The first high end foundation I have tried and I absolutely LOVE it. I went to the MAC counter in Kirks and was colour matched by one of the loveliest ladies. Needless to say I brought it and have been loving it ever since. It really does what it says it does and is buildable if you want more coverage. I do need to set this with a powder if I am wanting full cover all day. I use the Mineralize skin finish natural and don't need to touch up at all.

Tips: Apply a small amount to start off with, as a little goes a long way. This foundation is buildable so can be done a few times if needed.
my first high end makeup i purchased 4 years ago and to this day cannot bring myself to change from Mac now! I prefer this formula to the other mac foundations. It gives an amazing dewy glow and is perfect coverage for me
Tips: What are you waiting for? go get it now!!
This is the best foundation by far!! It has such a full coverage it covers up all of my spots. I first started using this just for night time wear only and then I fell in love and its my all day everyday foundation. using this with the studio fix powder will leave your skin looking flawless.
Tips: Use this with studio fix powder and Mac pep n prime primer and it will look amazing :)
I love this foundation! It seriously does not budge off your face! Its a great full coverage foundation. The smell of it is a little weird- comparable to the Revlon color stay smell. I don't think i would ever pay full retail price for it however and always get mine from the mac online store in America as its waaaay cheaper. If i know i have a long day ahead of me and need my makeup to last all day or night i reach for this every time.
Tips: The only downside is you have to pay extra for a pump but this is worthwhile as its a very thick consistency formula.
This product really does live up to its hype. This is my go to foundation for nearly all occasions as with one layer everything is covered and it isnt as thick as I expected it to be. It is easily buildable and two layers gives a high coverage look. My favorite primer to use under neath this is the M.A.C Strobe creame as it lasts all day and has the most flawless finish. Definetly worth its price and i find that one bottle lasts me around a year, i have now repurchased this product for the second and will keep on repurchasing as i could not live with out it!
Tips: looks best when buffed out with a flat top brush or a makeup sponge.
I use MAC studio fix foundation daily now as I find no other foundation gives me good enough coverage like this does! I use NW20 (I'm quite fair and this seems to be the most common colour) however I could probably go down a colour but I like to have some colour in my face. I usually set with one of the powders too and that gives the best results
Tips: For best results use a MAC primer- I use the colour correcting CC primer and set with a MAC powder- I'm currently using the mineralize in a medium and its great!
I absolutely adore everything about this foundation! I find it a medium (but buildable coverage). I have moderately oily skin and I fefinitely love the matte finish the foundation gives me. I also find a little bit goes a very long way and a bottle lasts me a really long time! - I wish the bottle came with a pump, however that is a very small complaint. I like that is has a low SPF in it which helps to avoid flash back in photos which make you appear very pale. overall, yes the foundation can be pricey but it is well worth it!
Tips: If you find the product oxidising, check your moisturiser!! - I find this foundation works the best with an oil free moisturiser base!
This is the best foundation ever and I have tried and worn many brands. The finish is flawless although I do believe a good base to work on and the right application tools definitely help with this and help a little go further than finger or sponge application. Love that coverage can be built up or using the brush, quite sheer. Have sometimes sensitive skin that has never reacted to this product. Also nice when worn quite light in coverage with a touch of bronzer or MAC MSF natural to set.
Tips: use with MAC 188 SMALL DUO FIBRE FACE BRUSH for flawless application and getting a little foundation to go a long way (my fav fav multipurpose must have brush)
Finally a perfect foundation for my skin! I use NC15 regularly each day for a light-medium coverage. It is also buildable so is perfect for nights out or situations when you may need a bit more coverage. After trailing several brands of foundation it is great to find a foundation that matches my skin tone.
Tips: It is important to be aware of the NC and NW tone system they use to be able to fit the perfect match for your skin.
In summer, I wear NW15 however in winter I struggle to find foundations that are the exact right tone. NW13 is one of the only foundations I've found that suits my skin tone completely. This foundation is exactly as it is advertised, it is very full coverage and gives a true matte finish. Even with very oil skin, this will easily last a 12+ hour day, and then into the evening. You hardly need concealer with it as the coverage is that fabulous. It can sometimes feel a bit cakey, but only if you haven't blended it out properly. I use a flat-top Kabuki brush and it works great and looks flawless. I have acne scarring and blemishes on my skin and it covers it completely.
Tips: Pump the foundation onto the back of your hand and blow it so it sits flat, that way a flat-top brush can get an even coverage. It sets quickly on the face, so either start blending as soon as it is stippled on, or only apply it section by section. A silicone based primer works best in my experience. The Australis Primer works wonderfully with it.
