I have looked for years for a concealer than actually concealed my insomniac dark circles. This little tube is like Michelangelo painting a fresco on your face. It lights up my face like a halo but not in a too-much-highlighter way. The little sponge applicator applies a luminous veil over your darkest (eye) days. I've also used it to cover blemishes really effectively. It took me a while to find as word has spread of its miraculous properties so I recommend grabbing it on sight. It really is one of these 'great drugstore finds' we all love finding.

Tips: Like other illuminating concealers- it is awesome for any dark or blemished areas.
So much hype and really wanted to like this concealer. I have fine lines and need a product that won't settle or cake. The product promises to micro fill and smooth, but it just settled into the fine lines and made them more noticeable. The texture was strange, as it's comes out quite wet, but dries quickly and sets thick. I quite like the sponge applicator as I try not to touch my eye area if not needed, but it wasn't easy to control the product or blend out, so I would apply to my hand first and try to dot on but the product would set fast. It reminded me of white out/twink - goes tacky quickly and then hard to do anything with it.
I’d heard so much hype (especially on youtube) about this concealer, so when I was in Aussie recently I picked this up at the chemist. Sadly I haven’t personally found this to be all it is hyped up to be.
The packaging is a bit annoying, but it does work… eventually. It definitely took me a good few minutes of twisting up the first time to get any product out onto the sponge. I find the sponge a bit annoying because it seems to soak up a lot of the concealer, and so quite a bit is wasted that way. It is super soft and feels nice when I’m applying the concealer under my eyes, although you can’t really use it to blend the product out – you need to use your fingers or a separate brush/sponge for that.
I got the lightest shade, Fair, as the next one down looked way too dark in the tube. I have very fair skin (NC15), and for me, Fair is just slightly too dark and too pink. It’s not too bad when first applied, but once it sets (with or without a powder on top), it seems to oxidise a bit more and gets much more obvious.
It definitely doesn’t have full coverage, but it can be built up to a medium coverage without too much trouble. If you could get the right shade, it would work well as a highlighting-type concealer, rather than a full-coverage one.
The consistency seems quite thick initially, but it actually blends out very thinly, and feels nice and light on the skin. Unfortunately on me, this still doesn’t prevent it from settling and creasing very quickly. If I don’t set it lightly with powder it creases within minutes, and even with powder it starts creasing within an hour, plus it can start to look a bit dry and cakey. It also seems to fade relatively quickly, so any coverage I get from it is mostly gone by the end of the day.
I feel bad for saying so many negative things about this, but it really didn’t suit me at all. I think if you’re someone who just needs a bit of light brightening coverage under your eyes (and you can find a good shade match), this could work. However, I need fuller, lasting coverage, and the creasing issue is a dealbreaker for me.
I purchased this concealer due to seeing quite a few people on YouTube rave about how amazing this product is.
Firstly, I suffer from dark under eye circles and have only found two concealers that cover them up. So I decided pick this up online in the shade light because the last Maybelline concealer I tried wasn't that great for coverage.
The applicator is made out of sponge/foam material and surely it is a breeding ground for bacteria and all things nasty. I also found that it took forever to actually be able to get product out as it has a winder.
The product itself was very disappointing even though it has a lovely thick texture it provides me with minimal coverage. I found that it was easy to blend out and it didn't settle into any fine lines. I think the reason this didn't cover my under eye area was due to it being my skintone color and wasn't light enough to highlight my under eye area.
I wouldn't recommend this as a full coverage concealer on someone of my complexion but is great for a natural daytime look.
You cannot go wrong with this concealer-I LOVE IT!!!! Im surprised to not it have a greater overall average but its a FIVE PLUS STARS FROM ME!!! I bought it cos because a lot of youtubers were giving it the thumbs up and I do not regret buying this at all. Great applicator, great coverage, long lasting!! Maybelline concealers are a def must have for your makeup bag :D
This is also one of the products I use in the mornings or any time of the day,I never put foundation under my eyes so when I put my foundation on,i dab this product under each eye and the corners of my eyes and dab in with my ring finger,it comes in a plastic tube with a sponge on the top as the applicator, you twist the tube and the product comes into the sponge ready to use, after I have dabbed it in ,my undereye area is instantly brightened, like a highlighter ,it does not sink into my fine lines (being 47 I have a few) but I set with a powder and and my foundation/highlight is done,it's a creamy product and you do not need to use a lot,I would recomend to others
Tips: Use your ring finer to dab it into your undereye area
I really like this product. I've seen it being used on YouTube for a few years but I had no idea where to buy it from. When I saw it on beauty joint, I immediately purchased it.
I love the style of this concealer. It's in a simple tube but instead of a wand to apply it, it has a ball shaped sponge. Possibly this could be looked at as unhygienic but I did read somewhere about it that it is made to be anti fungal. I would recommend not leaving it hanging around in your collection for too long though just to be on the safe side. To get the product onto the sponge, you just twist the top and it clicks up the concealer. The concealer goes down evenly in the tube so you can see exactly how much is left.
I have this in the shade brightener illuminateur. It's a light skin tone color but on the pink side. On me, it's not super brightening but it does highlight a little and helps to conceal the darkness. The texture is on the thinner side but it seems very pigmented and it blends easily. I just use my finger. Sometimes I add another concealer on top to brighten more but I don't feel like it needs to be done. As long as I set this with powder, I don't get creasing for most of the day. Sometimes I have a bit at the end of the day.
I'd buy this again. And I'd recommend for others as well. I would like to try out one of the other colors o see how that goes.
Tips: Use your fingers or a sponge to blend out. A sponge will help to take any excess product off too.
I must admit I found out about this on YT & wanted ut from the reviews on this. However I failed to notice it was mainly youthful tubers using it that would most definitely have different lifestyles & skin to mine. Nevertheless I needed it.
A glass tube with a sponge end that winds to expose product. Quite convenient. It's a yellow toned fluid that's thin but pigmented & spreadable but not wet. It goes on smooth & gives you time to blend into skin. I find it doesn't have full coverge it it plays a part in the concealing routine. It can seep into fine line so a hydrating eye creme is needed to prevent this. Once setting the concealer it stays put all day no slipping. I still like this concealer but I don't go to it for full coverage I use it on days I'm just doing a light bbcream light look.
What an amazing product! When it says for all skin types , it really is for all types. My face is very oily skin that breaks out in acne for most products that touch my face , but this product didn't and I'm very excited just for that reason alone. I find the finished looks leaves my face looking naturally flawless and I love it!
I have a problem with dark under eye circles and have not found many products that can conceal this without making the area look worse by creasing, looking dry or looking cakey.
This is one of the better products I have found.
First off the applicator (shown in the picture) is extremely hard to use (my foam part actually pops off all the time which is annoying and not to mention messy) and surely is a breeding ground for bacteria. Anyway, I have the older packaging also, which is just a plain squeeze-able tube which i much prefer.
The product itself gives fantastic coverage and nearly fully conceals my darkness (yay!) but it still can look a bit dry sometimes. It doesn't seem to settle into fine lines as noticeably as some other products and stays in place all day long. I find it blends easily with my foundation and is easiest to apply with fingers or the tip of my miracle complexion sponge (I don't find a brush works well at all).
I would definitely recommend this to others with dark under eye circles that need covering as it does a nice job and is much more affordable than other high end concealers that I have heard this compared to. I will definitely repurchase in the future.
Tips: Use a miracle complexion sponge or beauty blender to blend this concealer seamlessly in with your foundation.
