MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 Review

I went into a MAC store and got a small sample of this foundation and i just had to buy the whole bottle because I instantly fell in love!

Firstly the number one concern for me iwith foundation is color matching. I absolutely cannot stand having an off foundation tone. I have very yellow undertones and find it quiet hard to find anything yellow enough for me. In winter I was matched to nc30 which is gorgeous and a perfect match and in summer i go up to nc40. I love MAC's color system it makes it so much easier to match yourself accurately.

This foundation has a matte finish which is generally what i prefer as i have oily skin. Although it is very matte its still easy to create a more dewy look with this simply by using a illuminating primer/moisturizer underneath. The formula is a liquid which i like and its not too watery or too thick. Its very easy to apply and achieve a flawless finish with this product.

The foundation is in classic MAC packaging with a glass bottle and plain black lid. Its very sleek and simple which i really like. One downside is that it doesn't come with a pump. It makes it alot harder to get the product out and you can end up wasting a lot of it. Of course you can buy the pump from MAC which costs $14 i believe. I think its quiet cheeky and unfair for the company to sell them separately and make all that extra money. You'd expect a product of this quality and price range would come with a pump! But that doesnt deter me at all :)

The coverage is excellent its definitely full in my opinion but you can easily sheer it out to achieve a more natural looking medium coverage if that's what you prefer. I like full coverage for a flawless base and this is perfect for that. Even though this is kind of pricey you dont need much product to cover your whole face so one bottle will last a long time.

This foundation is also very long lasting. With a primer it can easily last a full 8 hour day without touch ups and still look great. Another bonus i like about this is that there is spf 10 in it so you have a small amount of sun protection.

This is a fabulous product that works perfectly for me Its long lasting, full coverage and great for oily skin. I would highly recommend to anyone with oily skin as it may be too drying for other skin types. For me its one of my all time fave foundations and totally worth the money!

For my combination to oily skin, I love it and I could say it is one of the best matt foundation for oily skin. This MAC foundation give a medium to full coverage( it is buildable) using with good primer and finishing spray... it gives the perfect look all day...

First off I'd like to say that I LOVE MAC foundations and this one is no exception! I only have to use a small amount of it and it gives me very good and natural coverage without looking 'cakey'. However, if you prefer more coverage, this foundation is build-able and even as you build it up it still looks very smooth and polished on the skin. With other foundations I noticed that if I hug someone then a little bit of it tends to rub off on them, but with this foundation this does not happen at all! I think this product is well worth the price-tag because its such good quality and a little goes a long way with it.

I love the colour range, had this colour matched in the shop and it is perfect. Great coverage for days where I need a little more, however does make my skin break out. Stays on forever!

This product has a great coverage and is aslo buildable. I initially purchased it as I was having trouble with oily skin, and you tube reviews claimed it was great for oily skin, and yes it is! It controls my shiny t-zone without feeling cakey and heavy on my skin.

I was abit hesitant to try this but it's a staple in my make up bag now! Great matte complete coverage :) a lot really goes along way! I use this for nights out l.

I believe Mac foundations are some of the best available. I have also used the water weight foundation in this range. I have been using them since I discovered the range at 18, so 12 years now.

I have very fair skin and I love how they make their foundations in a wide range of shades. There is something for every skin tone. I use NC15 during the Winter months and NC20 in summer. The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a screw lid. I wish the bottle came with a pump as it is difficult to get the product out near the end or in the beginning when you first use it too much comes out, (not overly hygienic). They do sell pumps separately but this adds to the cost.

Its formula is relatively thick so I find it is best to apply with a foundation brush. It feels silly on my skin and sets to a lovely matte finish with medium coverage. I have a few broken capillaries on my cheeks and this done a reasonably good job at concealing them. The only problem I have discovered is that it can cling to any dry patches you might have,so make sure you hydrate your skin with a good moisturiser and primer before using this. I have never had any irritation or break outs from wearing this and it never feels like it's clogging my pores.

All in all a really good foundation and worth the price.

I purchased my foundation over in the UK and was so pleased with the results. I got a shade darker as I tan well in the sun and it was a perfect match, lasted me a fair while which is great as it is expensive! I would apply before work and it would stay put without any shifting/or greasy shine. Apply with a brush to get the best coverage and blend in well to the skin

Do we really need to give MAC more credit? But since this site doesn't have elusive products like Thin Lizzy's concealer (my holy grail), I'll just add to the hype here. The scent-free, mattifying formula is hard to fault – easy to blend, medium coverage certainly build-able to full coverage, stays all day and doesn't break me out. I'm a sucker for glass packaging as I love something weighty and slightly luxurious, it's a joy whenever I use it. If I have to nit-pick: the reason why my recommend rating is a 4 is due to its price, its dear and for people starting off I might recommend a drugstore brand. Wish it came in pump packaging rather than a pour jar, as sometimes I have to stand there waiting for it to pour out. But who am I kidding, this'll be on my vanity (in a good way) for a long time coming.

This foundation covers everything while looking natural. It is also great for building coverage! It also provides and natural glow while sitting on the skin really well, (it doesn't go 'scaley').
