First impressions count and the Mellow Brow Pomade has gorgeous packaging, just the most beautiful little pot. I've never used a pomade before, as I've always used pencils and the occasional powder, so was keen to try it. There were no instructions, so for a novice, that can be a put off. However after a bit of googling I was away. The colour was great, and the product is very creamy. It is very intense so you need a very light hand. It took a few goes to perfect it. Gives a much more made up look than I'm used to, but is great for evenings and those who would want a more defined brow.

Mellow Brow Pomades Review
Smudge free creamy gel formula that is an all in one brow product and lasts throughout the day without fading. Smoothly glides onto skin and hair to sculpt, colour in and shape natural defined brows. Adds fullness and texture to troubled brows and lightly holds hairs in place.

Tips: Practice if you haven't used a pomade before and go very lightly. It's easy to overdo.
So I know there are a lot of ladies out there (like me) who don't have amazing shape brows from getting them over plucked but this product will be your friend. It is definately the cutest pomade out I've ever used and looks really great on my dresser. You only need the smallest amount as it's very pigmented and creamy and a little bit goes far This is great for someone who likes a soft natural finish or someone who likes the look of definition and boldness. The ponade stayed really well throughout the day but does smudge slightly if you touch it. Fabulous price point for the amount of product you get and I would definately recommend this to others.
Tips: Use a good angled brush to get the best finish and brush brows after to make sure you have an even application through the hairs. Dip the brush in and wipe the excess off on the back of your hand before you start applying to the brows as it is always better to build up the colour than have to remove colour.
I did not notice that as the hours went on any fade to the colour on my eye brows with this eye brow pomade. I haven't tried many pomade type formulas so it's not super easy to give a great description but this glided on easily wasn't clumpy or very sticky and didn't feel too heavy or itch my face. It didn't get all dry or dry out so it keeps well and is long lasting. Sort of reminded me of chi chi brow pomade. I liked that this didn't get lumps or flake off. The lid seems fairy sturdy it hasn't opened itself on traveling in my hand bag. I believe I got this row product several years back from the beauty vault. Mellow seed to be a new company then and I've only heard good things about since. It comes in a pot so you do need your own applicator but I guess you could try to do a winged eyeliner with it if you wanted. I haven't tried this but it's an idea if your into multi use things. What appeals to many people is this brand claims to be vegan, paraben free and not tested on animals but they do sell to Asia. They stock mellow cosmetics at Farmers. I think this pomade comes in 6 shades. I am not sure if this is a "high end" cosmetic but they appear to be. I think I would try this again but right now I'm.into temporary tints and tattoo brows for something a bit more permanent.
After being a huge fan of Anastasia BH Dip Brow, I have to say how impressed I was after using the Mellow Brow Pomade. Smooth texture and great buildable colour. I used the Pomade on myself before taking my newborn baby for a walk. The product lasted all day and held up to a bit of sweat as well. I found application best using a MAC #266 angle brush. Great product! Will use again.
Tips: Make sure to keep the lid shut as it can dry the product out quicker. You could always turn it upside down while using if you forget to put the lid back on between brows. Using an angle brush gives the best clean Insta brow.
Im not new to brow pomades so I was excited to review this! Firstly can I just say its packaging is so clean and tidy. And then Omg surprise a cute little elegant tub that is shaped like diamond/diamanté!! I love it! And now the fomula its a nice creamy consistency and is really easy to apply however I find I am having to layer it on to get the desired look I am after without leaving patches so its definitely buildable and great for first time users of pomade. But just note once this formula is on be asure it is on and doesn’t move. It really is a great product!!
Tips: I would recommend applying this with a light hand!
Packaging is very cute and light weight. Nice surprise that it was in the shape of a crystal instead of the usual round glass container.
It looks small compared to other brow pomades but don't let that fool you, as it has nearly double the product of most brow pomade's.
The formula was really creamy and easy to work with. It came with a clear lid as well as the actual lid itself, which I love!! As this will help it stay creamy and hopefully not dry out.
This pomade did stay on all day but as soon as i touched it, it smudged. Not as waterproof as I would have liked but still a good product
Overall great price point and I would definately purchase some other shades for my kit
Tips: I like to use my Anastasia Beverly Hills brow brush to apply this
The shade CARAMEL would suit someone with light brown hair
This product comes in a cute little pot that is easy to keep in your makeup bag. Not that you need touch ups as it is a great long lasting formula. The colour caramel was the perfect shade for me and was more light ash brown on application. It states that it is a creamy gel formula which is true but I did find it quite dry. I found that I needed to work quite quickly with application as it dried so fast... I used a good angle brush and a light hand to apply. I brushed through immediately with a spoolie. Overall I loved the finish and my brows look very natural given the cool tone of the shade. I would definitely recommend this to others but be aware that you need to have a fast precise application.
Tips: You can clean up underneath using concealer if you want a really sharp precise look.
I picked this beauty up in the last beauty vault . This is my first time using this brand before. I wasn’t sure if that shade would match my skin or not .
Packaging comes in a clear glass jar uniquely shaped . Has the mellow gold labelling on the lid. Consistency is creamy smooth soft finish . I like to use my dual end brush with spoolie.
Application seems to spread out evenly. Very pigmented a little goes a long way . I can do an eight hour shift and brows can last the whole time .
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is . I can see myself purchasing this again in the near future .
I should start by stating that I prefer natural looking brows to filled in, shaped brows so there are products that I find easier to achieve a natural look than a pomade. HOWEVER I am reviewing a pomade and as far as pomades go this is definitely a good one! Highly pigmented colour that lasts all day. Only a tiny amount is needed so product lasts ages (unlike retractable pencils which often only last a few weeks). I personally find brow pencils slightly easier to work with however you can achieve very clean perfect brows with pomades. And this products certainly is super long lasting. The pottle it comes in is beautiful and the airtight cap stop it from drying out - brilliant!
Tips: A little goes a looong way so best advice is to dip your brush then smooth excess on the back of your hand to apply a small amount. I’m using it with a fine angle brush which works perfectly.
I picked this gorgeous looking product from a beauty vault a while ago. The pottle reminds me of a gem! It was the first time trying a brow pomade, I've always used pencils/crayon textures so this was all new to me.
The colour was the perfect shade and at first the texture of the pomade was very easy to use - it was creamy and smooth, applied easily. But not long of using it, probably two weeks in, it became quite dense and hard to apply to my brush and brow.
Unfortunately I didn't bother with trying to work out what the problem was and threw it away. I'm guessing that like a mascara, too much air got in and became clumpy. I'll be sticking with my pencils and crayons!
