Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Review

Not fussed on this product. I know that many people love it but for me I found it just sat on top of my face instead of blending in. One plus I found was that the colour matched well, I would probably only recommend this if someone needed a last minute foundation.

I bought the Fit Me dewy + smooth because all of the reviews on youtube and they had a shade light enough for my skin and usually it's hard to get drug store foundation to match my skin. I'm 110 porcelain, and I loved it when I first applied it then after awhile, my face became very oily, very quick. So after blotting all day, and then washing my face, the next morning I had a few bumps pop up. So, I went and bought the Fit Me matte + poreless 110 porcelain, right off the bat I noticed the matte foundation was almost a shade lighter than the dewy, which was fine because i thought the dewy 110 could have been lighter, but they are both advertised the same shade, number and etc.. So i don't understand? Formulation maybe? But I found the matte to work much better on my type of skin because i wasn't an oily mess in a few hours. I love how it's medium coverage and looks like my natural skin. It's a satin finish, would def buy again, just hope the color thing can be explained at some point.

I picked this up a few months ago in Pak n Save when I had forgotten my usual foundation & needed something urgently... I didn't really expect great things to be honest! However Maybelline have given me my holy grail of 'cheap' foundations! I just wish I had found this sooner!!!!

I have the Matte & Poreless formula. This is the first Matte foundation I have actually tried & I'm converted... I will forever stick to Mattes now!

It comes in a glass bottle with a screw top lid - the neck to the bottle is a little small, the formula is runny enough that it pours out onto my brush easily enough but I am concerned about how I'm going to get the last few applications out....

The coverage isn't full but is a little better than medium. I like it this way as if I feel the need to apply full coverage I can do this with bronzer/concealer/highlighter....

Along with a pore reducing primer I feel this actually does help reduce the look of my open pores.

It lasts well during the day as long as I don't touch my face too much.

Washing off is easy. It comes off with cleanser/Micellar water/ removal balm just as well as any other.

This foundation is marketed towards dry skin, they've now re-branded it as the 'Dewy & Smooth' Fit Me which clearly supports that it is aimed at dry skin. I have dry skin and could not make this work for the life of me.

It has a runny formula with quite a light coverage, which I don't mind at all. I was hoping it would be similar to a glowy BB cream on the skin and it did look nice and dewy when first applied but an hour later it would start going down hill. It would break up on my skin, start looking patchy and every single shade oxidised and turned super orange (for reasons unknown I purchased 4 different shades at a big bucket sale, so I had a few to test).

The worst part of all was that I would already be looking like an orange blotchy mess, but it then slapped on the grease! It takes a lot for me to look oily, but this foundation managed it every single time, primer or no primer, powder or no powder, I was shining from every pore on my face. I held on to these foundations for a year, pulling them out every now and then with renewed hope, but I recently gave up the fight! There's no helping this foundation mixed with my face.

I love the fit me range! I got given it to me so i tried it out and its just the right type of fondation for my skin. The colour i have is too dark for me but i only apply a little bit so it doesnt make a big difference. I have both oily and dry skin depeneding in what areas but i think its perfect for dry skin although it can get oily and greesy during the day.

I bought a bottle of this as I knew I would need a new foundation soon, and I wanted to try something that had just came on to the market. I can't say I was too pleased with this as it made me look shiny and oily. The coverage wasn't the best which made me use more, and eventually I ended up with a face that looked some what dirty. I guess that is why they came out with the 'fit me' range that I am yet to try :)

I have only been using Fit Me for a week. Today my face had patches of red due to my allergies with hayfever. I applied a very light application with a beauty blender as I only wanted to hide the redness but not look like I was wearing a lot of makeup. This foundation did an amazing job. All my redness was gone and yet you couldn't tell I was wearing foundation at all. It works well with my skin and I have a combination of oily, dry and normal. I will definitely be trialing other products from this brand.

Absoloutely love the Maybelline Fit Me range. Usually use the Classic Ivory but I managed to pick up the wrong colour the other day yet it still suited my skin perfectly. Applies flawlessly and stays on all day with minimal smudging. The only downside is the greasyness i get if i apply with my finger. When paired with a good moisterizer and primer, my skin doesn't get all itchy and flaky like other foundations.

Don't like the bottle, feels too greasy and makes me look shiny, lucky i was given my bottle so i didnt waste money buying it!

I take a long time to choose what foundation to use for myself as I don't want to get one that clashes with my skin, Fit me doesn't do that! Its a great foundation that is so affordable! It glides on nice on your face, doesn't make it look shiny or orange & has a great coverage! Only negative side is it doesn't have a pump and I always over pour how much foundation I need!
