This has to be one of my fav foundations. I only really use it when I go out really rather than every day as the coverage is really good and I don't need it daily. It is quite a thicker liquid than any other foundation I've used and so a little goes a long way. I use it sparingly and build it up if I want more coverage. I have tried this with a flat top kusbi brush and my beauty blender and using either gives great even and flawless results. I do have the one with SPF in it so this does give flash back in photos- but perfect for the harsh NZ sun. Overall its a great foundation and it is worth the money.

Tips: Definitely get skin colour matched at a MAC store and use a sponge applicator or flat top brush for an even application.
To put it simply, this is the best foundation I have ever tried and I am never going to use anything else Great coverage - a little pricey but it lasts for about 8 months
Tips: Use a foundation brush, and make sure you take the time to find the right colour
I was matched in store to nw22 and since my bf bought one back for me from america it seems too orange so i dont know if it oxidises on me or what. The smell kinda puts me off too. The coverage is full and does leave a flawless finish. Maybe if i got a lighter shade I'd be happier about this product
This foundation is perfect for covering skin imperfections - while using it I didn't need to use concealer as it was such full coverage. It can feel quite thick and cakey at times, or this could be because I have such oily skin! Great and simple for undereye darkness and blemishes, though I wouldn't recommend for a lightweight, everyday foundation.
Tips: Apply thinly with either a Beauty Blender or a stippling brush.
This is my holy grail foundation - nothing I have tried beats it! I am in the colour NC15 (slightly lighter in winter) and I love this foundation to bits!! I have been using it for about a year and a half now and I find that with a pump a bottle lasts me about 6-9months, which isn't too bad for full coverage wear most times I wear makeup.
When you first try this foundation the scent can put you off - but you get use to it as you wear it more and more. I love this foundation as it gives me full coverage but it doesn't look cakey!
I love this paired with MAC Mineralize Skin Finish powder over top - I find this foundation gives a nice dewy finish. If you add a dewy primer and setting spray it looks AMAZING!
I always find it do hard to find foundations that match me and this is perfect!
Tips: Application with a wet beauty blender is my current fave, also love using it with a flat top kabuki brush.
Love thus foundation, it has really great staying power and like all MAC products has a great colour range. I have oily skin and I found that this foundation with a little bit of powder looked really nice and lasted all day
Fantastic foundation. The colour NC40 is perfect for my skin tone (a first for my yellowish olive skin in this awfully limited- mostly eurocentric cosmetic market). Asides from that, the texture is smooth and hydrating upon application, blends very easily whether using a brush or fingers, and stays on ALL day! These features represent the perfect foundation for anyone with a combination/dry skin type, that wants a natural, dewy finish to their make up with -easy to build- coverage. My only wish is that it came with a pump for easier dispensing.
Isn't overally cakey which is awesome! Nice and light and liquidy which makes it easy to apply. Looks great and has good coverage. You need to apply concealer over any problem areas as it doesn't really cover them too well.
Tips: apply concealer over any problem areas and use a brush to apply
I have used this foundation paired with the Studio Fix powder for the past 2 years or so now and would never use anything else again. It is reasonably priced for a quality product with good coverage and wears well throughout the day. Their range of colours are great and find myself changing between them as my skin changes between seasons.
I love the consistency and staying power of this product but after years of having it in my collection and trying various shades over the seasons (all picked out for me by MAC MUA's) I am yet to find one that really works for me. The closest I have gotten is NW20 which needs to be toned down quite a lot with pressed powder. I do love that this product is so buildable but probably won't repurchase as I have found other foundations which match my skin tone better.
