I bought the Fit Me dewy + smooth because all of the reviews on youtube and they had a shade light enough for my skin and usually it's hard to get drug store foundation to match my skin. I'm 110 porcelain, and I loved it when I first applied it then after awhile, my face became very oily, very quick. So after blotting all day, and then washing my face, the next morning I had a few bumps pop up. So, I went and bought the Fit Me matte + poreless 110 porcelain, right off the bat I noticed the matte foundation was almost a shade lighter than the dewy, which was fine because i thought the dewy 110 could have been lighter, but they are both advertised the same shade, number and etc.. So i don't understand? Formulation maybe? But I found the matte to work much better on my type of skin because i wasn't an oily mess in a few hours. I love how it's medium coverage and looks like my natural skin. It's a satin finish, would def buy again, just hope the color thing can be explained at some point.

Reviews
Not fussed on this product. I know that many people love it but for me I found it just sat on top of my face instead of blending in. One plus I found was that the colour matched well, I would probably only recommend this if someone needed a last minute foundation.
Great foundation for teens or beginners, not full coverage enough for me even with lawyers. Ended up giving all the shades I bought in this product to my little sister. I didn't like how the product emphasised imperfections on my combination skin. Tried using this product this a beauty blender and brushes and it blends a lot nicer with the beauty blender.
I have combination skin that is oily in my t zone but dry in my cheeks. I have found that this foundation gives me great coverage that lasts all day and works for my skin type. It doesn't dry out my skin or go cakey, and it doesn't make my t zone look oily and sticky. I love how fresh and light it feels on your skins for doesn't feel heavy. It gives a dewy finish, but I set mine with powder. It gives your skin a flawless look. I do also use concealer on my acne scars, but it does have high coverage, so if your skin is pretty good you probably wouldn't need concealer.
This foundation is really easy to apply. I use a stipple brush and it is easy to blend, doesn't dry blotchy. The consistency is on the thin side, but at the same time it still gives you high coverage. It dries nicely, and you don't have to wait ages for it to dry either.
I usually like to have a pump or a squeezy lid on my foundations so it is easy to remove out of the bottle and apply. This is purely because I don't like mess. But in saying that, have gotten used to this bottle, and because the foundation has quite a thin consistency I don't think a pump would probably work.
There is a good colour range for this foundation. I have light-medium skin tone and I use the shade 115. The foundation has more of a pink undertone, and I have warm undertones, but the shade still matches my skin tone well.
Overall, I really like this foundation and use it everyday during the week. It is affordable and I would definitely purchase it again. I think it would work well on both oily and dry skin. If you gave oily skin you would definitely need to set it with powder.
Tips: shake well before using as the formula tend to split when left sitting
The coverage of this foundation is lovely but through out the day it goes very oily on my skin. I switched to the matte and poreless and its great.
I needed a cheaper alternative so I was matched to my perfect shade of Maybelline Fit Me and opted for the dewy option. I have dry flaky skin so I prefer to have a dewy appearance. I find that the dewy look makes my skin appear as it glows and definitely less dry. The bottle actually annoys me more than it should. It has no pump to dispel the foundation so I have to make a mess by tipping it on to my hand. The formula is rather thin for my liking so it runs off my hand easily when I am applying.
I apply mine with the RT foundation brush which gets in to the crevices best for me. I wipe my palms over my entire face to get rid of brush marks. The coverage is mediocre at best. It promised full coverage but it was medium! I found myself having to apply concealer just to get the best coverage possible.
Three hours in and my skin feels very dry! I check my face and all I see is patches of foundation that have clung to my dry patches! I see a powdery residue that is supposed to be a dewy appearance. I thought this maybe the way I applied it so used it with primer and with a finishing powder but still the same result every time. There was no dewy glow at all just a dull powder like look.
By the time lunch time comes around I find myself having to reapply some foundation to maintain the coverage. It doesn't have much stay power even with loose powder. I was assured that this would be the best alternative to my normal foundation but really all it did was make my skin worse. I spent two weeks nursing it back to semi-moisturised. As a result of using this I broke out in to areas of acne. My skin hadn't ever reacted to a foundation like that.
I am highly disappointed in this product. I have seen and heard many great things but I am sorry to say that it failed to impress me. It left me in worse shape than before so I think I would rather spend the extra $20 and get my holy grail. Thanks but no thanks!
Tips: Use a loose powder over the top to prolong the stay power. This is perhaps better suited for someone with oily skin despite the dewy finish.
Having heard rave reviews about this product was really looking forward to seeing if it lived up to the hype. While the coverage was okay I did find that the foundation just looked dried out on my skin after a while (I wear a primer and have an oily T-zone!) I wouldn't purchase this again as I just felt it didn't sit or look right on my skin - in saying that LOVE their concealer!!
I tried this as an in between foundation and at the time I wanted to give a cheaper product a go.
The results: The colour I selected was fine. The finish and feel on my skin wasn't for me. I did find when I used it under a mineral powder the finish was a bit more my style. The coverage wasnt the best and it didn't seem to last long. I noticed I did get a oily look part way through the day.
I gifted it to my niece who was very happy. She users this brand often. I think it suits her age group. Excellent for teens and early twenties. With me being late thirties I need something that suits aging skin more.
Great low price.
I'm not 100% sure that I really like this foundation for a few reasons. Firstly, the packaging isn't great, and it is so easy to pour out way too much product as there is no pump. It doesn't have a very nice smell either, but it fades away quite soon after being applied. I also found that it doesn't give very good coverage at all, and it moved around a lot on my face and went very patchy, although this could be because I have oily skin. Its also kind of hard to apply nicely with a brush, I found that a beauty blender made it look nicer. It didn't oxidise as much as I thought it would, but it still does a little bit. Maybe it is better suited to those with drier skin? But its not really my cup of tea.
Tips: Definitely use a beauty blender or a sponge, and set with a powder or setting spray.
I picked this up a few months ago in Pak n Save when I had forgotten my usual foundation & needed something urgently... I didn't really expect great things to be honest! However Maybelline have given me my holy grail of 'cheap' foundations! I just wish I had found this sooner!!!!
I have the Matte & Poreless formula. This is the first Matte foundation I have actually tried & I'm converted... I will forever stick to Mattes now!
It comes in a glass bottle with a screw top lid - the neck to the bottle is a little small, the formula is runny enough that it pours out onto my brush easily enough but I am concerned about how I'm going to get the last few applications out....
The coverage isn't full but is a little better than medium. I like it this way as if I feel the need to apply full coverage I can do this with bronzer/concealer/highlighter....
Along with a pore reducing primer I feel this actually does help reduce the look of my open pores.
It lasts well during the day as long as I don't touch my face too much.
Washing off is easy. It comes off with cleanser/Micellar water/ removal balm just as well as any other.
