The packaging is sleek and clean looking. It is a sturdy glass bottle with a pump dispenser. I like using pump dispensers as it feels like it it keeps the foundation fresh and hygienic. The pump dispensed a good amount of product. The foundation has a medium consistency. It smoothed on really easily and evenly. It made my freckles and redness around my nose disappear. When you spread the foundation around it turns into a very fine powder finish. It didn't move around my face. which I sometimes get around my nose with some foundations. It touched up very easily, although I found it didn't need much touching up and the foundation does truly stay put. This is a fantastic foundation to give you that classic flawless matte finish.

Super stay 24hr full coverage foundation, colour true ivory. This isn't one of my favs yet unfortunately, I applied this on a daily basis with different bases as it just looked blotchy by itself . I normally put a little bit of pawpaw cream to moisturise befor applying my foundation, however with this one that just didn't sit right an it felt super oily. I had to wash my face with make up remover to try other options, the smell is actually a pleasent smell an I'll definitely keep trying to find a base that doesn't make it look uneven an blotchy. It's always good to have a back up foundation incase the one you use isn't available, like 2 of my previous ones are no longer. The consistency is pretty good it's not very runny, and I found with about 6 to 8 pumps of the product it did my whole face an neck most times. Though some of the pumps didn't go fully so sometimes you need that extra 1 or 2 pumps, if you do get two much out however it is a bit difficult to get it back in the container. So in that case there is a bit of wastage, I would possibly tell friends about this product but it's not very high on my list have list.
I have always been a lover of Maybelline foundations, they are affordable, look good, and last well. That being said, this foundation blows all my other Maybelline favourites out of the water!
24 hour full coverage is honestly an understatement. I wore this foundation on a big night to town, and like the gross girl I am, when I felt too exhausted (hungover) to put on a fresh face of makeup before I went to work the next morning, I realised I didn't need to because my foundation had stayed put from the night before! Not only that, but it then proceeded to stay put through an 8 hour work day! This stuff is incredible!
The formula is quite thick and requires a bit of blending to get a smooth look, but once it's on it really does provide a good, full coverage. I occasionally can have quite red skin that I struggle to properly conceal with foundation. However, after applying this foundation, plus a swipe of concealer, my skin has the perfect, even tone I wish it had naturally.
Overall, I was incredibly impressed with this foundation and will definitely be buying it again!
Tips: Use a beauty blender or a good stippling brush to really make sure you blend out the foundation as it can build up around the creases of your nose and eyes.
I can't believe in all the foundations I've tried over the years, I've never tried a foundation from Maybelline (caveat I've tried a BB Cream).
First off I was impressed with the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump which dispenses the product nice and cleanly. The glass allows you to see the product colour.
On application it was smooth and easy to apply. I used a kabuki brush and it applied nicely without any streaking or patching. Now at the end of the day I can see that it has lasted well with only a bit of wearing in a couple of areas ( I think I touch my face quite a bit).
I had seen online that some people found this to be an oily foundation, but for me, who tends towards a bit of oiliness through the day, it has lasted better (in my t zone) than my Lancome foundation!! (can't believe I just said that).
This is some thing I would definitely repurchase!
Tips: For a lighter finish you can apply using a makeup sponge - my faves are from Chichi and Real Techniques :)
I love the no foundation, natural look, but unfortunately I need a bit of help from the beauty counters to cover up pigmentation and the odd blemish. I generally use a cover stick and then a sheer foundation to create a natural look. This foundation promises full coverage, so I was wondering if it was going to create that 80's heavy foundation look. I was impressed with the lovely natural looking coverage and silky feel of this foundation. The colour I received was soft beige - a very good match for my skin tone. It is lightly scented and I didn't have any breakouts or skin sensitivity issues using this. I like the packaging and I love the pump - no bacteria getting transferred into unused product. From a price point this offers very good value for money. I will be using this again and will be happy to recommend to others.
Tips: A little goes a long way - apply lightly to achieve a natural look
Actually love this product, I'm glad I didn't go darker but this is 1 I would need to wear in winter just so it doesn't look lighter on my face. I found with my elf primer and then this on top I could build it up a bit not that I needed to but to try it out really. Seems to cover the red blemishes on my face which was great to see.
Well, I was super excited to be added to this trial. After all, I am a mother and a full coverage foundation with 24-hour coverage sounds like a dream come true especially with the little amount of time on your hands. I used both application tools a foundation brush and sponge and the results were the same. If you are thinking you will be able to get away with using concealer to cover breakouts (especially around those delicate times) you will not get away with it. While it did even out my skin tone it certainly didn't cover the spots like the full coverage you would expect to receive. I was also disappointed with the "superstay foundation" I found by the end of the day more spots were visible than the start, and then my partner asked what I had brushed up against to my horror I found my foundation was sitting on my shoulder, it must have happened when I did a quick rub to satisfy an itch with juggling a toddler, keys, nappy bag, purse you know how it goes (how embarrassing as I had no idea how long it was on there for!). It is safe to say the things this foundation says in its headline it doesnt stand up to the test but I like to leave with some positives so here they are. I did not have a break out of acne so it certainly did not clog my pores. It did feel light on the face, it was not heavy at all. The application was easy as it was blended well not to thick or too runny.
Thank you for allowing my to try Maybelline's Superstay 24hr Full Coverage Foundation. I don't usually wear a foundation, as I can never find the right colour match. I was very surprised by how well the colour I tried worked with my skin. It was maybe a shade lighter than I need, but will be perfect in winter. The glass pump bottle made it easy to dispense small amounts of a creamy (mid-consistency) foundation that was easy to apply, and blended well (using finger tips). I always worry that foundation will end up looking very caked, so I was pleased to see how well this covered with just a small amount of product, giving a natural look. I found it lasted fairly well during the day, but came off on tissues (hay fever!). Night-time, it needed cleansing wipes followed by a wash/scrub to remove, and despite this I still ended up with residue on my towel. Superstaying power! Price-wise, this is very economical. I'll continue to use this for special occasions when I want to look more "made-up", and while I'd be happy to recommend it to friends, I'm not sure it has converted me to an everyday foundation wearer.
If you really like a heavy coverage foundation then this is probably a good option. I haven't used many and so this was quite a new experience for me.
When I put it on I admit it did feel really heavy and matt compared to what I'm used to. Any sunspots and freckles I had were certainly covered and it was just very matt. With a full face on though it did look pretty good as my skin looked so even but you could definitely tell I was done up...not a running to the supermarket on a Saturday morning look but great for work or a night out.
The first hour or so I really did feel like I was wearing make-up but as the day progressed it got a lot more comfortable. I'd put a primer on before as I always do but the make up fairies always steal my make up in the day and so by the middle of the day this one was looking awesome. Great even coverage but not too heavy.
No weird smells with this product but the packaging is a bit 'meh'. The white lid has already started to get stained with the product.
Tips: I might mix this with a lighter foundation to see if I can get staying power but a bit less matt.
This was perhaps a shade too light for me. However I did quite like it. The bottle is nice and simple with the lid being secure enough that I could have it in my handbag and not worry about it coming off and making a mess. So far I have only applied with a sponge. The pump is great as it means you don't get too much coming out in one go. It's thick without being to thick, so doesn't run and is light on my skin. (I don't feel like I'm wearing a ton of makeup) It goes on nice and smooth and covers my imperfections great for a little while. For me this only lasts a few hours when I'm working. It seems to soak into or come off my skin. I have used with and without primer and also with and without a powder over top. It did last a little longer with a primer. I found that during the weekend or when I wasn't so physical, It lasted even longer so that was a plus. It does seem to have a faint scent. Not strong and not noticeable to me once on the skin. It did seem to dry my skin out a little, so will use a little more moisturizer to try and balance that out. Price wise for me, for the length of time it lasts, I wouldn't use it as a regular foundation. Perhaps more of a going out at night foundation, rather than for going to work.
