I found this one hard to rate because while I found it's not suitable for my skin tyoe, it could be perfect for orhers. The first application I found to be quite liquidy which surprised me. It blended easliy using just my fingers which I was happy with. However, the second time I used it, it seemed much thicker amd I used a sponge to blend. While it did give medium to full coverage, I found that it sat in my pores in all the wrong ways, making them look more obvious and it also settled in to my eye wrinkles. For those with younger skin this wouldn't be an issue. I have very oily skin and this foundation did a good job to keep that under control. It really did stay put all day without having that cakey feeling which is always a plus.

I picked this up the beauty vault along with some other items. I chose Warm sun beige. Comes in a pump bottle easy to read labelling. Consistency is smooth medium coverage does layer up well . I like to wear this as an ever day foundation. It last up to 5 hours and begins to fade off after that. I think it’s an ok . Price wise should be around the $20 mark. I would use it again but nothing out of the ordinary here to see.
I had high hopes for this foundation adds Maybelline is one of my favourite drug store brands.
I like the bottle that the foundation comes in, but that’s about it.
I tried this foundation on just my skin alone and it looked extremely cakey and dry, and sunk into the cracks and pores on my face.
I also tried this foundation with primer and setting spray and it looked very cakey still. It also started to separate after a few hours and looked really bad. I also tried using the Maybelline powder with it and it looked very dry and emphasised all of the cracks on my face.
This one just isn’t for me, sorry
I need to say that I've been using mineral powder for 14 years now so I'm a tad bias. I found the foundation easy to apply and it gave a good matte powder look finish. However, it really emphasized my fine lines and the light hairs on my chin. That can be a blessing so I can see them to remove them ;-) The foundation stayed on everywhere, except my nose. It stayed on the pores on my nose and disappeared everywhere else. It came off well in the evening with make up remover so that we good. But in reality I don't think I would purchase in the future.
Tips: blends better with fingertips. A classic make up sponge soaked up heaps & causes streaking
When applying liquid foundation I usually just use my fingers, so this was how I first tried the product (after applying a water based illuminating primer). It was much runnier than I expected - almost too runny to the point where I was worried it would drip off my finger everywhere! Then, applying it on my face I felt like I wasn't getting great coverage on my nose/chin area. It looked like low to medium coverage, and I felt like one pump wasn't enough (but then if I added more, it felt like the coverage wasn't building up in an even way anyway).
I decided to switch it up and tried applying it with a brush - much better! It meant the thin consistency wasn't an issue and it also seemed to apply more evenly and looked at least medium coverage from one pump. Applying with a brush made it sit much more nicely on my skin, however I noticed a bit of splitting on my cheeks and nose which happens very rarely when I apply foundation. Unfortunately it also seemed to emphasise the pores on my cheeks.
The packaging is sturdy and sleek and I like the pump applicator. I think it will be pretty easy to keep the area clean/avoid product build up. I didn't detect a scent, so if there was one it wasn't off putting.
In terms of the 30 hour stay claim, I always need to apply a layer of powder after liquid foundation as my skin gets quite oily. The only way I would get even close to 30 hour wear with this foundation would be with at least two applications of powder on top (one when I originally apply my make up, and one later in the day when my skin gets shiny). If you don't have oily skin, you could probably get at least half way to the 30 hour claim if you applied one to two pumps with a brush. I don't think there is any way I would be able to test the 30 hour claim as I would only need to wear a foundation for that long if I was planning on a night out - and I wouldn't wear this for a night out as it just isn't enough coverage and doesn't sit nicely enough on my skin.
The fact that the claim is up to 30 hours wear is quite disappointing, however overall it is a good price for a decent daily wear foundation. I wouldn't use it without the powder, and I wouldn't use it for special occasions. Therefore, I wouldn't buy it again as I have found nicer daily wear foundations that I can easily apply with my fingers.
Tips: Tip: Apply with a brush and then apply the Super Stay powder on top as it will really even everything out and provide a more flawless finish.
I was so excited to try this foundation as it promised everything I look for in a base, long wearing, sweat resistant and transfer proof. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. I got the wrong shade (through the Beauty Vault) but it still seemed to work which was a nice surprise and when blended quickly with a sponge it looked gorgeous. A nice medium coverage and doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. I used it over my favourite primer which I always use when try a new foundation because it never fails me but after a particularly shiny end to the day I tried it again with another primer the next day. It looked great for the first 6 hours but then it started to break apart on my cheeks and chin. I always set my foundation with a powder but by the 4 hour mark I started to look shiny. I am fairly oily but after using blotting papers every hour(after 4 hours of wear) for the first few days I have had to admit that this foundation isn’t for me. It may work on more normal/dry skin but I definitely wouldn’t repurchase this product.
Tips: Shake well before use. It has a pump and can get a bit blocked as the foundation dries on it, use a warm damp cloth to clean it and then dry well afterwards
Love the idea of a 30 hour wearing foundation for those big workdays you need it to last all day.
Unfortunately the formula did apply a little patchy on some areas of my skin and the foundation wore down even more on those areas after around 6 hours so not as longwearing as expected.
The coverage was originally quite nice on the skin otherwise, more medium buildable and I was able to find a suitable colour match which was nice being paler skin toned it can sometimes be a a pain to find the right colour.
I will probably keep this as a back up foundation and keep looking for a better formula that applies nicer on the skin.
Tips: The formula dries quite quickly on the skin so apply in small areas and blend out to avoid it drying to quickly and turning super patchy.
The 24hr version of this was so much easier to blend as this new one dries much too quickly. The tone match was great, though and it did last the whole day. I don't think you would even need powder if your skin isn't as oily as mine is. Also not as full coverage as the 24hr, which I used to use without concealer.
Tips: Blend with either a beauty blender or brush and blend as if you've only got 10 seconds left before you have to go because this stuff dries so so quickly! A primer really helped with this, also. I use the Nivea Men's Sensitive Aftershave
I thought that this foundation would be good but I was sadly disappointed. It was not full coverage, it dried out on my skin too fast while I was still applying it and it left my skin looking very patchy and not very flattering. I tried it a few times with different primers, using a beauty blender and brush but they all gave quite similar results. The only thing close to being true was the 30hr part as it was really difficult to remove.
I’ve used this for about a week now, and it’s ok. I like the packaging. Nice and clean. I find the white a bit hard cause often it ends up covered in the foundation from my hand to the lid.
Coverage wise, it was decent, made my skin feel really soft, but i did find it clings to the dry bits of skin, which I try to steer clear of. It feels light on the skin. I wouldn’t rush to buy but it’s an ok back up.
