I love this foundation and is another must have in my makeup bag for nights out when a more heavy duty foundation is required. The coverage is great and a little goes a long way. I have found that this product works for me as I am lucky and have s normal skin type however when lending to friends with more of an oily skin type it doesn't sit as well for long periods of time. The coverage is great the product is great however make sure it is correct and suitable for your skin type

This foundation looks great when first applied (despite acne scars and discolouration showing through), but I have oily skin and after a few hours it starts to slide off, transfer, and my pores and fine lines are very visible (I am only 19!). It also rubbed off on textured areas, making me have lots of little bare dots on the face. This is also with blotting and reapplying powder. I recommend it for a few hours wear but any longer and you'll be a mess :-s
Tips: Do not wear all day if you have oily skin, and make sure to powder! Also if you have discolouration/acne scars you will need to be generous with concealer.
Am I the only one who can't make this foundation stick...or Fix?! The long wear goodness just wipes off my skin. My pores, lines and wrinkles showed up terribly under certain lights, making me look extra caked up with make up :/ Shame when the colour match was on point!
This product has a great coverage and is aslo buildable. I initially purchased it as I was having trouble with oily skin, and you tube reviews claimed it was great for oily skin, and yes it is! It controls my shiny t-zone without feeling cakey and heavy on my skin.
Tips: I find buffing it in with a brush gives me the best even coverage.
I've been on the hunt forever for a high end foundation that doesn't conflict with my combination dry skin, whilst still be full coverage.
Design wise this comes in a clear glass bottle with the logo and details printed onto the glass in a mirrored font. Sold without a pump but a black acrylic screw on lid, I of course whilst at the MAC counter purchased a pump for the additional cost as it makes using liquid foundations out of bottles so much more easier and economical as you don't over pour the foundation out and waste any. It is also great for keeping the whole affair tidy as the pump has a twist mechanism that allows you to open and close it.
Formula wise this is the perfect mix of just fluid enough to not run off the back of my hand where I pump out 2 drops and then use my brush from there to buff over my face. Using with or without a primer this foundation has no problem of creating a flawless veil across your face that settles into a full coverage effect perfect to base the rest of your makeup on. It dries slightly matte that keeps the oily areas happy but not overly matte that my drier areas start to react with it and cake. I do however like to give all my base products time to settle before moving on and this helps with the balance of primer, moisturiser and then foundation.
NW10 was selected for me as it runs yellow rather than pink and the NC10 was far too pink toned almost looked orange on my fair skin so it is always best to test before you buy.
Being long lasting too this foundation once settle doesn't sit on your face like a mask but blurs into your skin as a 2nd layer, unnoticeable. It doesn't rub off, transfer, cake up or slip about the face.
This was the first big girl foundation I bought, as I thought why not buy the 'best'. There are an amazing amount of shades so there's bound to be one to match every skin tone. I don't really like the packaging because of the matte lid (which gets covered in foundation every time I touch it) and the fact that you have to purchase a pump for an additional ?$14?. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the coverage is not that great, i'd say medium and not very build-able without looking cake faced. It also fades during the day no matter what primer I use and to be honest, I just don't think it delivers for the price.
I am a huge MAC fan and used Studio Fix for years.
The packaging is simple and classic as most MAC products are. To get to the product you have to unscrew the lid and get your brush in there. It can be quite hard to get the last bit out of the bottom when there isn't much left.
This product applies well, a little seems to go a long way and you can easily build up. It provides a really good medium level coverage and leaves your skin looking velvety and matte. It lasts well - basically the whole day for me.
I find this foundation to be a bit drying, so would be hesitant to use this in winter when my skin is crazy dry.
I have been meaning to go and get my skin colour matched for this foundation for ages. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner its so good for my skin. I got matched to NC15 and while it's suitable for winter it's probably going to be too light for my skin but I can always darken it up with a bit of bronzer and make it work. I have combination skin and this foundation has a matte finish and stays matte the whole day on my skin. It has really good coverage and a little goes a long way giving really good coverage. As they say it is buildable and really gives amazing coverage if needed. My skin looks so good in this foundation and I really like using the product. I really do recommend this foundation.
I use this foundation for important occasions/heading out to town. I LOVE it, you don't have to worry about touching it up, its the perfect colour and they can colour match you when you buy it. Makes my complexion so nice, especially when topped off with the Mac Studio Fix Powder :)
Tips: Foundation, Conceal, Powder- 3 Simple Steps
Smooth matte finish, buildable coverage gives about medium coverage to start. Applies, builds and blends easily and evenly, long-wearing, aids in minimising the appearance of my freckles, giving a more flawless look and finish. I team it with the studio fix powder for flawless heavier coverage.
Tips: Purchase the Mac pump for $15 so you don't over use the product.
