I bought this from glambot a online makeup site that sells authentic cosmetics as I had heard so much about this Mac product, glambot is abit cheaper than the $50 Mac wants in stores,I placed it on my clean face before my foundation,I let it sit for 20 min,I placed my foundation on and see no real difference in the way my foundation sits,or lasts on my face,I have given it 2 weeks, and I really would rather have a elf or Maybelline primer as with this Mac product I am still on the fence with it

When I recently did a MAC order they offered me a free sample and I chose this. Having not tried any of MACs primers, I wasn't too sure what to expect. Because it was free I wasn't too worried if I didn't like it.
This has no scent and is a thick white cream. Once you blend it into your skin you can see small reflects - not glitter but little sparkles. At first I was massively put off by this... Until I applied foundation over the top of it.
Once my foundation was on, this made my face look radiant and healthy. The shimmers aren't really apparent - they add more of a glow than a shimmer once you have foundation over the top of this. If you don't like a glow then I wouldn't recommend this. However, if you're like me and are all about Dewey skin then I recommend you try it.
Because the cream is thick it is really hydrating and feels soothing on my dry skin. This helps make my makeup last longer and, more importantly, go on smoother. It also helps reduce the redness in my skin a little bit.
Overall I really like this primer and will be purchasing a full size when I am in the States later this year. A little goes a really long way so even though it's pricey, I think it's worth it.
I thought all primers were the same until I tried this one and OMGOSH the results were amazing. Most primers feel greasy but not this one it just sits nicely. My makeup looks amazing after using this it gives me a nice smooth surface even with impurities and help my makeup last for as long as possible. Only downfall is the price and because I use this under every makeup application so It doesn't last long and for the price you would expect it to. But if you feel like a treat try this. As they say you wont know until you try.
This is an amazing primer. It is pricy but it is worth every penny. Mine lasted me about a year so it's actually pretty good value for money. It allows your foundation to glide on so smoothly and makes it last so much longer. One of my favourite MAC products and definitely a must-have for me.
when i first put this on my skin my face looked like a disco ball, it was very shimmery and i was scared it would stay like that but no! after putting my foundation and powder on i had a lovely healthy glow to my skin! it feels so hydrating and makes my foundation easy to apply and not patchy. if you have oily skin, only use a wee bit on targeted areas like your cheekbones for a under highlight as it could make your skin look super oily.
I am a MAC fanatic, and therefore seemed fitting that I purchase a MAC primer when my previous one ran out. The product is in a neat black container and looks simple and effective. It has a lot of product in it, and has so far lasted me 6 months. When applied the primer goes on smoothly, it is a thicker texture then I have used in the past, but I feel like this helps with the hit of hydration that it gives. I soaks in quickly and sits well, leaving my skin velvety and shimmery. Im not sure how effective it is for helping my makeup last, but I think it lays a great base for my foundation to be applied!
Works wonders on dry skin and has a stunning shimmer that adds such a beautiful effect on a full face of makeup! Wish it was cheaper lol
This was the very first primer I ever bought because it was recommended by the MAC MUA who was looking after me and so naturally I thought it was awesome back then. After purchasing it for a second time (and having a bit more knowledge about face paint) this is not the best primer for my oily skin.
It comes in an opaque black plastic bottle with pump which I hate because I find it frustrating that I can't tell how much product I have left. The product has a thick consistency but a velvety feel once blended into the skin which I feel is typical of primers that are silicone based.
I use to 2 pumps for my face and under good lighting you can see the reflects - not to be confused with glitter or sparkles. I don't mind a bit of reflects in my primer as long as my face is not a substitute to light the path at night. It feels light weight and leaves me with a smooth canvas to apply my foundation - either liquid or powder - doesn't matter both types go on beautifully and they don't have to be MAC products.
I don't notice any difference in the primer making my make up last longer but that doesn't really bother me because the primer alone provided me with the kind of canvas I wanted to achieve a flawless finish (or as close to flawless as one can get).
The only reason I won't be repurchasing this is because it doesn't do much for oil control. Even though the product is non-greasy it really doesn't help to keep the shine at bay. I'm not overly oily (I don't think) so I do expect this product to give me a slight improvement. Those with dry to combination skin would really benefit from this.
Tips: I dispense 1 pump on the back of my hand, then dot my face and massage it in. Then I repeat the same with one last pump.
I absolutely love this primer! This is amazing if you have oily to combination skin. Keeps me matte all day and stay's put.
Tips: Use your fingers to apply the primer. Found my foundation had a more flat and even coverage than if I was to use a brush.
Smooths skin amazingly, allowing for foundation to glide on over the primed skin effortlessly. Small glitter specks in the primer make for a glowy foundation look. It is a little pricey for the amount so I tend to use it more on special occasions or nights out rather then everyday.
