Straight away I had high hopes for this foundation. The brand has such an excellent reputation you can't help it. I expected to pay as much as I did and am happy with the price. 30ml goes a long way - especially if its not the only foundation you use. The coverage is brilliant and the colour is fantastic, I'm an NC20 and have quite red cheeks and the colour really balances them out. It is a very buildable product too, I can use this as lightly as I like or I can get a full coverage look too. It all depends on how you apply it.

Tips: If you want quite a sheer finish I suggest mixing with a little of your facial moisturiser and blending well.
This foundation is my Holy Grail Foundation and im on my 3rd bottle. Staying power is great on Normal, Oily & Combination Skin. The consistency is quite thick but can be buffed out easy enough for light coverage and buildable for those requiring full coverage therefore can be used for daily wear and special events. I find that I dont get flash back on flash photography when wearing this product. Love this product <3
Tips: For a drugstore dupe try Revlon Colorstay Foundation
I use MAC foundations for special occasions, mainly because they are such high quality and really are worth the money. The Studio Fix Foundation is a thick consistency and has excellent coverage, I used this foundation a lot in my 20s when I had an oily t-zone and it was great! However now I am in my mid 30s I find this foundation too thick and coverage too heavy even if I apply it thinly. I prefer the mineralise skinfinish foundation but I still recommend this foundation for the girls out there that like a full coverage foundation and don't have too many wrinkles! :)
I used to use this all the time. However I found I was very thick and would start to wear off throughout the day. I would use it again but only if prolongwear didn't exist
This is my favourite!! This was my first ever foundation and have been using it for years. Full coverage used with primer and setting powder gives you that matte look and lasts all day without looking cakey. Worth the money if your looking for a good coverage foundation. I think this retails for $60 at MAC counters? 10/10 for me. Highly recommended!!
Tips: Use a buffing brush to really work this in. A quick spritz of MAC Fix + and your ready to go!!
I have been using this foundation for years, I've tried to steer away and try several cheaper options but i am sad to say nothing compares. Sometimes you really do have to accept that you just sometimes have to pay more. Ok, so lets start with the packaging, it is a generously sized product. Mac packages their foundations beautifully, the great thing about this particular foundation is it's coverage ability. Less product is definitely more, so heres to it lasting at least four months minimum. The major down side is it's lack of pump. I actually purchased a pump for $14.00 from trade me, which i thought was a complete rip off. However the pump makes the product last way longer. So if your serious about MAC get serious about purchasing a pump. It allows you to control the product amount a lot easier. I remember the first time I purchased this and basically tipped the bottle upside down...and yep covered the whole back of my hand...WASTED! it's like gold if you spill this product. The great thing about MAC Is they have some many variations of shades and have this whole 'NW' and 'NC' thing going on. Basically any shades with NW are described as 'warmer' shades due to a pinky undertone being present in the he foundation. 'NC' is a slightly yellow tone, which is awesome for cancelling out redness and sallow looking skin, It blends great too. I have ghostly pale skin, I am English and have the typical pasty look going on so I currently use NC15. Too be honest I think if it was a teensy bit lighter it would be full on perfection, but you cant have it all ways so that's why less is more and a blending sponge is needed. Ok so good points: great coverage last all day has a beautiful matte finish hides blemished & redness very well Safe to use around the eye area (no stingies!) Cons: Pump not included, You have to work FAST with this as it drys quickly. Can look cakey if you get too carried away. I am loyal to MAC for foundation this is by far the best of their foundations, I find it to be less drying and provides excellent coverage. I would recommend for those that still cant find that perfect foundation.
Tips: 1-2 pumps of this product is more than enough to cover the whole of your face. Always finish this off with a pressed powder it sets the look and just makes the matte finish all that more beautiful. For a lighter coverage you can mix a tiny amount of your moisturizer with the fluid. This will give the foundation more 'slip' and give you a more natural base to work with. BUT REMEMBER: Use an oil based moisturizer as an oil and water solution do not mix so don't go using any water based moisturizer or you'll completely destroy the integrity of the foundation
This is the best foundation I have ever used! I have tried others but none have compared with this one! The coverage is amazing. For daily use i only use the tiniest bit but the foundation is easy buildable so if you need more coverage you can just add more. Each bottle lasts about a year for me. I don't personally find not having a pump a bad thing. I simply just dab my foundation brush on the top of the bottle and I get the perfect amount.
Tips: I do think a foundation brush is a must with this foundation. It is quite a full coverage so a brush helps to blend it in to your skin better.
Have been using MAC products for years now and they are well worth the investment. I love the Studio Fix and wear it daily. It never cracks or slips off and I can build a coverage to suit where I am going. Easily blended with a good quality brush and covers evenly
Tips: Build up coverage slowly, always use my MAC primer underneath and my Banana powder on top to set it - with those two products it lasts all day with no touch ups at all needed!
This is by far my number ONE foundation. Some may say it's pricey but it lasts. It gives a super even coverage, doesn't clog your pores. It really helps to even my skin tone, reduce redness. And best of all doesn't break my skin out like alot of other liquid foundations do.
The formula is build able to a very full coverage . Meaning if your not after a full coverage look apply a little to really brighten your face and to cover up blemishes.
I find even with an oily skin tone it stays in place. Mac is very well known for high quality products, and this is no exception, the colour tones are amazing and the shade available will match any skin tone.
No matter how many liquid foundations i try, i keep coming back to this, because it does what it says it will do. And really helps my skin to look flawless.
Tips: Apply a primmer to you face to help the foundation glide on, and reduce your pore size, {if you suffer from larger pores} it will also help you make up to last longer.
Apply Mac studio fix foundation with a foundation brush really working it into your skin and make sure you blend it into your neck. Make sure you are using the correct shade. Always make.sure when applying any makeup you have good lighting.
This foundation works amazingly well with a damp beauty blender. Make sure you squeeze out any excess water, and build the coverage up for really flawless looking skin.
I heard great things about this foundation so jumped at the chance when I could get it. Unfortunately, my face and this product don't make good friends. I found it to be very, very thick in texture and went on something similar to acrylic paint. It made my skin break out and looked super cakey - but this is only my experience, I'm sure there are others who will tell you their happy experiences. But this product just isn't for me which is a real shame.
