I chose the colour "Voyager" to review. It is a dark red with berry undertones. The packaging is true to colour and looks very chic.
The wand applicator is shaped in a point with a hole in the middle to hold product. It is firm and not too fluffy, which helps give a clean application. The tip also gives precision and I did not need to use a lip liner.
It has a sweet, fruity-caramel scent which is not overpowering. The colour was very opaque and covered my lips in one swipe.
It took a while to dry down and was sticky for a few minutes, but eventually dried down to a matte finish. It is not crumbly and stays on very well with no transferring. It did not remove with micellar water, but came off easily with an oil cleanser.
I would like to try other shades in this range.
I’ve never used a matte lippy before so was keen to give it a go. I tried to use a shade close to my natural lip colour, but I probably would have liked the next shade up from Dreamer better. The product looks good in classy packaging and I found the applicator worked well. It felt comfortable, but being I thought the shade looked a little dated on me. It lasted well though and survived eating and drinking throughout the morning only requiring a minimal touch up. Unlike long lasting products I’ve used before, it didn’t try out my lips and remained fairly comfortable. It took a bit of scrubbing to remove every last trace at bedtime, so lived up to its Superstay name!
Tips: A little goes a long way, you only need a light layer.
