I love Lush products and have bought a few of their lip tints, but never end up using them much. The tin is quite small so the product just ends up under my nails. The tint is a pretty colour but doesn't last long. I love the fragrance though!

First I want to start by saying how much I hate lip balms that are in little pots like this where you have to use your fingers! It's a gross, inconvenient sticky mess, that I'm always a baby about!
It's a beautiful fire engine red colour, and the pot is really really small - especially for the price (yes ladies, don't be fooled, it is way overpriced) So to get all the product out, not only does it all go under my nails, but it leaves my finger with red lip balm all over it and I don't always have wet wipes with me!
It's a really nice colour, that I think will suit almost everyone, and it smells so delicious and very strong! People always ask me what perfume I'm wearing even though it's just this.
A little of this goes a long way, so I guess I understand the small pottle as you don't need much. But i was rather disappointed with the application. It is difficult to spread across your lips evenly, barely pigmented, and really really drying! I find that I need to apply a balm afterwards!
A definite mess, sorry Lush!
This product is good but it doesnt last as long as id like and it then im left with patchy bits. it would be awesome if it came with a brush so it doesnt get under your nail, or stain your finger. it also makes my lips a little dry.
Tips: i use it as a base under my red lipstick, it lasts alot longer
I purchased a wee tin of this during Lush's Boxing Day sale for half the usual price. I probably should have read the reviews here first, but I loved the look of the packaging, and I loved the name, and I loved the idea of a crimson red tint.
Alas I did not love this at all.
Actually, to be fair, I still like the little tin, it's cute. But cute doesn't cut it when the tint is not mint.
On opening the tint I fell in love with the colour, so pretty, so red! But strangely enough on me it applied as being super pink, and not in a flattering way. More in a scary clown 'run for your life' way. I tried to apply less, but then it didn't really cover my lips properly and looked patchy, so it was a bit of a lose/lose situation.
Compounding matters was the scent... I expected it to be quite sweet and appley, but all I got was spice and I didn't enjoy that aroma on my lips or lingering up towards my nasal cavity.
I tried applying this tint a few times, but each time I ended up wiping it off and popping on a bit of lippy. I've since lost it (and I only got it at the beginning of January). I've no idea where it's gone, and I'm really not bothered that it's disappeared either. I think it's safe to say this falls into my 'not a favourite' category.
I got this at Xmas in one of their sales and was really excited because I also purchased the Santa Lip Scrub and loved it so thought this would be awesome.
Unfortunately, this wasn't for me. I'm not a huge red lip kind of gal as I don't think I suit it but with this being a tint I thought it would be only a hint of colour. There is a hint of a colour but not overly strong, to me it comes out more orange than red.
I have super dry lips too and and I found this extremely drying and no moisture at all. I also didn't think it smelt or tasted of apples and cinnamon.
Unfortunately if you have dry lips and you don't like orange tints on your lips then this may not be for you. Such a shame as I love most Lush products.
I only used this a couple of times before giving up. The consistency is weird, it's very waxy and unpleasant. It's difficult to apply, I tried with a brush and with my fingers and neither worked. it does give a bit of a tint but its not the 'enticing crimson red' it promises - it looks more like worn off lipstick. Would not purchase again.
Was so excited to try this as there was so much hype around it but was so disappointed. I couldn't stand the texture, it was waxy and kind of soft gritty? It's really hard to explain but it's just weird ! It wears off quick and apples as a washed out lipstick colour
Tips: Do not buy this product
I got given it as a present, and got very excited (as you should with Lush products). The color really is long lasting, so it does it's job well. Unlike other reviews I've seen on here I did not at all mind the texture. However, while the color looks quite reddish in the container when applied it ended up being much more pink. So alas, it does get used but not very often.
UPDATE: Have now tried applying with a brush and now use it so much more often! The pink is much more wearable when spread thinner, though does wear off easier. Love the shade now!!!
Tips: Updated: How much a difference using a brush makes!!! Use a small brush to apply and the colour is less lavish, more suitable for everyday wear (while still going pop!). Do need to work the brush around in the tint first
Only good in small amounts, if you put to much on it doesn't give a smooth consistency. I use this in the morning when I know i'll be in a rush or as a top up over my red lipstick during the day
Tips: Use finger and let the mixture melt on the lip. Good for small amounts of time.
I bought this after being told it would be moisturizing. If anything I found it drying. I did like the hint of color it gave but applying with your fingers feels a little messy when it is colored. I will be sticking with honey trap to keep my lips moisturized and more traditional lipsticks for when I want color.
