I have used several bottles of this foundation over the years, however it's not really for me. The colour selection is great but the formula doest suit my skin type as my forehead gets quite oily by midday when I use it. I have combination skin.

Tips: Use powder or blotting powder on your oily prone areas after you have applied.
If you have a oily skin and scars on you're face, I would totally recommend this product, I have been using the macs studio fix foundation for the past 3 years, this product gives you full coverage & a clean look to it. I would recommend this product for coverage or scaring and oily based skin.
I used this for a couple of years. When I was younger I really liked a full coverage near matte look.. This Is a fantastic product if you like a very heavy coverage, but I feel like the colours just don't match for every skin type which was disappointing when you spend so much on one bottle. Im quite fair but definitely not the lightest shade and this was always very orange on my skin. I found this very drying on my skin, MAC products tend to upset my sensitive skin, make my eyes water and give me drying around the nose/soreness. I have since moved onto other products as although I do still very much like nice coverage to cover general imperfections this is just WAY too heavy and cakey. I have switched to Revlon photo ready in nude 200 and Max Factor CC cream in the lightest shade, I tend to mix them both together for the perfect colour for my skin. This MAC foundation would probably be a bit easier to wear with a few drops of Estee Lauder illuminating serum!
Tips: Use a primer.. Apply with foundation brush, and smooth out lines with hands. You will need to apply an additional powder over the top of this to set it but try avoid a matte powder as it will age your skin/look very OTT.
I love Mac, it is so easy to use and leaves you with flawless looking skin :) I use it for the first time after moving from innoxa and i will never look back!
Tips: Use with a foundation brush for even looking skin, rather than using a sponge.
this is a full coverage foundation and i love using it. it is easy to blend and they have a great colour selection! the only issue i have ever had with this foundation is when i have really dry skin on my face, it does cling to those areas.
I heard great things about this product and along with hearing that Mac cosmetics has a great range of quality products and decided I would try something new and purchase this product. The makeup artist put the foundation on my face, I wasn't 100% happy with it, it did look cakey on me but not full coverage. I purchased it anyway thinking it will grow on me and i'll find different ways to make it work. But nothing worked, this MAC Studio Fix foundation made me look cakey, didn't cover any of my blemishes. My skin didn't look smooth, it brought out my imperfections even more. I feel that this product is amazing on some people and makes their skin look flawless but with mine it didn't do anything but make it look worse.
Tips: If you have dry skin in some areas and also oily skin I recommend using a bb cream underneath or a primer (primers didn't work for me but for others it has). This foundation tends to cling to imperfections otherwise I think it would be a great foundation.
I am a long time beauty/makeup lover and am always on the hunt for the best foundation (as this is the base to to whole look you want to look as flawless as possible). I heard alot about MAC Studio fix so went in and got colour matched. When i first started using this i did think it was pretty good and did use for a good few months and even re purchased. it does cover well but i still found it did move around alot and i was still having to blot the excess oil through out the day. This isnt the best out there but is still pretty good. One downside to this is that is doesnt come with a pump but you can purchase from mac for $9.
Tips: Use a buffing type makeup brush or damp beauty blender for airbrushed application
I love Mac products, and this foundation is amazing! It goes on beauitful, easy to blend I think using a foundation brush works best as it gives a flawless finish. The only thing I would say is if you have oily skin it can get abit shiny and you will just need to blot it later if going out for the evening. Otherwise this product is fantastic.
Tips: Remember to always moisture before putting foundation on as it will give you an even better look and stop any foundation clinging to dry skin.
After over 10 years using a cake foundation, I was a bit daunted at the prospect of using a liquid foundation. Once I got the basics right though, I was away.
MAC Studio Fix was sold to me on the basis of being the best foundation on the market for my oily T-zone 'situation'. I've found that it hasn't helped with my oil problem (it hasn't changed), but it does stay a lot better than anything else I've tried through the day, so it gets my seal approval on that basis.
Tips: When using a liquid foundation, I recommend using a brush to ensure even coverage. Just make sure you wash your brush (using your normal face cleanser) regularly.
Had trouble finding the perfect coloured foundation, I have dark skin and there isnt very much out there on the market. This foundation blends to your skin colour giving a flawless finish and the best part is it stays in place all day! I've even been for a swim while wearing this foundation and it stays on, it also doesnt move when you sweat so its great for a night out.
Tips: Use primer before applying, it can be a bit hard to spread stright onto skin if you dont use a primer/moisturiser first.
