Tips: use the powder with it
I was given this foundation and found that it really does "fit" me, skin colour wise. It comes in a pretty unique rectangular bottle, which is easy to use and fits nicely into any makeup collection. It also looks quite professional because of it's simplicity. The product itself is one of my favourite foundations, possibly because it truly blends well into my skin and I don't really look like I've worn any foundation at all! Offers light coverage, I have naturally quite smooth skin, this is probably not the product to go for if you want heavier coverage. Unlike many foundations, I find that this product does not irritate my skin (not sure why, it's not organic or anything), it is light so you don't feel like you're wearing it at all!
Tips: Exfoliate and prime before using to keep your skin looking smooth and not flaky. Use a foundation brush to apply it to avoid over usage
So if you couldn't guess by my name I'm indian. I have trouble finding lower end brands that make foundation that match my skin perfectly.
Fit me maybe the first and only foundations that suit my skin tone completely.
The packaging is super sleek, though I wish it had a pump as I end up pouring way too much out on the back of my hand.
A little goes a long way, the coverage is medium to full depending how much you use. This foundation gives you a natural glow look.
The only down side is if you have oily skin you will need to touch up your makeup with powder as it can make your skin look even more oily.
Tips: Carry a pressed powder with you. Not suitable for hot weather.
I brought this to see what the hype was about and also I thought that the whole look of the Fit Me range was very chic and cute.
Design wise I think the Fit Me foundation in it's glass bottle and sleek black lip that screws on and off easily is super chic and looks cute on my vanity. The formula as well is great being a medium coverage type of foundation this liquid is perfect to allow you to get it onto your skin and blend without it instantly drying or being to wet that it drips and makes a mess on your face. I used it with a beauty blender that I dampen first to prevent too much of the liquid foundation to be soaked back up into the sponge and also the dampness helps the foundation find its place on my dry skin.
However the downside is that shade 115 which I can see as being the lightest in the foundation range is far too orange for my face it just doesn't match my skin tone at all and makes my face look very obviously done up and slighty oompa lumpa looking. Not perfect flawlessness that I like so for that reason alone as I genuinely like the whole concept and the long wear of this foundation, it never smudged on my clothes or moved around my face during the day, but as this is the lightest shade I have found then I will have to toss it and not re-purchase it which is same as I really like it sitting on my vanity.
This foundation looks extremely natural (while still having medium coverage), it is very oily so you MUST set it with a powder or your make up will be sliding off your face. People with oily skin must set T-zone with powder after using this or you will look like a disco ball. Also make sure to use a good primer to prolong the wear.
Tips: Apply with a sponge for even coverage and to have less product on your face (less oilyness!)
I really enjoy using fit me. I Only need about small amount to cover my whole face and it does look really natural. Too much and it can start to look a bit oily but powder over the top fixes it nicely. It doesn't feel thick on the skin. I feel this product is really great value for the price you pay it's not at all expensive. I use foundation on the weekends so the bottle has lates me a good 3 months if not longer. I have recommended this product to a friend
Tried this a few days ago as i had ran out of my everyday foundation and needed something i already owned. i have oily skin after a few hours and even with primer and powder it still slipped off + the colour i had was just a tad too dark. Probably wont be buying again
Perhaps a year ago when I wasn't hugely makeup adept, this was the only foundation I would use and I really liked it. I always wear it with the matching powder. I recently tried it again and it was actually awful! I never used to wear it with a primer, but I tried it with the bare minerals original primer and the foundation oxidised a lot, was an odd texture, and did not look natural at all. It also became very shiny after a couple of hours and my pores became very visible. It wore off around my t-zone a bit also. Perhaps my skin has changed since, but I also used to apply it with a sponge, whereas now I use a brush. It is just a very average foundation. If you have oily, not yellow toned skin, visible pores, and plan on wearing for a longer period of time, would not recommend.
I first used the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation when i was about 15, back then i found it to be good for my everyday wear to school, However i didn't really mind if it faded/came off throughout the day. I decided to give it another go recently and i found it was nice and glowy and it sat well on my dry/normal skin however the coverage was minimal. It didn't last very long which is why i would not use this product very often. Overall i think if you prefer a lighter coverage and have dry/normal skin this foundation would work as it gives a nice natural look but begins to fade after around 4 hours.
These foundations I find have a slight orangey tone. It is unpleasant under certain lights. However the coverage itself had as much coverage as you would get for the price. It got rid of redness but still kept those red blemishes and didn't dim them out very well. Its a very thin texture which takes a lot on the beauty blender to blend it in to your skin so it doesn't look like its caked on.
I find that it is very oil so you must apply powder over the top to even it out. By the end of the day foundation had gotten slightly runny by my nose and became blotchy in places. So I wouldn't recommend wearing it on a a sunny hot day, the foundation will not stay.
