These are so handy to use! Polish comes off easily with a couple of wipes. The smell is pleasant and not overly strong. Perfect for travel - saves me having to take a whole bottle of polish remover and cotton buds with me on holiday.

Manicare Nail Polish Remover Pads Review

There are several things I like about these. There are plenty of them in the pack. They don't drip and you can safely carry them in your handbag. They effectively remove nail polish (glitter polish always takes more effort). I can remove one hand of polished nails with one pad, making them cost effective. They have a pleasant smell, so can be used anywhere without offending too many people. I like to keep a pack in my drawer at work. There are two slight downsides. Fingers are left feeling quite sticky/oily (basically icky for me) and so I always wash them with soap after using. It is very difficult to just remove one nail of polish without destroying the polish on the hand holding the pad - could get around this by using a glove though.
I loved trialling these nail polish remover pads! I have a few Manicare products that are favourites and hadn't tried these pads before!
The little container IS super cute. It had a lovely designer floral cover, and IS a handy size for travel and handbags when the chipped polish nails just have to go! It's also nice a nice size to sit in a cupboard/drawer rather than the big bottle of polish remover and a stack of cotton pads!
The scent of this one I trialled was floral and it definitely smelt more floral than the normal nail polish remover. It actually didn't smell like any polish remover I'd smelt before. It was also acetone free, which is fantastic as it's not as drying on nails or skin. I didn't have dried out cuticles after using this product - a big plus!
I tried this on my fingernails with just a couple of coats of polish and a top coat, and one pad would do one hand. With red polish it got a little messy, as the oily nature of the pads seemed to transfer to skin - BUT red polish is never pretty to remove, regardless of the removal product - so these pads removed it easily, and I used a second pad to clean up the colour left and they looked great. My nails didn't feel dried out, which was great. My nails did also appear brighter, which I think is the oils left from the remover on the nail, but they did look pretty and healthy after using these pads.
If you were to paint your nails straight away you'd want to wash your hands, or use an alcohol wipe of some sort to get rid of some of those moisturising oils in the product so the next mani lasted the distance.
I also tried these pads on my toes - with some fairly heavy glitter polish going on (4 weeks old too), and these pads did struggle a bit. I would normally use an acetone remover for glitter mani's as they're incredibly difficult to remove, so I wasn't expecting the pads to pack the same punch - but I wanted to try. It did remove some glitter, but it took a lot of work and a few extra pads to get the glitter off.
All up. I like them. I like the convenience of them - you don't have to have polish and cotton pads. You don't get the 'fluff' left behind like cotton pads can leave either. They smelt surprisingly pleasant and probably the least 'chemical' smelling of the many nail products I've tried.
On nails with just straight polish or a shimmer, these pads do a fantastic job at removing polish, with just one pad per hand/foot (maybe less if it's a light mani) and you're nails and cuticles won't feel dried out afterwards which is a big plus!
Thanks BR & Manicare for a fab product to review!
I love these things. I love that the kids can remove their own polish without fear of spilling my good OPI remover all over the place!
They smell good - as good as remover is going to - don't go deliberately sniffing though as I'm sure it's not good for you!
Nail polish is removed easily with one wipe, maybe two depending on the colour.
My container stays sealed and the wipes have not dried out at all.
My only problem is that you need to use a regular remover to remove the oiliness if you are going to re polish your nails straight away. If you are leaving them bare then it is good and they are nice and nourished looking.
I ordered these remover pads (the floral ones) from the BR Beauty Vault. There are 32 in the small container that can fit in my palm. The pads themselves are thinner than I thought they would be, but still hold quite a lot of the nail polish remover liquid. One pad was enough to remove the nail polish from all of my toes! (Though admittedly I have quite small toes.) The best thing about this product is that it doesn't stink! I was preparing my self on opening for a concentrated smell of turps that come with most nail polish remover, but not from these! Though there is a light floral smell and a little chemically-ness it is no where near as pungent as any other polish remover I've used. Plus, because there are so many pads in such a small container, it'll be great for going on holiday with if I get the urge to do my nails.
I received this in the We Love Nail Best Ever Beauty Box. I thought it's addition was a good idea since if you're a beginner at some point you're going to need to take off the polish. For starters the pot is good in that it doesn't leak which is important since it's handy for traveling. The formula for this polish remover is different than what I have come across in the past the polish remover solution seems oily and leaves a bit of a residue on your nails after you have wiped off the polish, however the residue isn't drying which is good. One pad seems to remove most of the polish on one hand depending on how many coats of polish I have on. I usually need to take a second pad and remove the remaining polish after the first initial pad. I haven't tried it with glitter or textured polish so I don't know how well it removes those. It doesn't have an exceptionally strong scent like most polish removers. I wouldn't say it's a nice coconut scent but it's a better scented polish remover than what I normally use. The only con I can think of with this is that compared to a regular bottle of nail polish remover this is more expensive for the amount. Still it doesn't cost too much and if I were traveling I would consider having these handy.
Tips: These are non-drying and good for traveling. If you regularly paint your nails I would consider having this handy in your travel bag to remove manicures that are starting to chip and look tacky.
These are super neat! This little box contains 32 pads, and one pad is enough to get rid of all the polish on both hands. So if I have a different set of nails every week this'll last me over 6 months, all for $5!
The individual pads are quite thin, but hold up their integrity very well. They're well saturated with remover so I didn't have to scrub very hard at my nails. Towards the last couple fingers I did find it getting a bit more difficult to use, and that the pad felt almost soapy.
This left some sort of oil on my nails, which seemed quite gentle and moisturising, but I always wash my hands and reapply cuticle oil anyway. This would be great though for anyone who don't bother with cuticle oil after using nail-polish remover. I also noticed that the skin around my nails didn't look dried out, which I find with some cheap nail polish removers.
Another thing I really liked is the slight fragrance. Nothing more annoying than removing your nails and then having to wallow in the toxic fume smell for the whole night because it's too cold to open the windows. This barely smelled at all and afterwards I noticed my nails smelling nice and flowery! Of all the nail polish removers I've used, only the Chanel polish remover can compare to this, and even then I think this comes out on top.
The baseline: works great at removing polish, doesn't crumble apart like a cotton pad might, smells lovely, leaves nail moisturised. I'll definitely buy again once it runs out, thanks BR for introducing me to this!

You get 32 pads that are saturated in nail polish remover. These come in such a cute container that will easily fit into your make-up bag.
I received the FLORAL SCENT as part of the trial (Thanks Beauty Review!) and I am really impressed with the subtlety of these, usually I use acetone removers and clear the room out.
As with any nail polish remover some polishes are easier to remove than others. I used a variety and found that the metallic ones took longer to remove whereas the glossy ones came off much easier. Just leave the pad on your nail a bit longer then rub off. I used 2 pads and my nails weren't left dry and I didn't feel the need to rinse them.
Tips: Ideal for travel with no worry of any spillage.
I trialed the floral scent pads. These come in a little screw top container. I found the seal was quite hard to peal off, but at least with a decent seal they are not going to be dried out when you get them. The scent is not very strong in the container, but once used on your fingernails, it is quite a nice smell. I love the fact that they don't have that strong remover smell. I used these on the most stubborn nail polish I have. I found they removed it a little easier than other removers I have tried. Depending on how often you paint your nails or change the colour, these should last a while as I only needed one to do both hands. They left my nails looking shiny and feeling like they had been moisturized. These are perfect if you have children that like to paint/have their nails painted as they can remove it themselves without you worrying that they are going to spill remover everywhere. Miss 10 found these easy to use and not stinky (as she put it). These are a great size for travel etc. Will be purchasing these again.
I'm not a fan of acetone nail polish remover so was happy to discover these are acetone free. There is a scent but its not overpowering and potent. They come in a small portable container with a secure lid. With regular polish they are easy to use, rub into nails and polish is gone fairly quickly. The pads are thin so I normally need to use one on each hand. 32 in a pack so 16 uses from one container.
I did discover they are not so great with glitter nail polish and I wasted a number of pads trying to remove with not much luck. So I don't recommend for removing glitter nail polish.
Tips: Great for regular glitter free nail polish.
