I received this sponge in the best ever beauty box nude collection. I prefer using sponges to put on my foundation as I think they work best for my dry skin. I hadn't seen this instore or even knew that this brand made a sponge but I was looking forward to trying it out.
This is a nice pink colour which I really like. Pink is my fave colour and just makes me feel better by seeing it. It has one rounded end and one flat end. I like this, it reminds me a lot of my real techniques sponge and I really do enjoy using a sponge with a flat edge.
To use this, you need to let it absorb some water and then wring out the excess. It does say you can use this dry but I tried once and didn't think it did as good of a job. The texture of this sponge is kind of odd, very different to me anyway. I've only used the real techniques and proper beauty blender before. When they are wet, they are quite light and very soft. This sponge stays quite dense and almost has a doughy feeling when you squish it. It is definitely not as soft to bounce over my face but I've gotten used to it after using it a few times. I feel like it gives me a really nice finish, just the same as what I would expect from a more expensive sponge.
While I don't think I'd actively seek out this sponge, I'd repurchase if I saw it on sale or if I needed to get one from a store instead of waiting online.
I wasn't quite sure about this sponge when it arrived in one of my boxes but I have used it several times now and prefer this to any of the sponges I have used.
Tips: Wash out with warm water not cold and a gentle soap if you prefer.
