Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Review

I have tried numbers of mascaras as I have little short eyelashes which point down. This is the best mascara I've brought. It doesnt clog, you can put on layers upon layers. It is very dark and separates my lashes nicely. It actually makes them look long. I know tons of people who use this and love it/

Fantastic mascara that gives me thick dark lashes, this is my holy grail product! When you first open the mascara it can be a little runny but after the first few uses it dries out a little making it just perfect!

This mascara was on sale at Kmart and I decided to get it..  Overall, the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal isn't a bad mascara. It doesn't give colossal volume as the name implies but rather, it gives decent volume and length. It can get clumpy if you get carried away so definitely go easy on the application. 

I had concerns about the large wand but it's actually okay and I don't end up with mascara on my lids. I still like to use a lengthening mascara (L'Oreal Butterfly is my current fave) to finish as I like va va voom lashes. 

How does it hold up after a long day?  I do get some smudging after a long day (but get this with most mascaras and I can't use waterproof versions) and wee bit of flaking.

Does it remove easily with regular eye makeup remover?  Yes, but I still need to get rid of the smudges around my eyes with a Q-tip after using a cotton pad to remove my eye makeup. 

Is there a fragrance?  There is a slight fragrance which seems to common with Maybelline mascaras but this one is rather faint (for me anyways) and it doesn't irritate my eyes. (unlike L'Oreal's Million Lashes) 

Would I repurchase? Yes, if it were on sale and I needed a new mascara. Otherwise, I'd still get the L'Oreal Voluminous carbon black and butterfly

I picked this Mascara up in a rush after dropping the collection cosmetics mascara I actually wanted and its smashing on the ground. I was in a hurry so didn't realise I had picked up the brown shade which was very disappointing.

I have been using this mascara for over a month now and have not been blown away by it. At first, it went on well, added volume and seemed to be a good quality mascara but I am finding it has already gone off a bit, its way stickier and makes my lashes clump together.

The brown shade isn't as bad as I initially thought it would be. its good for those days when you don't want super dramatic lashes but its still pretty dark. i don't mind the packaging either, the bright yellow is very cheery and its easy to open and close.

The mascara comb isn't the type I Like. It is quite bulky so I find it very hard to get into the roots and outside lashes. It also makes lower lash application very difficult.

I probably wouldn't repurchase this again both because of the formula and because the comb was not sleek enough for my liking.

This is my favourite cheap mascara. I have the washable version in blackest black. It reminds me of the Covergirl Lash Blast but with a fibre brush rather than a silicone brush.

This mascara is dark, holds a curl, adds incredible length and volume. It doesn't flake on me and lasts all day long. It washes off well with makeup remover or a wet flannel.

Great price and just as good as other mascaras I've tried, like DiorShow and MUFE Smokey Lash.

This is the best mascara I have owned/used by far. It combs out my lashes so they don't clump together. It also gives my lashes volume. I will definitely be buying this product again. It's great!

I love this mascara so much that it has become part of my daily makeup routine! It has a dramatic effect but can be dressed up or down which is a quality I look for in all of my makeup. The brush is good quality and never leaves clumps, would definitely recommend!

Love this mascara it defines my eyes well . I dont even need fake lashes because my eye lashes are really long and this mascara is one of many mascara a that actually does its job well :) i would so recommend this to a friend :D its affordable and is always in stock :D

this would have to be one of my favourites talk about beautiful eye lashes ;) I don't really have long lushious eye lashes but when I use this mascara it makes my eye lashes pop out and shows my eye colour off more than normal (them being blue green coloured) I get complements all the time :) I usually apply once then wait bout 30 seconds then do it one more time to extend my eye lashes more sort of using like fake eye lashes very amazing :)

The first time i used this mascara i was amazed with the result it lifts, curls, lengthens and thickens the lashes with one smooth swipe. You really only need one or two coats with this mascara it's.. heavy duty and you can over-do it.

I can get my lashes done more quickly than usual with this mascara, no need to curl and mess around trying to build up thickness and shape, the comb glides evenly over lashes and doesn't clump!

This mascara is one of the best quality products i've tried from Maybelline.
