Nars packaging is lovely. With a black rubberised finish they do pick up makeup off your hands and table quite easily but that doesn't bother me. I do like that these are quite thin, makes them very easy to travel with. There is a mirror in the lid. But I don't really see the point of that when it is so thin.
Key Largo is a duo of a matte very light peachy pink and a shimmery bronze. I bought this duo in particular as I thought it was one eye look in a duo to make it easier to travel with. Usually I wear the light pink all over the lid and the bronze in the crease and with a thin liner brush as liner on the top and bottom.
On to the reason that I haven't scored this particularly well. The light pink shade is very hard to pick up! I think it just lacks pigmentation. It is very light and almost chalky. I still use it quite often but it can take a while to rub the brush in and build up the color. The bronze color is beautiful though! A golden bronze that picks up perfectly and blends like a dream. The two colors go together nicely and make a great everyday look for me. I just feel like it takes longer than it should with the pink color to make it work well. Especially with the price!
I managed to pick up one of these duos for $10 on a One Day type site in a stunning blue and grey. I was so excited to get this eyeshadow as I love Nars products and the blue shade was very unusual and I hadn’t seen it before. As soon as it arrived I swatched the colours and they were beautiful and smooth unfortunately they didn’t translate like that on the lid. I found the shadow patchy and very faint and the more I applied the worse it got. I’ve tried different brushes, different eyeshadow primers and even using Mac Fix + but with no real improvement. I love the packaging which is the standard black rubbery compact that Nars is known for. The colour did last all day and it felt very lightweight but I would not purchase one of these duos again as I can definitely find better quality for the standard price.
