As a solo parent of 2 demanding boys, i tend to only buy the cheap $2 shop nail polish. Obviously there is a HUGE difference in quality here using OPI. In the 3 days since applying my polish has not chipped at all as appose to an hour or two with the cheapies! I love the colour and although the texture (liquid sand) took a little getting use to im in love with it now! As i absolutely love nail polish i think i will definately be treating myself with a bottle of OPI here and there =)

OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
Tips: I used a base coat first just to smooth out any un even surfaces in my nail and also just to help stick the nail polish better. I also used two coats of the OPI Mariah Carey - Get your number as i like the darker finish.
I was so excited to try this product as I absolutely adore nail polishes and always have a nail polish on. This nail polish def needs two coats, the first coat came out onto my nail as a light see through greyish colour, once the second coat was applied the darker colour comes through on the nail with the really pretty red specs of glitter/shimmer. Although the colour is gorgeous and a colour I would personally wear, I was just not into the texture of the nail polish. it really does feel like sand on your nails and has a dry and rough feeling on the nail, which combined with my already dry skin, didn't make my hands feel very nice :( When you rub your finger around the tips of your nails, it also makes them feel rough, and to me, gives me that horrible feeling of when you have a broken nail. HOWEVER.....I did apply a top coat over the nail polish and this did take the sandy/rough texture away, which gave me a nice smooth nail. All and all, gorgeous colour, but bad formula.
Tips: Apply a top coat if you want a smoother feeling polish :)
I have very short nails that arent very flattering with nail polish, I have had my nails done every month for the past 7 years and have mainly had acrylics, after so long last month i thought that i would give my nails a rest, but because I have had them done for so long they have ruined my nails which were paper thin and real rough. I have found that the OPI Mariah Carey The Impossible nail polish has an immaculate shine, and being quite sandy its mixed in just wonderfully with my already rough nails but giving them a real lovely texture. They sparkle and as I am quite dark skinned the colour really suits my skin tone and my nails even though short really stand out. I really really like it and would highly recommend it!
Tips: I found that 2 coats was sufficient, they shine and its very hard to chip so you can be rough and it still stays on. I have 4 soon to be 5 kids so I am really busy and use my hands alot and my nails look the same as what they did when I first applied the nail polish!
So I was lucky enough to try Mariah Careys new OPI Stay the night.... I put a base coat on then this product... I didnt like the texture on my fingernails. Once applied i had the urge to keep feeling them. I like smooth and this didnt really do it for me. I also noticed it started to come of easy while washing dishes (as most nail polishes do) but thought this brand would be more tough. I didnt really like the colour either i like bright. But each to their own.
Tips: Make sure you put a base coat under it
I had a go at using this this tonight, after applying a base coat I applied 2 coats following instructions. I found it hard to get an even coating understandable with the glitter in the polish. Yet the brush was difficult to glide over the nail and found it hard to get nice edges. the glitter seemed to clog the brush so it was much harder than normal to apply than i find with colored OPI shades. Personally while i like the look and love the color it was not as simple and easy to use as standard polishes and prefer the smooth classic look.
i love this colour so much and this brand is even better becasue it doesnt chip, lasts longer etc, best brand out there in my opinion!
I absolutely love the colors and shades that OPI comes up with the only problem is the brush isn't of good quality and they dry up and clump more easily then other brands.
Tips: Please Opi improve your brush
When I first got it, I was impressed with the color and it did not disappoint me on my nails. It's a bit hard to get the stars out of the bottle though. Two coats are good enough as it is really pigmented. To be honest I'm not a big fan of sand finish but I really like the color and I will definitely try out more OPI nail polish
