This is definitely one of the best foundations I have owned! I am able to wear it on a day to day basis, with just one layer giving my skin a nice medium coverage, but what I also love is that it is so build-able and I am able to make it to a high coverage if I am going out! I would definitely recommend MAC studio fix for people who like a more 'natural' matte finish! Although abit on the more expensive side here in NZ, one bottle has lasted my nearly a year with still about half left! love love love xox

Tips: Get a more perfect finish if you buff it out with a flat top kabuki brush and then go over it with a damp beauty blender! also make sure to use a primer :*
I suffer from really dry skin on my face and body and in the past my dry skin was really visible when I put on foundation. It was a real confidence knocker. Also, I tried so many foundation colours but they never seemed to match my skin tone. I had almost given up until I tried the MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15. It was the perfect match for my skin tone. Even friends commented on how perfect my skin looked.
Everything about this foundation oozes innovation and modern sophistication from the simple minimalist design of the glass bottle to the pump with the lock feature that prevents your foundation from spilling all over the lining of your handbag.
While the cost is a little on the pricey side, a little really goes a long way. I brought my bottle in October last year and the bottle is almost at the end of it's life 10 months later. Or if you know someone that is going to the States, ask them to grab you a bottle as Mac products are usually 30-40% cheaper than in NZ.
The product itself feels light on my skin like i'm wearing nothing at all, yet leaves my skin looking airbrushed afterwards. I recommend teaming it with a bronzing powder (I use Mac Bronzing Powder) for a sunkissed look.
Pros: Perfect skin match, light on the skin, a little goes a long way, pump lock to prevent foundation spilling into your handbag.
Cons: Pricey.
Overall: I need MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 in my life.
Tips: if you know someone that is going to the States, ask them to grab you a bottle as Mac products are usually 30-40% cheaper than in NZ.
After hearing A LOT of great reviews on the MAC Studio Fix Foundation I finally went out and purchased one - and I'm in love! This is a fantastic product which I will use again and again.
The packaging is typical of MAC - simple, classic and functional. The bottle is glass, and although it doesn't come with a pump you can purchase those separately to pop on top.
The formula itself is gorgeous - not too heavy or too thin. Very easy to build up, but even one layer of this product provides really great coverage! It matched my super pale skin perfectly (NC15), lasted well throughout the day, and gave the slightly dewy finish which I love. Would definitely recommend this fabulous foundation! :)
I use studio fix as my everyday foundation. It looks great on. A nice flawless finish and has good coverage which I need.
Tips: I use this and then studio fix powder on top.
I use MAC studio Fix Foundation Fluid when I am going out, personally I feel it is to thick for everyday foundation but I love it when I'm seeking full coverage.
POSITIVES: it is medium to full coverage, makes your face look smooth, has a huge range of shades making it easier for you colour match
NEGATIVES: oxidises within a few hours, made my skin break out really badly, even with primer and powder it starts to slide off within 4-5 hours, has a really strong smell to it.
I've used the foundation with numerous primers, moisturisers. i was told it was good for oily skin but i dont find that it is.
I found that Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation had a very intense smell and I find it is too cakey and unnatural looking for a day time foundation. Its a very good night time foundation as it does provide a full coverage that does stay on really well.
Tips: I found applying with a sponge much easier and gave a more even finish than a brush, the formula was too thick to blend with a brush.
i use this everyday. it has buildable coverage which is great. it has a nice finish so it doesnt have cakey look. it oxidises but for me the oxidation so well and just settles so well that i look like i dont even wear makeup, it is so flawless. But the thing about studio fix is that it doesnt last all day. i would say thats the only bad thing
Tips: wear with primer so it last longer.
I'm not an everyday makeup wearer, a bit of BB cream during the day (if I have time) but MAC studio fix is my go to if I have evening socialising to do, I find It to thick of every day daytime wear but a beautiful flawless finish and coverage for evening wear, I like that it oxidises and makes my skin look like it's naturally flawless
Tips: Use primer before and setting powder after for longer lasting wear
Finally a perfect foundation for my skin! I use NC15 regularly each day for a light-medium coverage. It is also buildable so is perfect for nights out or situations when you may need a bit more coverage. After trailing several brands of foundation it is great to find a foundation that matches my skin tone.
Tips: It is important to be aware of the NC and NW tone system they use to be able to fit the perfect match for your skin.
