I was blown away with how decent these cream eyeshadows were! Personally Im not a fan of the MAC paint pots as they always crease on my oily lids, and these are a perfect replacement. My fave colour is pomegranate punk, its such an awesome rusty cranberry red!

Tips: You can often pick them up during 30% off Maybelline sales at Priceline and Target which makes them super affordable :D
This product is awesome! I have to admit I was a little put off by the name at first but after using it, I can’t recommend enough! Being a crème eyeshadow, it’s nice and super easy and quick to apply. It is really suited to dramatic looks, giving your eyes lots of definition and colour. The only downside I have found is that they do tend to dry up quicker than other brands.
I have this in breaking bronze and its perfect. Great pigmentation, great size pot ,does exactly what it says on the tin. Ive never used MAC paintpot, but hear its an affordable 'copy' of that it, i will have to get one of those if its as good as this Maybelline product. Maybelline has done it again!
I love the packaging - it's standard but easy to use and has a large enough surface area to dip a brush or finger in there. It's a great dupe for MAC and there are a range of colours. It is a creamy texture and blends like a dream. It is great for use as a base to help powder eyeshadows stay on better and also works well on its own.
I can't remember where or how I got my pot of 'Tough as Taupe' but I never forget it's in my drawers. It is an insanely flattering shade, even on my deathly pale complexion. It is a thick viscosity and a little bit goes a long way so a light touch is better than a heavy hand. The name, color tattoo, is not hyperbolic as this stuff sticks like ink. I use it as a base for a simple smokey eye, with more shimmery powder eye-shadow or highlighter applied over it. I have blue/gray eyes so this dark brown hue makes them pop.
Tips: Apply lightly and blend- a little goes a long way.
I dont often wear cream shadows as I have heavily hooded eyes and they tend to crease. However I didnt find that to be an issue with theese. They apply well with a brush or finger and I typically use mine as a base atm under other pinkier shades although it's a great stand alone shade. So far there has been no sign of the product drying out in the pottle either! I'd be interested to try more colours.
Tips: Use as an eyeshadow base or as a colour liner!
I have one of the chocolate brown shades and I use it as a 'one and done' eyeshadow. I use my finger to apply it, the texture is creamy and I just pat it over my whole lid and blend the edges with a clean finger before it dries down. It doesn't take too long to dry and I found it doesn't crease on my hooded eyes until many hours later. In saying this, it doesn't stand out to me in my collection and I often end up using a Colourpop Super Shock or Stila liquid eyeshadow over this.
If you love the look of eyeshadow but don’t have the time or know how them these pots are perfect. I got the purply shade and just use my finger to apply it. While it does fade during the day you may get longer wear with a shadow primer. I wear this on the weekend when I just want something quick and it gives a nice pop of colour to an otherwise bare face. There is a fairly decent shade range and at $17 full price they’re great value for money. You need the tiniest amount to cover the lid so each pot will last for ages. I definitely plan on purchasing more shades.
Love this shadow for a quick and easy neutral every day look - They blend easily with both brushes and your fingers! I dont have much time for the bright colours, I bought the aqua one to try and It was just a bit crazy for me, wouldnt mind the purple one though.
Tips: The neutral colours are great for bases, powder shadows blend easily over top and it gives you a little bit of extra staying power!
This make your eyes look like you've been slaving away blending for hours!! I always get complemented on my eye shadow when I wear this, little do they know it's taken about 30 seconds.
I have Bad to the Bronze which is a great everyday colour for me. I put a small amount on with my finger then blend with a brush. I think it pays to do one eye at a time because it does set quite fast.
If I had one bad thing to say about this product it would be that it seems quite dry? It doesn't really smooth on. Perhaps I've got an old one. I just wish it had a bit more of creamy consistency, especially as it for the eye area.
Overall I think it's a good staple for a make-up collection and especially good for people who are perhaps novices at eye shadow.
