I was very excited that finally a product on the market was good for your skin, long wearing, good coverage and not overly expensive... I have even skin with little problems in pimples or oil an yet I could not keep this product on my skin. I actually found it felt a bit oily for my skin an when looking in the mirror a couple of hours after application it had gone patchy on my chin area. The price was good the colour I chose was sand and that was a good match its just a shame the product didn't stay on. The coverage when applied was perfect for what I like. If only it would stay put !!!

Reviews
This product promised a lot from a simple product, and I think it's safe to say that it lived up to my expectations in some areas, but unfortunately not in others.
First off it definitely lasts. I have quite dry skin, so I used a primer underneath and the foundation did last all day. It creased a little on my forehead, and around my nose but apart from that it lasted really well and I was really impressed.
I must admit the colour that I picked up was a little off. I think that all the shades have a slight yellow undertone which wasn't 100% what I was looking for. This didn't make a huge difference, but I'll probably pick up the lighter shade when I'm in Farmers next!
But does it give you better skin? I am yet to be convinced of this but my skin hasn't been that bad as of late, so it's quite hard to tell. I can safely say that it doesn't look any worse!!
Tips: Use a primer most definitely, and also use a powder to set it. I found using my fingers to apply the foundation gave the best coverage too :)
When i first got this i was really skeptical that it would match my pale skin let alone improve it, boy was i wrong. I got this in the shade light beige and it blends so well with my natural skin tone. My skin after 3 weeks of using it is so much softer than before and i THINK has more of an even tone too. Unlike other foundations ive tried this feels more like its another layer of skin so i was really doubtful it wouldnt transfer. I made sure to wear a white shirt and it left my collar pristine. I have dark freckles though and this didnt quite give me full coverage but i love the coverage i got, much better than most foundations ive used and its totally builable too. Def a new favourite for me i know ill be buying it.
Tips: Apply moisturiser first to get a smoother application
Firstly I was surprised ( as the title may suggest ) with the coverage and consistency of the foundation. This foundation can be built up to suit anyone's coverage needs. The consistency was creamy and smelt beautiful. I enjoyed apply this to my face. It wasn't completely long lasting, this could be solved with setting it with a powder but I wanted to see how the foundation lasted on its own. The time frame for usage didn't completely allow for me to see different results in my skin as it states "in three weeks" and I was only given two. Although I have noticed my skin feels and looks more hydrated.
SPF20 was a bonus because I think foundations should help protect your skin from the sun so I felt confident eps earring this on all occasions. The pump made application easier.
Tips: Brush application wasn't the best try using a sponge. Also always prime with this foundation for smoother results.
At first I was very happy with this foundation as the colour was perfect and it went on really nice, however after a full working day being flat out and working with children I noticed there wasn't too much 'superstay' still on.i was a wee bit disappointed it doesn't last as long as I had hoped it would, but maybe just isn't right for my skin and that's not to say it won't be perfect for you! Xx
I found this product perfect for me. It made my tone realay even and it lasted even in a very hot 3 day event. I was pleasantly surprised with the colour match for the skin. It suits me better than a real expensive product I had actually bought. This is now my go to foundation.
Even tone: yes hydrates: I didn't notice it too much but my skin wasn't dry( it usually is) Evens skin tone: with foundation yes, with out it, my skin looked good and I didn't have any redness. I don't normally but I'd say my skin improved. spf20: AWESOME!!!
Tips: None for this product. I really enjoyed it and I don't need to put a moisturiser on bit I do just in case. Always check your skin tone!
I was chosen for the trial review on this product and after trying it, I was pleasantly surprised.
To me certain brand are known for certain stand out products. Maybelline has always been stand out for their mascara's but in my opinion have always missed the bar when coming to foundations that i have tried in comparison to other brands are the similar price bracket etc.
But when it came to trying the Superstay Better Skin, they have stepped up their game. It was a good creamy consistency, the coverage was medium but very build-able to full coverage.
I would give it about an 8/10 for staying power as I found that i did have a few faded patches towards the end of the day but nothing to major, my face hadn't melted off or anything :).
So all in all I found it to be a good all round foundation. Not to expensive and long lasting. I would purchase this myself :)
Tips: I primed before application and then applied the foundation with a Flat top Kabuki brush then set it with a finishing powder and it gave it a beautiful finish :)
I was fortunately chosen to trial this product! As a lot of others, I was skeptical, would it really improve my skin? First of all I like the packaging, the pump is very convenient and gives out the perfect amount of foundation in a couple of pumps. The formulation is quite thick, and not normally what I would go for, it's medium-full coverage and applys smoothly. I also appreciate that it is SPF20. I have combination-oily skin and unfortunately for me, this foundation did not improve my skin and make it better as it claims. Lately I have not been breaking out, but when using this foundation the first time, within 4 hours I had bumps coming up around my jaw line. Regardless, I wore it for a total of 10 hours and it had slightly budged around my nose and cheeks. So as for staying power, it is brilliant for the price. bearing in mind I set it and used a primer. I continued to use this foundation for a full week and as time progressed it broke me out less. So perhaps my skin just needed to get use to it. Although the odd pimple still comes up. Overall at first I was unhappy with this product, but after using it for a couple of weeks I would wear this for special occasions as it is long wearing and full coverage. But it does not improve my skin.
Tips: The thick formula dries quickly and is difficult to blend, I found beauty blender best to apply this foundation. :)
This foundation was good while it lasted. I found on my combination skin it slid around quite a lot and rubbed off on my nose after around 2 hours, so couldn't wear this for long without needing touch ups. I found if anything it actually made me break out more, nothing changed in my routine except this foundation. Texture was nice to apply and I was able to blend easily and it didn't dry too fast, just the right amount of time. This foundation also oxidised quite badly on my skin so again couldn't wear it for very long times, and I found I would have to layer up on a lighter powder and skip the bronzer when touching up. I did love the feel on my skin and the finish it gave and wish my skin liked this foundation too!
Tips: Not really good for oily noses/faces, a mattifying primer may help with this! Buff in with a kabuki/expert face brush or use a blending sponge for the best finish!
I have to say I was very sceptical about trialling this product due to converting to Garnier BB cream recently as I found that great for me. I have always used a moisturiser prior to applying foundation which was no different when trying this product. I found on the first 2 occasions of using Superstay within about 4 hours my skin had a very shiny and oily sheen to it. I decided to try using the foundation without using a moisturiser first and my skin felt great and no oily marks or sheen appeared. I have found this product great for me due to the flexibility of it's use. For me during the week for work to look great on the front line I apply foundation to clean skin and then apply thin layer of Thin Lizzy over top and then mascara, and lipstick. I feel great and confident knowing my look keeps fresh looking all day long. On the weekends if we go out I wear a thin layer of Maybelline Superstay and nothing but clear gloss lipstick and people tell me how amazing and youthful I look. I have to say I now alternate between Superstay foundation and my beloved BB cream.
Tips: Do not use a moisturiser prior to applying this foundation due to the high gloss that appears and does not last as long on your skin.
