Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Review

I won this from BR (thanks to them again heheh), and honestly, it is the best foundation I have used so far. I usually use Revlon Colorstay for everyday or Estee Lauder Double Wear for special occasions. They are nice, but since I have discovered this, I actually reach for it over any other foundation I own. The colour (Nude) is a perfect match for my skin and the finish is beautiful. Everyone has been saying it's a matte finish but on my skin, when I moisturise first, it ends up a matte-satin finish, which I really like. It is quite natural looking and nowhere near as cakey as Colorstay/Double Wear can get.

I've been using this for 2-3 weeks and haven't noticed any noticeable improvements in my skin when I'm not wearing foundation, but my skin is usually not too bad anyway. I have noticed that since I started using this foundation, I have not had any blemishes come up, so it's good to know that this is not blocking my pores and causing me to break out.

The packaging is nice. I really like the pump because it is way less mess and drama, and I waste less product. The glass with the blue is quite cute and chic.

Overall I just really love this foundation and would recommend it to anyone who wants decent coverage that won't break you out (aka everyone. Everyone wants that..)

i have the greasiest face ever. i have struggled with finding the right foundationthat stays on my skin all day at work. this is one i have found that actually stays on my face and doesnt make me super greasy. my sister in law reccommended it to me and i havent looked back. the colour i have is suited perfectly to my face which i always struggle to find the right shade, the formula is nice and smooth and easy to apply.This foundation has never broken me out and my skin is very clear im not sure if it is from the foundation but it never gives a cakey or heavy look but still covers the bits i need covered. i would 100% reccommend to a friend looking for a new foundation with oily skin

I have always stuck to foundations I know, but was running late to something so grabbed this from the supermarket which was convenient and the foundation was pretty good, stayed on all day, let my skin breathe and also I was able to not feel like my face was orange. I didn't notice any more break outs than usual, I could possibly have gone into a chemist to get the exact colour match, but this was more convenience, so this is a product of good value and worked well didst cause the skin to become any more oily and was not dramatic differnce in drying out of the skin.

I really do not enjoy this foundation! I find that it sits on my skin as appose to blending into my skin! Also has terrible lasting power on my combination skin, looks good when first applied but after a couple of hours it's gone patchy and worn off in some places! Will continue to use this foundation on days where i'm not fussed about the coverage or only going out for a short period of time! But overall, i would not recommend this foundation as there are better ones out there for a cheaper price

I was lucky enough to have won this foundation from BR. They had asked me to pick my shade - I love the fact they had such a variety to choose from. It's usually hard for me to find the right shade. I'm a medium/fair skin tone. Sounds easy, but it's so hard to get the right match!

I went for the shade 'nude' and it's the perfect colour for me. I applied the product with my mac stippling brush - I got the perfect coverage and blended like a silky dream.

I was very impressed at how 'skin-like' it appeared to be - even after hours of wear. It's not heavy & not too light. I would say its the perfect cross between a BB cream and a full coverage foundation.

I used to be all about that heavy full coverage foundation life, til I realised I can get the same amount of coverage without caking up my face. So this product was great to transition into a lighter application.

I haven't noticed any improvement to my skin as it says - but maybe thats over a longer period of time? (it's been a month now)

Also noticed it's staying power is actually pretty good. I set it with UD Setting Spray and Too Faced powder. So whether or not that's the reason it's stays longer, I'm not sure.

This is my every day foundation now and will continue to be so!

I've been using this for over a month now and I'm not completely sold on it yet, nor has it "improved my skin" like it states it will. I still don't like liquid foundation as they're too heavy for me, but thought I'd give it a try since I won this from BR (thanks!!). I used the shade Sand which blends nicely with my olive skin tone and it's wonderful that they have such a wide range to suit so many people.. It's more like a cross between BB cream and a foundation - it's not too gluggy but not too light, and I have to admit it felt lovely and smooth and soft on my skin and when first applied it looked very even and flawless. It did last all day, however I'd get home from work and look closey and see it's formed into cakey patches over the day and looked terrible. I've tried wearing it on its' own, with mineral powder over top, with highlighter powder over top, and with setting spray and it caked every time so it's possibly how it sits on my combination skin. I did apply it with my fingertips.. Maybe if I got a foundation brush it may sit better, I'm not sure. It has a great wee container - very handy to sit on my cosmetics table with a simple pump to get it out, no annoying squeezy bottle, but I wonder how it would travel since the pump doesn't have an option to lock it, so when traveling, it could potentially make a mess in your cosmetics bag. I like that is has all the good stuff in it for your skin (vitamins, spf 20, actyl C) and no nasties (perfumes etc) so this is always a seller for me.. I think I'm a bit anti because I just don't like foundations, but as far as liquid foundations go it is great!

After all the hype about this foundation on here (that and the foundation giveaways BR and Maybelline had) I just had to go out and buy it, and I am so glad I did.

I picked this up from countdown when they had the 30% off beauty sale (if I remember correctly) and it only cost me about 20ish dollars, which is obviously a bargain that I couldn't resist.... Not that I can resist any bargains anyway lol....

I have been using this so much lately and I am really loving it. I apply a moisturiser first, and then my primer (I find it works incredibly well with the e.l.f tone adjusting primer) and then I just apply it with my fingers.

It looks so lovely on. It's not heavy or cakey and it doesn't stick to my dry patches (although I am careful and add a bit more moisturiser to those areas).

With just one layer of foundation, it leaves my skin looking healthy with that subtle 'no makeup, makeup look, and I absolutely love it. Of course that changes once you add your blush and bronzer etc but you could very easily pull off this no makeup look for an everyday makeup look.

I haven't noticed any breakouts or skin imperfections since using this foundation (apart from the ones that I just seem to be prone to) so that is definitely a huge bonus. It's really easy to remove, I use the skinfood cleanser and it takes it off really well. That could quite possibly be frowned upon but I have just recently switched back to my skinfood cleanser as the Neutrogena makeup remover just didn't agree with my skin, so my skin is obviously happy with my regular routine :)

I have noticed that there is an added shine mainly to my forehead when I get hot, but it doesn't get oily so that's great. I just either add a bit of powder or gently dab it with a tissue and the shine almost disappears completely, and wait for it...... There's never any transfer on the tissue. Usually when you have to do this your foundations smudges or transfers, not this bad boy ;) How amazing is that?

I am so in love with this foundation atm, I reach for it way more than any of my other foundations. It hasn't made my skin look healthier as such, but when I do have this foundation on, my skin looks great and would appear to look healthier, so I am definitely more than happy with that. I would definitely repurchase!!

After reading a few reviews I decided to buy this foundation and give it a try. I often find foundations to heavy on my face but this foundation is great. It was easy to match it with my skin tone and it just blends into my skin. It feels really light and it evens out my skin as well. I wouldnt say it made my skin better but it doesnt clock up my pores so thats a big improvement to me. I will stick with this foundation for sure. Thanks Maybelline!

This is my new fave holy grail foundation. Since using this my skin has improved and its the perfect summer foundation for me.

I love how light this foundation is. Its perfect for the warmer months and it easy to blend. The foundation stays on all day even when its hot and It doesn't melt off my face which is great. I like this for the warmer days.

I apply this foundation with either my sponge or my brush and it works so well. Easy application every time. Just don't attempt this with your hands as it doesn't work too well (or maybe that's just me). I know this foundation isn't the cheapest but its defiantly worth it.

Since starting to use this my skin is more even, smoother and brighter. I love how healthy my skin feels even though I wear makeup daily. I really like how this makes my skin feel.

Give this a go for summer :)

I purchased this foundation from countdown a few weeks ago in shade 10, and so far I am liking it, although the colour seems to be quite dark for such a light shade. I have applied this foundation with a brush and my fingers, and have found that the brush is a lot easier. It gives buildable coverage, and is quite light with just one layer. The formula is a bit runny, but easy to apply and blend. I have reasonably oily skin, so I used it with a pressed powder on top, but it didn't quite last the whole day before it started to go oily and patchy. The packaging is quite nice, and it comes with a pump which is a bonus. Although the colour is a bit weird and takes a while to oxidize, I think this is a good foundation for the price, and I would recommend it.
