Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles

I recently received this from a family member from England, as it is not available in New Zealand - as far as I know, anyway. I have been waiting to try this concealer for such a long time after hearing such great things about it, and it is definitely worth the hype! It is great coverage for me, as my under eye are isn't too dark, it brightens, doesn't crease (when it is set with a powder) and it is so much fun to apply, the applicator is nothing like anything I've seen before. I absolutely love this concealer, and will repurchase online as soon as I run out.

I bought this recently on a trip to Australia. So jealous that even though they are just over the pond that they have access to so many different products that we can't get in shops! I have found seen this on Fishpond though if you are looking to purchase this from NZ. I picked this up in the shade Fair which actually works really well for me and has just a touch of peach in it for neutralising the under eye black circles.

I actually love the packaging of this. Nice and compact for travelling. The stopper in it pushes down and gets all the product from the sides. Yes it takes a wee while for the product to come up the first time, but make sure you take it slow so you don't waste any product. I know a lot of the people don't like the sponge on the top but I don't mind it, apparently it has anti-bacterial properties in it so it doesn't spread germs (I don't know if I believe that). I do think if you were to use this for blemishes though you need to make sure that you put it on your hand/finger first then on to the blemish so you aren't spreading the germs. But as this has a highlighting aspect to it I just use it on my under eyes.

The formulation of this is incredibly light and thin. It isn't full coverage, more medium to me. So if you are looking for something to completely cover this probably isn't for you. I think this has a lovely natural finish to it. I put it under my eyes and down onto the top of my cheeks. Brightens and covers my bags in a lovely way. I haven't found this to crease on me at all.

I'm not sure whether this is the miracle product everyone makes it out to be, but it certainly is good (for me at least).

I’d heard so much hype (especially on youtube) about this concealer, so when I was in Aussie recently I picked this up at the chemist. Sadly I haven’t personally found this to be all it is hyped up to be.

The packaging is a bit annoying, but it does work… eventually. It definitely took me a good few minutes of twisting up the first time to get any product out onto the sponge. I find the sponge a bit annoying because it seems to soak up a lot of the concealer, and so quite a bit is wasted that way. It is super soft and feels nice when I’m applying the concealer under my eyes, although you can’t really use it to blend the product out – you need to use your fingers or a separate brush/sponge for that.

I got the lightest shade, Fair, as the next one down looked way too dark in the tube. I have very fair skin (NC15), and for me, Fair is just slightly too dark and too pink. It’s not too bad when first applied, but once it sets (with or without a powder on top), it seems to oxidise a bit more and gets much more obvious.

It definitely doesn’t have full coverage, but it can be built up to a medium coverage without too much trouble. If you could get the right shade, it would work well as a highlighting-type concealer, rather than a full-coverage one.

The consistency seems quite thick initially, but it actually blends out very thinly, and feels nice and light on the skin. Unfortunately on me, this still doesn’t prevent it from settling and creasing very quickly. If I don’t set it lightly with powder it creases within minutes, and even with powder it starts creasing within an hour, plus it can start to look a bit dry and cakey. It also seems to fade relatively quickly, so any coverage I get from it is mostly gone by the end of the day.

I feel bad for saying so many negative things about this, but it really didn’t suit me at all. I think if you’re someone who just needs a bit of light brightening coverage under your eyes (and you can find a good shade match), this could work. However, I need fuller, lasting coverage, and the creasing issue is a dealbreaker for me.

This has such a light consistency and it doesn't crease at all! It's lightly salmon toned so it corrects those annoying dark circles. I feel like I can't put on makeup without it, it makes me look awake and bright. I don't really like the packaging, mine broke really easily and a lot of the product gets stuck inside it, but I still love it and will keep repurchasing!

This is my under eyes best friend! The formula covers my dark under eye circles flawlessly without looking cakey. The nice creamy formula dries well and doesn't crack, crease or melt through out the day.

I do not like the applicator and find it wastes a lot of the product.

I have been looking a for a trusty under eye concealer and this one is definitely a good contender! It covers dark circles amazingly well. It makes my face look more awake and alive and has a beautiful brightening affect. A little of this product goes a long way and then finish is just amazing! I do experience a little bit of creasing when i first apply after i have blended it into my skin, so after i apply the rest of my makeup i just blend it out a little more had a bit of translucent powder and then it is set for the day.

Although i am a little bit concerned with the packaging as since using this i have had a couple of break outs on the top of my cheek bones which is uncommon for me as my problem area is usually my chin and forehead. I am not sure if this was caused by this product although applying this over the breakouts seems very unhygienic.

I think if this product was packaged like the rimmel wake me up concealer with a doe foot applicator this would be a perfect product.

I love this product so much, I have pretty bad dark circles and struggle to cover them up as concealer just ends up getting cakey and looking horrible but this covers my dark circles no problem. I use this product as an all over face concealer, the coverage is so good! The packaging, however, could be better but apart from that this product is perfect!

The thing I actually liked most about this concealer is the applicator. The little twisty sponge thing worked super well and I preferred it to other concealers that had a lipgloss or paint brush kind of look. Application was super easy and it did semi cover my dark under eyes but not completely. When I use this on my upper cheek bones where I tend to get some redness that seeps through my foundation, I find it brightens that area and gets rid of any occurring redness :) Generally a good product :)

I have really deep dark under eye circles I just quickly grab it as I ran out of my last product b4 work when I put it on it was amazing it took covered and correct the darkness gave me an amazing glow under my eyes. BUT I find it really hard to find in Nz even online

I didnt like this very much i found it didnt cover my dark circles completely and it did crease And dry my skin , also the applicator was a little unhygienic, was like using a dirty sponge, i feel bad giving a bad review but its true even the smell was unpleasant, maybe its just me but i wont be using this product again i love maybelline products but this one let me down,
