo (Pink) are exceptional and last all day as the products states it does. Touch ups are needed if you're eating an intense meal ut beside that there are no flaws! I've noticed that the purple and nude are the two which stay of the longest through the day and have the longest lasting power through eating and drinking too. Enjoy!
Tips: Ex-foliate your lips first, I recommend using a lip scrub, the Mint Julips or Bubblegum one from Lush for around $12 is great to use and follow up with lip balm (EOS is great) too before putting your face make up and lips on as by that time the lip balm would have moisturised your lips but if any residue is on then wipe away as the matte lip cream wont go on smoothly.
I recently purchased my Velour Lips in the nude 'Pa-ree' shade and I'm so impressed. It glides on and dries matte, doesn't require a lip liner, and stays on for hours. I actually prefer my ValourLips to my Lime Crime Velvetines as it doesn't cake up and get crusty like I find the Velvetines do.
I adore the nude shade, I even wear it more often than my MAC Creme d'Nude and Velvet Teddy. I will definitely be purchasing more shades and then writing another review.
The only downside is I find the nude shade to be the most wearable, the other shades are a bright pink, orange, purple and red, probably best only be worn as a statement lip with neutral eyes.
Tips: Apply with a steady hand onto moisturised lips, not in the car on the way to work or you'll look like a clown.
I purchased Tok-i-o (purple colour) for my 30th birthday and it stayed on ALL NIGHT! I was so surprised at it's staying power and it didn't kiss off!! The finish was opaque and matte - my mind was blown! It was the first matte lip cream I had tried and I have since tried many other brands. These do feel drying on the lips but the colour payoff and long lasting-ness makes up up for it. I just make sure I use a really moisturizing lipbalm the next day. Overall a magical product, I would buy again.
Tips: Be careful when applying - it dries fast - I found cleaning up the lip line with a concealer brush very handy.
I always went past the Australis counter at my local Chemist and Department Store but someone told me to try the Velourlips Matte Creams and now I'm in love!! I own 2 Matte Creams: Pa-ree (Nude) and Ma-li-boo (Hot pink) and both are so beautiful, pigmented and smell amazing! Pa-ree is a great dupe for the lip colour that Kylie Jenner wears and Ma-li-boo is so bright and lights up your face. Highly recommend Australis and the Matte Creams!
I'm a big fan of matte lips, and I was really excited when I heard that Australis would be jumping on the matte lip cream bandwagon. I own MA-LI-BOO (pink) and RIO-D (coral). Firstly, I find the smell completely overpowering - it has a very sweet, fruit candy-like smell. It dissipates eventually after applying, but is very strong at first. I find application to be tricky too, it's hard to get the color perfectly even for these two shades. The first layer of color tends to get picked up and made patchy, no matter what I do. I find that the formula is very thick and difficult to work with. I found that they tended to look flakey and crusty on my lips very quickly - probably a result of applying to much trying to cover up the patchiness. I love how bright and unique the colors are, but I am not sure if I love the formula. I will try the other shades in the collection and see if they will change my mind.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips beforehand, and have a thin layer of lip balm on your lips before applying to reduce dryness.
