This is beautiful if applied right because once it is on your skin it doesn't blend all that well but I use a dual fibre brush and take it on the brush from the stick and then dispurse on the skin and it gives such a beautiful wet look not glittery at all
This was a random hand-me-down from my sister who had brought it then realised she didn't want it as she has more 'professional palettes'. This is a secret gem in my makeup bag. It is so easy to apply and convenient and I often use a beauty blender to blend this into my cheekbones (but using my finger when I don't have a beauty blender also does the trick). Its really great for everyday use.
It lasts the whole day and doesn't come off. Although it does take a bit of work when blending I find this a small issue as I love the way it looks and love that it lasts all day. I have olive shade skin and find that this suits it very well, it is a versatile highlighter for sure.
Tips: Use a beauty blender rather than a powder highlighter brush to apply this easier. You can also use your finger to blend this as well, this makes it easy to keep in my purse as I don't need a makeup brush with me at all times.
I had one of these in my on set make up kit when I was doing a lot of film. I really liked the look it created and how easy it was to use.
To look at, it's like a massive lip balm for the skin. The packaging works with Maybelline's branding and a highlighter.
In terms of using it, the pigmentation is good and it applies easily to the skin. It's probably easier to go in to heavy with this compared to with a brush and you need to make sure your foundation is set first. But I found it always worked just right for me.
When I'm through all my highlighters, I would look at getting this again.
Love this product. It's easy to apply and secure in its packaging. Good application of highlighter. I tend to use it and then blend slightly with a finger, especially when it gets low, as its difficult to apply straight from the stick then.
I absolutely love this, especially for something on the cheaper side. I've found myself reaching for this sometimes more than I would my higher end highlighters. I find this glides on really well, it isn't dry or crumbly like some other stick formulas can be. I have this one in the pinky sort of shade and really love it. Sometimes I use it under my foundation and other times I use it on time (sometimes both if I am feeling extra). For applying it over top of my foundation I rub the stick on a stippling brush and then stipple it on to my face so that I don't disrupt the foundation underneath, that's the best technique I've found so far anyway! For the price point this is really amazing. Really pigmented and a little really does go a long way with this one.
While it is not one of my favourite highlighters, it is very convenient and easy to use. It is a well-pigmented and pretty highlighter, but I do prefer powders overall. However, this one is just so convenient and easy to carry around to use as a touch-up throughout the day. The one thing with sticks are they can be quite tricky to apply an ideal amount to cheekbones so can come off a little heavy sometimes and are not as buildable as a powder highlight. Still, would definitely rercommend this as a convenient addition for an on-the-go makeup product.
I’ve been wanting to give this a go for ages and I’m so glad I purchased.
I am a big fan of a natural looking highlight and I feel this product is definitely a good way to achieve this.
Beautiful colour for my pale skin too.
I find this product sits well on my 30+ skin and doesn’t settle into my fine lines.
Tips: Apply to the back of your hand first and then use your finger to dab the product on to the top of the cheek bones and Cupid’s bow. Warming the product up on your hand first makes for a smoother application.
Apply to the areas you want to highlight under foundation to give a natural glow to the skin. I apply with my fingertips, then apply foundation with a sponge in a dabbing motion so as not to disturb the highlight.
Apply a powder highlight over the top if you want a more intense highlight.
I was surprised to find this product so highly recommended as I found it really difficult to blend. Once applied it doesn’t budge! I find powder highlighters easier to blend and more natural looking
Tips: Try a powder highlighter instead for better results
