I have used this powder to set my foundation twice (As in I have purchased the product twice) And both times it has just done the trick. I'm not here or there about the product its not terrible or anything it just doesn't stand out in any way.

This powder is so good! Maybelline Matte Maker truly does what it says in its name. As well as mattifying the skin, this powder controls oil throughout the day and helps to set your makeup. It also doesn't cake on the skin. This is one of the only powders I've found that can stop mascara transferring onto my oily eyelids. The other powder being Maybelline fit me powder. The lightest shade is actually light enough for my extremely pale skin which is so difficult to find so I'm pretty chuffed with this product!
Tips: Don't have too much powder on the brush to avoid caking.
I have bought this powder twice now, its cheap and does such a great job. I use it to set my foundation, its easy to use on either a brush (quick) or on a sponge. It makes my skin look flawless when I'm wearing it and lasts all day. Doesnt make me look cakey at all which is great in a powder, and it lasts so long as you only need a little bit. definitely worth having in your makeup bag/draw great to have on the go in your bag for a quick touch up if needed. I have recommended this to friends and they were just as happy with it as I am. Well worth the $15 I pay for it when I buy it.
Tips: Give it a go.
I purchased this to set my BB cream and I must say it does the job. I feel it clings a bit to my dry patches but then that's a problem with my skin rather than the formula!
Normally during the day I get a bit of shine going on within the T-zone. While this doesn't completely negate that it does really go some way to keeping my skin looking natural and flawless.
Even when it sticks to my dry patches from a foot or two away it still looks good! Great colour match for me in the lightest shade. I can see this becoming super popular in summer when i don't want to wear a full face of makeup but still need something to set the BB cream.
Would I repurchase? Yes most likely. It goes really well with the Maybelline BB cream and i feel that for summer this combination of products will be fantastic!
I have what seems like the darkest shade for this product line which is 50 Sun Beige. I bought this at Uncle Bills on sale for around $5 or $6 just to try out not expecting anything good but since it was a Maybelline product I was dead wrong. I love this powder to set my foundation or BB cream depending on what I am doing for the day and the amount of coverage I want. Because of my oily skin I sometimes powder my bare face to stop it looking shiny and gross.
This completely mattes out my skin like I hoped it would and is a nice light powder. I just use a kabuki brush or any other powder brush depending on whatever is clean and useable.
Definitely one of my favourite powders and lasts for quite sometime. The thin packaging makes it very easy to take around for touch ups if necessary. Will be repurchasing.
Tips: I find that there isn't much colour in the powder itself so there is no worry about colour matching.
Maybelline Matte Maker is absolutely amazing for people who suffer from oily skin like myself....I use this to set my liquid foundation and absolutely love it. It feels very light on my skin and I don't need a lot to cover my whole face. i use the shade 30 natural beige and it blends so perfectly on my face and neck and doesn't make me look like I have a caked face. It also keeps the oily shine away! Hands down the best powder I have had in along time and also very cheap! Highly recommend!!!
Tips: use a thin lizzy brush
I bought this because I needed a pressed powder in a shade that matched me when I was fake tanned and this worked well. It's not the best powder I've used but it definitely does the job, I like how it comes in more yellow tones shades and it's not overly powdery. Although this is the only powder I've found that has made me more oily during the day if I wear it for more than a few hours; it's nothing too bad though. Also I'm not too fond of the packaging, it's quite similar to the rimmel stay matte powders and I would prefer it if it were in a compact with a mirror.
If you like the matte look then this product might be suited for you. I like the matte finish because I finish if I have a shiny finish people suggest that my face looks very oily and that’s not the impression I was to give off. I was excited to try this product. It’s does what it says it does but nothing extra. It didn’t impress me. It’s a good setting powder to have in your collection for the price.
Tips: Use a good buffering brush otherwise the powder won’t last all day
I found this on clearance years ago in Farmers and didn't really know what I was buying (those newbie days haha).
I applied this over my foundation as a finishing powder and really loved it! It soon became a product that I used daily!
It applies really smoothly and mattifies the face without making you feel heavy and cakey. I found it was easy enough to throw in my bag with a brush to use on the go, the packaging was quite robust!
I literally used this until I couldn't get anything else out of the pan, and now seeing it on here, reminds me I really need to repurchase this product!
I literally just threw this product in my bag last minute the day I left Australia on my last trip over. I had coins to burn, and a cheap pharmacy to do so in. This was all of about $7, so I figured I'd give it a try - glad I did!
My skin is oily by nature and I like to set my foundation to keep my skin matte and clear. This appealed because I was in a rush, it had matte right there in the title, I like Maybelline, and it was cheap - but it delivers.
The casing is pretty simple - a sleek black and clear circle with a screw cap and a window through which you can see the product cake. I have shade 30: natural beige.
The Maybelline Matte Maker cake is a tight pressed cake of fine milled 'foundation' looking powder. It easily transfers to brushes, and then applies nicely to my face. I find I only need a little to set and mattify a look - or refresh foundation quickly.
Apart from a faint chalky/product scent which is barely noticeable the product is odourless, and doesn't react negatively at all with my skin.
It lasts through my day and since I have been using it it has helped my foundation last longer as well.
I'm 100% happy with this and would repurchase in a heartbeat, but doubt I'll need to for ages as it barely looks touched!
