They come in Metalic and matt. I own 3 shades (Metalic silver, Metalic gold and Matt blue). Let's talk about pigmentation. As they call themselves eye paints. Yes it is highly opaque. The gel texture is smooth and easy to apply however you have to work pretty quick as the gel tends to dry really fast. According to my combination to oily skin, after a few hours wearing it, I got creases even though I had already applied eye primer. As the result I enjoy wearing on its own, I don't do so many colour shadings with this products and these eyes paints also make fabulous eye liner. When it comes to price tag. $39 for a colour is quite pricy. I don't think I will add more in my stock. I will try something else which is cheaper,

Tips: I got the better result applying or blending it with my finger.
I was lucky enough to receive a Nars Eye Paint as a gift in this most beautiful black shade with a green reflect through the colour! Swatches beautiful, looks beautiful in the pot but yet when you're wearing this as liner you can't see the glitter - boo! Unfortunately i don't reach as much for this product as i should, maybe if i had a different shade i could use it as a base all over my eyelid - similar to Mac Paint Pots but i have a feeling it definitely would crease
When I first got this eye paint I absolutely loved it. The colour is incredible, and looks amazing when you are doing a smokey eye.
Unfortunately, after about a month it completely dried out and when I would add water to it to try and create the paint it had lost most of its pigment and became a sheer watery mess on the eyelid. Really disappointing for a NARS product and definitely wasn't what I expected.
It was amazing at first though so at least I got a decent month of use out of it? Won't buy it again though considering the price and how little it lasted.
If Bobbi Brown gel liners and Mac paint pots had a baby, it would be Nars Eye Paint. Soft, creamy and pigmented, these can be used as liner or cream shadows. You have a minute or two to blend them and then they set and stay in place all day.
I have Balbeek (bronze), Snake Eyes (Blackened Green metallic) and Porto Venere (soft pink-cream, great for eyeshadow base or lower waterline).
One day Tatar (purple) and Ubangi (navy) will be mine....
