beautiful product. stays put all day, great on hot humid days! worth the price..... all this providing your a pink skin toned person. the NW range is great! the NC range mmmm not a big fan. because im a neutral to warm skin toned person i found it really hard to colour match. if i wear a light layer of the NW then warm my skin up with alot of golden bronzer im good to go, however it takes a while!

I went into MAC last year to see if I could get matched up and purchase a foundation so I could buy my shade online. However I got a new shade in this foundation ( c4.5) when I am an NC25 in the powders so it didn't help unfortunately! I couldn't match up colours..
However I find this foundation to be quite runny and also doesn't help my oily skin. I often found that it would smear off during the day. However it is very easy to blend, the bottle top isn't very user friendly though, I would buy a pump next time. For the price though I recommend looking at Revlon Foundations, as this didn't provide the coverage or look I was looking for
I've had this foundation for quite a while now, and its average coverage! I love the finish it gives though! I set my face with a maybelline fit me powder in 310, and my shade is NW25
Tips: Get a pump for you foundation bottle! so much easier! And be careful when getting your foundation matched, the lady at MAC matched me for nw20 and it was way too light, even I could tell!
I've been really keen to try Studio Fix but hate the strong paint(?) smell... I really don't like a lot of fragrance or scent to my foundations. I felt like the colour was very orange too, but maybe I was matched wrong. My skin did get quite oily with this and it wasn't as long lasting as I wanted.
This has been my holy grail foundation for the last year. It's been difficult for me to find a product that will stay on my oily face all day without looking cakey, wearing off or not having enough coverage. Studio Fix is buildable, and buffed in properly looks like a second layer of skin. The large range of shades means you can find one that suits you to a T, I've applied it at 7am before work and gone out afterwards only to have flawless skin when I get home around 12pm. I truly think it's worth every dime and lasts far longer than I had expected.
Tips: Go to a MAC store and have yourself matched, preferably in the morning so you can wear it all day to find how it wears on your skin and whether the colour suits you in both natural and artificial lighting.
This is now my go to foundation. It has great coverage and I barely need any corrective concealer underneath, I have very red cheeks so need a small amount of concealer. Most foundations leave me with breakouts but I haven't had one since using this foundation. It gives you a great even base to work with.
Tips: You will need to use a blush with this to prevent looking washed out. This foundation doesn't come with a pump but one can be bought separately, I highly recommend buying one so that you don't tip to much product out each time you use it.
I have oily, acne-prone skin and to top it all off, hyperhidrosis so I have a hard time finding long-lasting foundations that don't sweat off or break me out. I first bought MAC Studio Fix Fluid when I was living in Queensland and desperately trying to find a liquid foundation that would stand up to the humidity there. Studio Fix beyond met my expectations of a foundation.
I applied using a foundation brush after priming, essential with this foundation if you have oily skin. It gives really even coverage, covering blemishes and redness with ease. It was able to build to very full coverage, allowing you to choose between wearing medium-full coverage depending on how much you apply. I then set with powder, and found that with this in place it really does last all day, with only a couple powder touch-ups during the day.
I did find it was a bit harder to blend this around my eyebrows which ended up looking slightly orange-tinged after applying, but this was easily fixed by applying eyebrow pencil and gel as I normally would anyway.
I really would recommend giving this a try if you're after a long-wearing foundation with flawless coverage that won't melt off.
Tips: MAC has so many different shades available, so it's easier to find your match. If your MAC foundation shade isn't quite right e.g. you're going from summer to winter, but the shade down doesn't match yet, ask for a sample of it at the MAC counter and then blend this into your foundation. I find this is a great and easy way to transition your liquid foundation from one season to the next without having to buy a new foundation straight away which may be a shade off anyway.
I've always used just powder foundation and tried different liquid bases, but lately decided I wanted to be more serious about getting into using a liquid foundation. The MAC Studio Fix was the best one that I found, it goes on so easily and does not feel heavy at all on my face (which is something I am very serious about), I don't like to feel as if I have a thick layer of creamy stuff caked on, and I did not feel that at all with Studio Fix. I do only use it when I'm going out, and not for my day to day look, but it definitely is one of my favourite makeup products.
Tips: For some serious coverage, and super makeup for photo's, I found using the liquid and then my powder foundation over the top gives a great made up look.
It has amazing coverage, a bit sceptical on the longevity of it. It certainly blends well and is hard to move once applied. Wouldn't recommend for acne prone or oily skin. It can be heavy and because of this, not suitable for everyday wear without breaking out. Awesome product for photos or a night out.
Tips: Definetely make sure you get a sample pot, and have it perfectly matched to your skin tone. Don't fall into the trap of buying one shade slightly darker for summer, because you'll end up frustrated and out of pocket.
I have uneven skin tones and definitely not the best looking skin in the world, however when I use my MAC studio fix foundation I feel more confident. Using a primer before applying my foundation definitely makes it last longer. And using a flat top foundation brush makes it much easier to blend on my face (blending is the key to a flawless complexion).
Some people may find it a bit heavy on their skin. In my opinion this is definitely more a foundation for those who are wanting the full coverage look!
Tips: Definitely invest in buying the pump that MAC sells (as this product doesn't come with one). Makes your product last a lot longer this way!
