I got this in the recent vault, mostly because my other eyebrow pencil has found a place in the bin finally.....sad face! I took the opportunity to get this because it only cost me some points on BR. Can't complain at that! I got the colour soft brown which is most matched to my natural hair and brow colour.
The pencil is dual ended with a spoolie brush on one end and the pencil at the other end, both with plastic lids to protect them. Me personally, I would have preferred all pencil rather than only half a one and a spoolie. I tend to go through my eyebrow pencils fast so this would be half the time. I do admit the spoolie is not harsh on my brows or skin and keeps any stray hairs in their place. It helps make them look more natural too by brushing them up and out, maximizing the appearance of them. The pencil is sharp and easy to use. I do find that the lead is very soft and crumbly, almost like soft oil pastel.
The pencil is very dark for a 'soft' brown description but lucky for me I like bold. Because of how crumbly it is, I have to sharpen it twice in one application!! This is such a waste of product and this is with minimal pressure on the lead!
It does stay on all day which makes my heart happy but the fact that it's so soft and only half a pencil would prevent me from repurchase. I have other pencils I love more, but I am glad I found out for myself first hand.
I bought this from The Warehouse because they had a good special on and I liked that it came with an eyebrow brush attached to the lid - 2 products in one is always a bonus! At first I was impresed. I found it easy to use and the colour matched my natural brows well. After the first use it went blunt though and it didn't sharpen well. After sharpening I would have to push quite firmly to get a bold enough line which would either cause the tip to go blunt or crumble off. Not ideal! I ended up having to sharpen it every single use so went through it very quick. I'd rather spend more money on a product that lasts longer and gets a cleaner line.
