Mellow Baked Eyeshadow in Coco Review

I am so in love with this so if I start waffling or rambling it is just because I'm excited and when I get excited everything comes out all at once and nothing makes any sense so I shall do my best

This of course was in the May Beauty Vault (bless you Beauty Review) and after much ummmming and ahhhhhing and constantly watching the beauty vault pages as part of the new features on the site (such a cool feature) I thought hmmm I could do with a nice chocolate brown eyeshadow i only own brown and brown ooooh and a brown maybe a plum.. Wait.. What?! You get my point lots of browns.

So it arrived and I couldn't wait to try and have a play. The compact is pretty simple it's a round dome shaped compact with simply mellow printed on it. The lid part is clear so you can easily see the colour.

I open it up and it was bling blinging at me its so shimmery and pretty. So I get out my brush and put a little on the brush and swipe it over my lids. This truly is a very pigmented eyeshadow it is amazing. When I looked at it in the compact I didn't for a second think it would look like that once applied but it does. It feels buttery and creamy not dry. It's so easy to apply and blend I'm so impressed it leaves a metallic like finish its not matte and dry. It stays on all day and i removed it with make up remover (this did require a bit of work) I've only used this dry I'm yet to apply it wet since it gives a more dramatic look I'm waiting for a night out to do this (could be waiting a while though) I'm loving it so much i will be buying more of these in a not so brown shade

Finally I have met my dream eye shadow! The last beauty vault was my first entry being on a Thursday for heroes and superheros. All that day I had been planning my attack of what I wanted in the vault. After reading stories on the forum I knew I had to be fast. This eye shadow was one of the items on my hit list. Mellow has a reputation on instagram for having good make up to create some good looks. I knew from what I had seen I had to get this eye shadow.

This single eye shadow comes in this plastic casing with a see through lid so you can see the colour. This colour is a bronze coloured brown. I'm wearing this eye shadow in my current profile pic. I found it so easy to use with my make up brushes too. The colour picks up well and glides on to my eye lids easily. The colour is rich and pigmented. It does have a shimmer in it. I don't thinks it's too over the top like other shimmers.

After making numerous looks with this shadow, I can say that I really love using this. It gave me lots of colour. It lasted long on my eye lids. I'd happily get more colours from this range. I also want to try more. So far I've only used it dry but I really want to try it wet. I don't think it's overly priced either.

I am a big fan of Mellow cosmetics, they offer a wide range of baked eye shadows for an affordable price.

I ordered this shade (Coco) from one of the recent Beauty vaults, thank you so much Beauty review.

It comes in a round container with a plastic lid, the clip fastens the lid into place for safe keeping, and because of the size I can fit these in my little make up bag without taking up too much space. I have also dropped Coco twice since I got it and it hasn't broken which is very surprising for eye shadows.

Coco is a warm medium golden brown shade. I would compare it to a dark bronzer, which I have used a few times for a dramatic bronzer on my medium skin tone.

The eye shadow packs a punch, it is highly pigmented and there is no fall out when I use this eye shadow. It sticks to my eye lid all day, and blending this is incredibly easy.

I like to use this shade to blend around my crease line, it transitions very smoothly with my skin type.

I have been using this shade a lot and It looks brand new.

I would highly recommend this to everyone, Mellow cosmetics is such an affordable and high quality brand.

Baked eyeshadow had me interested and grabbed my attention and at $15 was worth a try. This comes in a lovely little black box with the top of the box showing a clear circle of the container inside so the colour is clearly visible.I liked it was NZ made and free from parabens and no animal testing. The container has a black base and a clear plastic lid which snips shut really firmly. The coco colour is lovely and has a nice shimmer .This was nice to apply and lasted all day which was a real plus. I would have like an applicator with this which I felt was the only negative but no reflection on the product. I haven't used wet yet as I am really happy with the product dry.

Mellow cosmetics are a force to be reckoned with!

I am absolutely in love with this eyeshadow. Creamy and soft too touch. Silky smooth and easy to apply. Blendable and highly pigmented with no colour fall out.

The colour coco is a golden brown colour which is beautiful on its own or used in a smokey eye look.

I can't wait to own a few of these shades,they are beautiful and easy to apply.

The container is a black plastic bottom and a clear lid with Mellow written ontop. The packaging is a little cheap looking, I would love to see them improve the packaging like they have with their lipsticks.

If you don't already own any Mellow eyeshadows I highly recommend these as your next buy, DO IT!

I was so happy to receive the Coco Mellow Baked Eyeshadow in one of the 2 beauty boxes I purchased. I always use browns but this was better than the rest. It has a beautiful shimmer to it. This will last me ages as a little goes a long way. I love that it is cruelty free.

Had never heard of Mellow until the NZ Brands beauty box when I received the COCO eyeshadow. First look screamed quality and high pigmentation with a good amount of shimmer without being too glittery. Soft and smooth to apply so easy to blend. I was happy with the amount of colour you could transfer as I have had trouble with more expensive branded pressed pigments. A good size for the price too! Would definitely be interested in trying more colours in this range.

My first baked eyeshadow...what a treat. So glad I received this in a BB. I love it. As well as being my colour it's easy to apply and blend. I do find it a little hard to open each time I go to use it which is a tad frustrating. But once I get in the fun begins. I'm yet to try it wet but will give that go soon.

I got this in the Best Beauty Box Ever New Zealand Brands box and am absolutely thrilled with it. I probably wouldn't have ever thought to buy or try it were it not for this wonderful beauty box! I do love to wear eye shadow a few times a week to work and try different colours and brands, and this one is definitely at the top of my favourites list now. It's a cute wee container that fastens closed properly so no risk of spillage, and it's easy enough to open too, despite the secure closed latch. The product itself doesn't seem to disintegrate and loosen, causing wastage and scattering, which I am VERY happy about, having had this happen with so many eyeshadow products. However, usually when eyeshadow is good at not doing that, it can be difficult to get enough product on the brush to get really good, thick coverage and colour. Not so with Mellow Baked! A few sweeps of my brush gets enough eyeshadow on to sweep my lids with beautiful, rich colour without having to layer too much. I use Elf eyeshadow primer at the moment, and find the colour lasts all day without creasing (and even with the primer, not all shadows are good like this). I am also finding that since you don't need to use much each time it will be long lasting, so the price is worth it in my view. Coco is a beautiful shade of golden brown with a faint bit of shimmer. And New Zealand made! Highly recommended.
