Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Review

This is one of my favourite luxury lipsticks out there! I love how this lipstick is so moisturising on my lips. I also love how this lipstick is sheer and when applied on the lips, it looks very natural! It is amazing how you can use this product both as a lipstick and as a lip balm! Definitely worth your money I should say!

I got this in the shade Renouveau which is a gorgeous natural peachy shade. To be honest I didn't really need another peach lipstick but the packaging and the raving reviews convinced me to splash out and treat myself to one of these.

The packaging is perfect, not much more needs to be said. Chanel always well on their packaging and this is no exception. The product inside is in a simple cylinder shape rather than the usual bullet shape. I thought this might make it harder to apply precisely but this is light enough that you don't have to be perfectly precise anyway.

Application is ultra smooth and feels hydrating. It doesn't sink in my 'lip wrinkles' and leaves a semi sheer, glossy finish. It's easily buildable and feels kind of like YSL's tint in balm or their rouge volupte shine. Lasting power isn't amazing but that's what I'd expect from a balmy, glossy lipstick anyway so I don't really mind.

Now this is Red. And a perfect true red. Which I prefer to wear. This lipstick is creamy & leaves a nice mat finish.2 coats blotted properly will stay on most of the day. If you want a shine just add gloss. I did find it was a bit drying but happy to sacrifice that for the staying power!

Recently brought this on strawberrynet to wear on my wedding day - I was not disappointed.

I went for 'Magnolia' which is a nudey/pinky/peach tone.

Packaging = Q U A L I T Y. It makes a clicking noise once you push the lid back on, which is my favourite part. It has the Chanel logo on the top. The packaging screams quality, elegance, high end. Love!

What's great about this product is that under different lights, the colour changes. So in natural light, it was more bright pinky shade. Under artificial light it was more of a peachy/coral colour. No idea how - it just does.

Applying it is a breeze! Glides like a silky dream. I didn't need a gloss over top as it gave off this incredible sheen which I loved.

The only one thing negative I will say is that it doesn't last very long. I would keep reapplying every couple hours or so. But I don't mind that so much, because the results are worth it.

After much deliberation over colour I finally settled on 'Boy'. So on a recent trip when I was in duty free I picked this up. It feels so luxurious right from the packaging. The colour is great and fantastic for everyday. A very subtle everyday pink nude. I picked this colour as I wanted something I could wear everyday. I keep this at work because if I forget lipstick this is a lovely colour that goes with anything. It is very creamy and lovely to apply. Doesn't dry out the lips at all. The only problem with this is you need to reapply this quite often as with most creamy formulas it does fade quite often.
