MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 Review

I have played and experimented with so many foundations, like most of you. When i purchased this foundation when i got it with my ball makeup from Mac (last year) i haven't turned back!

Seriously i'm so happy with this product! The foundation matches me amazing, that was my first shock when looking into the mirror. Second it wasn't cakey on me or anything, it didn't feel cloggy either. It covered everything the way a foundation should! It goes on well and i don't need heaps. A bottle of this can last me around 6-8 months.

I'm extremely happy with this product and i would seriously recommend slurging out on this.

I love this foundation. It is the one I use the most. You only need to apply the smallest amount as it goes far. It is easy to apply, spreads easily (not thick ) and gives good coverage which lasts the day. It doesn't look like you are wearing lots of foundation, it has a natural look. One bottle lasts a long time and well worth the money.

This foundation is quite thick and heavy feeling on the face and the shades are just annoying! I feel NW shades are to pinky and NC shades are to yellow, so I would have to mix to get a tone right for me. It needed to be worn as a full coverage and with a primer applied otherwise it would go patchy! I also found it also broke me out….BIG negative.

The positives are that it can be built up to be a very full coverage, and there are many shades.

Although being colour matched a shade or two darker, this foundation just didn't make the cut :/ takes a while to fully set and also feels like it never blends in properly, kind of just sits on your skin. I felt that it was extremely noticeable that I was wearing foundation :/

I brought this foundation as MAC has a shade which matches my skin tone, which is quite hard to do. I liked the idea of it being matte and having build-able coverage. All this on top of the fact that it is a well known foundation made me buy it straight away.

I find the formula reasonably runny, but not enough for it to be a problem. I apply my foundation with a flat top kabuki and stipple or buff it in. I find I do one layer, then build on any places I feel I need more coverage. I always use a primer with this, as well as concealer and powder to set it (I do this with every foundation I use). It does have a good matte finish, but it can oxidise on my skin, which is not a problem as I find I always match my foundation still.

It covers any imperfections and I find that it does make my skin look more flawless. But I do have problematic pores which can sometimes show. This foundation lasts on my oily skin for about 5-6 hours before I need to powder (which is quite an accomplishment for a foundation on my skin). I find that with blotting about 2 times a day and powdering, this foundation can last for over 12 hours!

I definitely will be repurchasing this foundation again as I have fallen in love with it.

I have only just started using this and I love it. It gives me full coverage and lasts all day. I use NW20 and it perfectly matches my skin tone and makes me look flawless. They blend easily whether you use your fingers or a brush. A little goes a long way. This is my holy grail of foundation!

I really love these foundations. I love the consistency and I find them easy to blend, but there isn't a shade that matches my skin tone. The palest yellow based shade is far too dark for me, which is really disappointing, as I would love to make this my holy grail foundation.

I am a NW15 in this MAC foundation which I was matched to at the MAC Counter. This is one of my favourite foundations because it stays put for most of the day. I do set this with a translucent powder because I do have oily skin and I find this makes it last all day. This foundation comes in a glass bottle with a black lid. You can buy the pump from MAC which I find makes the product easier to get out. It has a thick consistency and a strong smell which goes when the make up dries. It is a pretty natural foundation which is good for everyday use I find that it doesn't cause me to get more pimples as long as I take it off at the end of the day.

I only recently tried this foundation & immediately fell in love with the results.

I have combination skin & was skeptical about using it as I've read mix reviews about applying to dry skin.

I'm one of these people that need quite a bit of coverage daily. I found this acted as a second skin when I first applied it. I needed a bit more coverage so I built it up a bit more & got the perfect canvas. In saying that, a little went a long way so I actually found I used less of this product than I would normally applying foundation.

It isn't a thick consistency (thick is what im used to) so I was surprised at the full coverage once I built it up. I loved the fact it looked natural on me & the colour matched my skin perfectly (Im an NC25)

This foundation has a really nice texture and finish and has a medium coverage, you can build it up to a full coverage. I like how mac has a huge range of colours. The only thing I don't like is that with all their foundations and concealers; the colours don't always match up. But I really like this foundation.
