I wear this at night when I go out, its cheap enough and does the job. My friend let me use hers one time and I just had to go out and get it as well as the smooth and dewy foundation for during the day :) Great range of colours and blends in nicely.

This is my favourite drugstore foundation! I love the way it applies and lasts all day when I am at work wearing my glasses. The colour range is great and with being matte is doesn't make my skin dry. 100% recommend trying this out!
I love this drugstore foundation!
I find it lasts really well and is great on my combination skin. I love the matte finish and it hold up well when applying powder over top.
I use the shade 120 which is a wee bit on the darker side for me but is manageable. I wouldn't mind using the 110 or 112 shade but they seem to be quite hard to find in NZ.
It's a great, full coverage foundation and you can use as little or as much as you like without it looking to cakey.
I do wish that it had a pump but I can make do with the screw lid. It applies well with both a brush and a sponge.
Tips: Be careful when pouring, it comes out fast and a little goes a long way.
I picked this up a little while ago because it was on sale and I had heard lots of good things about it and seen so many girls raving about it on MUO. This has quickly become my every day foundation (after swapping from NARS sheer glow). I was so suprised that I loved the matte finish after using dewy foundations for so long. I was blown away with the coverage of this foundation and how little product I needed to apply. The colour is pretty much spot on for me too. The only thing I would say is that this isn't poreless (not for me anyway). This is also really easy to build up, apply it with a beauty blender for a sheerer coverage, or with a brush for a fuller coverage. I would preferr a pump on the top rather than the current lid (having to pour product out), but for the price I can't really complain! I'll be repurchasing this for sure.
Tips: Be careful when tipping it out as lots can pour out at once.
Maybelline Matte + Poreless Foundation has the best coverage. Every morning I put my face on I fall more and more in love with this foundation. The coverage over my redness is outstanding! I don't use a primer, only moisturise. It stays on all day and it does not cause me to have any break outs.
I apply it a little over over my jaw line and use a translucent powder to help blend it out to look completely natural. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't dry it out or become oily or patchy like others I have used in the past.
If you want full coverage absolutely have this in your makeup bag. It's my mask, my transformation every morning and my holy grail.
Tips: If you don't use a primer use a moisturiser always under and prior to using any foundations. It evens out and smooths over perfectly.
For someone with very oily skin and acne prone skin I was pleasantly happy! I have very oily skin and this was an amazing foundation for my skin type as well as having acne prone skin which means my skin breaks out quite easily and to basically anything. This kept my face neutral and quite matte throughout the day. When I first applied it, it was quite matte and definitely looked like I had foundation on but after wearing it for awhile, it started to set and seem a bit more natural - not sure if it was because of the oils from my face coming through or what but it definitely looked really nice. I use a sponge to apply this and the finish is just great. I haven't used it with a brush yet but I don't think there would be an issue since it blends quite well and doesn't dry down immediately. It does oxidise a bit however so I would recommend swatching it in person first on just buy a shade lower.
I wasn't expecting too much on this product because I have tried other foundations with the same price but the effect weren't great. This one is different. It was very easy to apply with any tools. It is also buildable so if you're not contented with the 1st layer, you can always add another layer. It is comfortable on my skin. After 6 hours, I oiled up but the foundation was still great after blotting. It's very humid in the place where I'm at so I already expected that. The only part where the foundation was ruined were on the sides of my nose and under my lips. Check my full review @ http://www.diaryofaiko.com/2018/02/review-maybelline-new-york-fit-me-matte.html
Tips: The coverage isn't full so if you have many imperfections, it is recommended to apply a tinted primer, bb cream or cc cream under it.
I love this stuff! Great Matt coverage which is buildable so you can have a lighter coverage for day but more coverage for going out looks. Stays pretty matt for a long day at work but not super convinced it makes me look poreless. I was initially hesitant to buy because I hate not being able to shade test and can’t find anywhere with maybelline testers but when I saw it on sale for 40% off at supermarket thought I’d give it a try in the palest shade. Perfect match! The only thing I hate is the bottle I really wish it had a pump applicator not just pour! Will still buy again!
Tips: Use beauty blender
I'm pale. Quite pale and growing up the only foundation available to me was Revlon Colorstay in Ivory. But huzzah there is way more shade range these days thanks to the internet. As NZ is often overlooked in the full shade ranges.
Enter Maybelline M&P. I had shade 110 - the fairest available in NZ. It was OK, but I did sometimes wonder if it was too dark. But thanks to Arna Alayne on YouTube I became aware of shade 102.... ooooooh
It took hours to find an online store that would ship to NZ and a combination of Amazon and YouShop and I have two bottles of $5.50USD in shade 102. (which prob all up cost me like $40NZD ....)
Anyway, I find this foundation is close to the flawless porcelain finish that I desire, and matched with a high quality powder looks great. It is not full coverage but pretty good. I'm a normal skin type - was oily younger and getting dryer with age.
I successfully use either brush or sponge to apply.
Tips: I think this would be great for oily skin types but prob not great for very dry.
Also be aware that the Dewy finish version of this foundation has quite different shades with the same numbers.
I had heard that this particular matte foundation wasn't that great (just through friends ands friends of friends), but because I love matte foundation and have tried a few that have been suggested to me and They have failed,I decided to try this one,and omg I LOVE this, it's so good on my skin and it doesn't irritate me either. It's not cakey and I wore it for a few hours one day without setting spray and it was still fine when I got home :) I find it blends really well also. It is pricier then some I've used but it's my #1 foundation at the moment :)
Tips: If you know your colour,it's cheaper to buy online
