Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

I love this mascara. Used this for years when I first started wearing makeup. I love because I found it to be much darker compared to other mascaras. It gives great length. The only thing I didn't like is that it can be slightly clumpy if you don't go over your lashes with the brush enough! But all in all good value for money and a great product!

Why is this product such a classic? I've tried it a few times but had nothing but trouble. The product claims to be clump free but I definitely had trouble with it clumping. On the upside it did apply a nice thick coat to my lashes but over all I think there are better mascara's out there now that surpass the quality of this one. Regardless of its large number of fans it's safe to say I won't ever be repurchasing this one. Sorry Maybelline.

This is a great mascara I don't want to throw it away.... Help I'll have to splurge and buy another one, I don't know how long its been in my beauty cabinet... I used to love waterproof mascaras as I didn't like panda eyes at the end of the night but this is such a good mascara for a good price it lasts the distance I've never had smudges or panda eyes. It doesn't clump it applies well looks lovely. Just doesn't give quite as much lash volume as I'd like but hey its worth way more then I paid great quality...

I love Maybelline mascaras and this was my favourite back in the 90s. I even remember my mum using it back in the 1970s. I did try it again recently just because it is such a classic, and for those retro vibes, but I was actually pretty disappointed.

As far as what I would have expected of a mascara back in the day, its fine. Back then I would have just expected something that coloured my lashes but nowadays I expect (and need) more! It doesn't really lengthen, thicken or curl, all of which my puny lashes need. So sadly, I'll be leaving this one in the past where it belongs.

Perhaps I have been very unlucky but I’ve purchased twice now and both times it hasn’t lasted long and looks like it has already dried out. I’m not sure if maybe that’s the texture it’s meant to be? But when I have used it, it seems to smudge even though it’s so hard to remove!

I love this mascara, the brush makes application easy and applies a good amount of product. I find it defines and spreads my lashes out nicely with little clumping. It gives great volume and lengthens fantastically. For the price this is a must have in your beauty bag! Will repurchase over and over again as is so affordable and reliable!

I have the mascara with the smaller, spikier tip on the applicator - can't seem to find it on here to review.

It is possibly the best mascara I have ever used! the small applicator makes it so easy to get right in to my eyelashes without getting all over my eyelids. It defines my lashes and makes them look super long - I love love love it!

It is very reasonably priced too at around $17 from Farmers.

I found this mascara very easy to apply and it made both my top and bottom lashes stand out more. It stays on for the entire day and doesn't smudge at all. It separates my lashes and I was also impressed at how the mascara doesn't go 'clumpy' and I have been using it regularly for around 5 months. I will definitely repurchase this, as it is very affordable and is very easy to use.

I used this mascara for years, I remember one day seeing an ad that said this is what makeup artists recommend, so it had to be good, right? Don't believe everything you read, folks!

The brush on this mascara is quite small, which I like, but the bristles are really far apart so it just clumps your lashes together. The wet formula is pretty average, there's not a whole lot of volumising action either and it smudged under my eyes every single time I wore it...I had permanent panda eyes and nobody ever said anything, haha!

It's not horrible, but it really does nothing for your lashes. The only time I'd use it again is if I was on a desert island and this was the only mascara available to me.
