Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Review

I tried this on recommendation from a friend and it did not dissapoint! Even the unwaterproof version ildoesnt budge at all. So if you looking for a transfr resistant mascara this is the one. Not to mention the brush is excellent and doesnt clump at all.

I received this product last week after ordering online for ridiculously cheap, ($11) which i think is really reasonable for mascara. This stuff is amazing! For the first few uses i found it too wet and too much product on the brush but after a few uses and running a spoolie through my lashes they are so thick and voluminous, they nearly touch my eyebrows and my lashes are normally so short! The brush is amazing, with the short and long bristles it grabs even the shortest of lashes. I will definitely be repurchasing, this is my new found holy grail.

I don't know why this product didn't work for me — it's had so many phenomenal reviews I thought for sure this would be a fail-safe buy! Unfortunately this mascara did none of the things it promised for me.

I found the formula too wet, but even after letting it dry before application it made my lashes clump together rather than fanning them out. I struggled to build layers of mascara whilst maintaining body and individual lash definition. In the end I actually threw this product out after 10-15 uses, because it was just ruining my lash game!

First up, I'm not a fan of the curved brushed mascaras... although they seem good in theory I do find they tend to clump at the outer edges of the lashes and need a tidy up afterwards. Maybe I'm not particularly adept at applying them. Practise may make perfect.

I do like this mascara though, it's good at separating and defining the lashes, and usually I don't bother with a second coat, I do find this one does do a good job of making the lashes look fuller with a second brush over.

I'll purchase again.

Somehow I keep repurchasing this and sometimes I'm not sure why. The formula is wet and it gets all over my hooded lids. I curse, I swear and I wear it and buy it again.

That said, I love the small curve for getting right to the base of my lashes and then the fan side for adding some ooomph. Even works well with lash plumpers such as the Lancome Cils Booster and gives a false lash effect which I just love because falsies don't love me.

I have this in brownish-black for a more natural look, but I wish it leant more towards brown.

This mascara was all I used once it came out. It made my lashes so long and voluminous. After a few uses I did start to see that it clump my lashes together, however it still did it's job.

I bought this while hunting for a really nice washable mascara. I love washable and tubing formulas because they are so easy to clean off - using my natio face wash in the shower, all my makeup comes off in one go. The first time I applied this mascara I thought - WOW!

Pros: - Lengthens and fills out lashes beautifully - Really do get that fan effect - Can build it up thicker for dramatic evening eyes - No clumping! - Stays put. No smudging. Formula does not run if gets wet in the rain. (another bonus for using tubing and washable formulas, you don't get panda eyes!) - Washes off easily with gentle face wash and water.

Cons: - If you prefer to use makeup remover, then expect some black smudging. This will wash off using warm water and your face wash though. Its just the formula. - Otherwise, can't think of any con.

Overall - HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This product if just as good, if not better, than high end mascaras. Found my HG mascara!

I adore this mascara! I've tried a few mascaras from Maybelline and I was never a fan of the more shiny finish from their other mascaras. I needed to buy a waterproof one for my wedding and heard many great things about this so I bought myself one to try. I’m loving it until now. I have straight and stubborn asian lashes but this keeps my lashes curled even after application (I’ve tried up to 3 coats). It has a more natural finish up to two coats provided you don’t apply excessively and it does a good job of fanning my lashes. Most importantly, it doesn’t smudge or flake AT ALL which is amazing. I don’t apply to my lower lashes though so I won’t be able to comment in that area.

The only thing is, it being waterproof also means it’s not so easy to take off. I apply a mascara remover (oil) from Heroine Make and wait a few seconds before pressing with a makeup wipe or washing it off. It’s the same for most waterproof mascaras and I’ve had a harder time with other brands.
