I am a long time beauty/makeup lover and am always on the hunt for the best foundation (as this is the base to to whole look you want to look as flawless as possible). I heard alot about MAC Studio fix so went in and got colour matched. When i first started using this i did think it was pretty good and did use for a good few months and even re purchased. it does cover well but i still found it did move around alot and i was still having to blot the excess oil through out the day. This isnt the best out there but is still pretty good. One downside to this is that is doesnt come with a pump but you can purchase from mac for $9.

Tips: Use a buffing type makeup brush or damp beauty blender for airbrushed application
I loved everything about this foundation until I woke up the next morning with a massive pimple, tried twice and the same thing happened both times, so it's obviously just not a good match for my skin. That aside, the foundation was great, went on well and had great coverage.
Tips: Try a sample first to check your skin is ok with it in the morning, or you'll end up wasting money on a jar that suits in your cupboard.
I went into MAC last year to see if I could get matched up and purchase a foundation so I could buy my shade online. However I got a new shade in this foundation ( c4.5) when I am an NC25 in the powders so it didn't help unfortunately! I couldn't match up colours..
However I find this foundation to be quite runny and also doesn't help my oily skin. I often found that it would smear off during the day. However it is very easy to blend, the bottle top isn't very user friendly though, I would buy a pump next time. For the price though I recommend looking at Revlon Foundations, as this didn't provide the coverage or look I was looking for
I love the consistency and staying power of this product but after years of having it in my collection and trying various shades over the seasons (all picked out for me by MAC MUA's) I am yet to find one that really works for me. The closest I have gotten is NW20 which needs to be toned down quite a lot with pressed powder. I do love that this product is so buildable but probably won't repurchase as I have found other foundations which match my skin tone better.
I've tried this a couple of times and don't really like it. Admittedly I do find it hard to find a foundation that matches the colour of my skin well and doesn't wear off. I found this foundation a bit thick but also wore off in patches throughout the day, even after a MAC artist applied it. It would be a good foundation to have if it was cheaper, however not for the price that it actually is. Friends who use this foundation rave about it so it's probably just my skin colour and type!
This is the best foundation I have ever used! I have tried others but none have compared with this one! The coverage is amazing. For daily use i only use the tiniest bit but the foundation is easy buildable so if you need more coverage you can just add more. Each bottle lasts about a year for me. I don't personally find not having a pump a bad thing. I simply just dab my foundation brush on the top of the bottle and I get the perfect amount.
Tips: it can become orange of you use to much
MAC product so it is very pricey, suprisingly I didn't understand why as this didn't really stand out for me. It was an average product for a very high price
This mac foundation is possibly one of the most raved about foundations ever so naturally i had to try it out.
At first, i thought it blended quite nicely into my skin using a flat top kabuki brush and was really good coverage (medium to full). However after around 5 hours of wear i noticed that the foundation had turned sort of orange and oxidised a bit; also it had gone patchy and clung to a few dry patches on my face. I would not recommend this foundation to anyone with dry skin. It would suit more oilier types as it has a matte finish.
Not one of the best foundations I've tried, but maybe its just my skin (combination/dry with an oily t zone).
I tried this foundation in NC15 which is normally great for me in MAC foundation however Studio fix was too dark at first and then oxidised even darker. Smell of foundation is a big factor for me and this one smells like paint. If you are going to have photos taken I would not recommend wearing this as it gives a flashback. This does provide great coverage and long wear though. I would consider using it again if the smell was toned down and MAC fixed the shades or perhaps brought out an NC10. I would recommend to a friend if they were able to find a shade that was correct.
Tips: I found this oxidised. If you're looking to purchase, wear for a couple of hours and assess if the colour is still right.
I have used several bottles of this foundation over the years, however it's not really for me. The colour selection is great but the formula doest suit my skin type as my forehead gets quite oily by midday when I use it. I have combination skin.
Tips: Use powder or blotting powder on your oily prone areas after you have applied.
