Great lipstick!!!
Smell reminds me of play doh (which I love). It’s a rich creamy texture. The colour is super vivid. Once dry - it ain’t going no where. Can make your lips feel dry. I woke up the next day with it still on!!!

Tips: Be careful when applying. It does stain!
Love the packaging, love the colours and shades once on the lips but I didn't overly love the formula. I felt it dried out my lips a little too much for my liking.
This lipstick is the longest lasting liquid lipstick I've ever tried! Usually lipsticks wear off for my by morning tea time, even the ones that claim to be long lasting never seem to stay put. This stuff really is like ink. The formula is creamy and very pigmented, you only need one swipe for great colour pay off. It dries down to a matte finish and once it's dried it's not going anywhere! It lasts me all day from around 7am to 6pm during the working week. Occasionally I need a wee touch up after eating but most of the time I don't need to worry about it. The only down side is that they do dry my lips out so I make sure to use a good lip treatment at night or sometimes I'll pop a balm over the top if they get really dry.
Tips: Take your time when applying as it's hard to shift if you make a mistake. If putting a balm over top be careful as it does tend to smudge the lipstick but if you apply carefully and let it set again it's fine.
I put this on in the morn before heading to work, do a long hard physical days and work and its still in place when I come home! Dont put a snd ayer on during the day as it can tend to get clahggy, if it needs a tidy up wipe the majority of it off and slick the lippy on again. I have 4 colours and this is my current go to lippy :)
Tips: Be careful to follow your lipline carefully as mistales are hard to recity without starting again.
'Pioneer' is a beautiful red-red colour. (i.e. doesn't pull orange at all.) BUT once it dries, when you press your lips together, your lips stick together. It is like as if you're pulling a sticker off your skin, your lips peel apart as if there is a thin layer of mild adhesive on them.
Love the way the wand applies the color to the lips, makes it very easy to apply. Unfortunately half way through the day it gets tacky and does not feel the best . It seemed to last most of the day even in its sticky state! I liked the pink shade l chose , and it seemed to have agood coverage and pigments. But would only ,buy it on sale if purchasing again.
OK, I do not know where I stand on this product! First of all, the pricepoint is amazing, its super pigmented and I love the scent (vanilla-ry), and it does last the whole day BUT it just doesn't seem to work for me. Because it is matte, I have tried putting lipbalm on before application to give my lips some moisture, but then the lip ink doesnt stick and it just turns out to be an ugly mess. If I use it on clean, dry lips it looks great but is suuuuuper sticky and if your lips get dry it once again goes weird with lipbalm and gives uneven coverage. If I eat or drink with it, the inner part comes off but the outside is still perfect so requires a slight touch up.
I do like this product, but I am super conscious of how sticky it makes my lips and need to check it often to make sure there is still even coverage. And it doesnt budge. I have to use makeup remover to get it off. For a night out, I would recommend 100% but for a full days wear in the office a bit too uncomfortable for me.
Tips: Wait to buy until Maybelline is on sale at your local supermarket!
I have this Lip Ink in 4 colours so it is safe to say that I rate it! My favourite shade is 'Seductress' a dark nude colour. At an afordable price you will not be disapointed in it's staying power - it really does live up to it's SUPERSTAY name. A generous sized product, which applies like a gloss and drives fast to reveal a matte appearance which is not going to budge or transfer until it is removed! Highly pigmented, it comes in a wide range of shades. The applicator is an interesting shape, with a hole in the middle to capture the product. I personally love it as it glides along the shape of the lips easily.
PROS: - Perfect for people who do not wish to reapply throughout the day, prefering a lip colour that has staying power - Wide range of stunning colours available - Affordable
CONS: - The consistancy can be a little tacky, be wary of applying too much product to minimise this.
Tips: - An Oil based makeup remover works wonders to remove this, I struggle to remove this with plain micellar water. - Ensure that you take care when applying, try to be precise along the lip line as it dries fast!
I love this product! I don't like super shiny glossy lips, so if you're the same as me then you'll like this Matte look range. They have a great range of colors to choose from and it lasts like it says it does.
Why spend so much $$ on overly expensive ones when this does the trick for an affordable price?
If your lips do go dry, I usually just dab on lip balm not a lot just a little to keep the matte gloss from cracking on your lips.
Tips: One application should do it, over applying can cause a little mess and a cracking mess on your lips
I grabbed a few of these in a sale and I also did something I totally never do which is stray from colours similar to my natural lip colour.
I grabbed romantic and dreamer. Two quite decent sized tubes that will last me a while.
I am absolutely in love with dreamer it’s a really pinky lilac colour and somehow still has quite a natural look to it. It suited a nail polish I picked up in the vault by o.p.i perfectly. I was surprised it suited me without making me resemble a corpse or making my teeth look super yellow. Then Romantic is quite a bright pink.. probably my latter favourite of the two but still nice to try new things.
I am a huge fan of lip stains and I wouldn’t totally describe this as a stain or ink more a paint. But it’s very effective!! It has a wand that you paint the “ink” on with. It creates a paint like coating on your lips and it does dry matte.
Agree it is slightly sticky but not terribly worse than some other lipsticks.
The real positive comes from it’s staying power. I actually brushed my lips with tooth paste and brush to see if this would move when testing the colour and it didn’t budge. It stayed for hours. Applied in the morning and didn’t reapply, and it was still on my lips at 7pm. It had slightly worn on the inside but with lips pressed it was still good looking so I almost have to say if your worried check the inner lip application occasionally.
Also applied to my toddler who loooves makeup and it lasted.. she still had it on the following morning!
Slight taste to it almost cherry like.
I used Mac lip prep prior but actually found it stayed better without that.
It is very hard to remove due to its super staying power but I found wiping off with a baby wipe worked quite well. I don’t wear these often but was nice to have the dreamer colour to use with my matching polish and new maybelline palette on Christmas.
Will probably by another colour or two from the range eventually.
