MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 Review

I've used this product on numerous occasions and I can say that it gives great coverage and is long lasting. I was also surprised that the makeup didn't oxidise on my face, and remained the same colour throughout the day. It's quite hard to find foundation which suits my medium brown skin tone, but with this product I had the perfect colour!!. But, I suffer from breakouts and this foundation agitated my skin. On the occasions I used it I happened to breakout quite badly the day after. The formula clogged my pores and ruined my skin. This is very disappointing considering the great coverage it gives. However I won't be reaching for it anytime soon because I don't want to go through another mass breakout.

I was recently colour matched at MAC and purchased this foundation. I am NW20 which is a cool toned shade. I wanted a full coverage foundation which I use for big days, and nights out! It lasts me a full day on my skin which is combination. I hardly need to use concealer when using this foundation which is a bonus. I use my Real Techniques buffing brush which gives a really good coating, and blends it in well into my skin. The only con I have about this product is the scent, it smells a bit chemically. Apart from that it is a foundation that I will repurchase. It is highly pigmented, and easy to work with. I make sure my skin is well moisturised before hand as this can be a bit drying which I was informed of when I purchased it from MAC. There Is a full range of colours so it was very easy to be matched.

Love this foundation! Have finally found my foundation. I was finding that others I had were getting really patchy even with the use of a primer and they weren't cheap brands either. Mac studio fix stays on and gives great coverage. I use this every other day and it's so light on my skin. I also love that it has an spf in it for my fair skin.

I absolutely adore this foundation. It was my first ever MAC foundation and I instantly fell in love with it. Here's why.

It's so easy to apply, it blends out evenly and flawlessly. It's not a quick setting foundation so you do have time to dot it all over your face and buff it into the skin one area at a time.

It's a light to medium coverage which is perfect for your daytime makeup routine (if you prefer a lighter coverage). I do like to use this foundation with my lioele bb cream, these two together are magical. The bb cream evens out my skin tone and preps my face perfectly for a flawless canvas.

It's a long lasting foundation so it's perfect for any occasion. I can go out for dinner, have a wine.... or three, come home late and my makeup still looks as good as what it did when I first walked out the door. It sits perfectly on my skin and it doesn't seperate throughout the night/day.

It doesn't come with a pump (but you can buy them for $10 through the website) unfortunately I didn't and now I regret it because it's actually rather difficult to get the product out. I have to use the end of my mini brushes to scoop the product out which really isn't a biggie but I would prefer to have the foundation pump for it.

I'm so glad I picked this up. It is an absolute favourite of mine and I only paid $27us for it through the website.

I use to like this product but i think i just liked it because of the hype and every one was talking about it, its ok, coverage is really good, but it doesnt smell good, it doesnt come with a pump ( you have to purchase separately, and i think there are better foundations for the price.

I actually bought this because I was told in store that it was the only MAC foundation in my colour (NW10). No other MAC foundation comes in NW10. It is probably too high coverage for me but unfortunately if I wanted my colour I didn't have much of a choice :(

The consistency is pretty thick which is a bit off putting. I find it helpful to use a damp sponge to sheer it out a bit so it doesn't feel so globby on my skin.

I find that after around 8 hours of wear it does settle in my pores but I imagine most foundations would do this after 8 hours!

It does smell a bit like paint but the smell doesn't linger.

I've never had a problem with breaking out with this foundation. My skin seems to be fine with it.

I wish it came with a pump!!! Heaps of foundation gets stuck on the inside of the cap. Such a waste.

Overall it's a good staple foundation, good for nights out and special occasions but perhaps not every day because it is so heavy.

I love the colour range, had this colour matched in the shop and it is perfect. Great coverage for days where I need a little more, however does make my skin break out. Stays on forever!

When I went into Mac to buy a foundation, I wasn't expecting Studio Fix to have the amount of coverage that it does. I find this foundation slightly too heavy to wear on a day to day basis and I do have to really buff it out to make it all blend in. However, I love this foundation for nights out and occasions where I want my skin to look flawless and well covered.

I wish I had gone and gotten a sample for this foundation before I spent $60 on it, I found this product doesn't do half of what it says it does. This is the hardest foundation I have ever used to blend, I have to work so fast before it dries up. The way I put my foundation on is by putting spots all over my face then blending out with me desired tool, whether that be a brush or damp Beauty Blender, if I don't blend out every spot within 20-30 seconds it just dries up and doesn't budge. This foundation is also extremely drying and just clings to the dry patches on my skin and flakes away. On a positive note this foundation colour range is amazing, one to suit every skin tone and colour! And the coverage is great too, it definitely is Medium build able like it promises. This could work for Oily or Combination skin though. All in all I wouldn't purchase this for myself again.

i love this foundation for the way it stays on all day.my only concern is that you have to blend it in fast before it sets.i have fine lines under my eyes and i can not put it under my eye area.i use a beauty blender to apply it in small dots over my face,i blend it in and place a liquid concealer under my eye area instead of this foundation.it sets into my fine lines under my eyes if i use this foundation there.i don't like the glass bottle but the product does stay on all day.
